The players are professionals and we shouldn't expect them to breach their contracts and risk monies they are owed.
The trust could/should arrange for the fans to watch the players kick off and then walk out.
75 gone, still 0-1. Another good save from Barrett closing down the striker after a neat through ball but two half chances for Wednesday as Bayliss and Evers both advanced from the corner of the box but Bayliss was crowded out and Evers' shot was weak and at the keeper.
Hour gone, and SU just wasted a one on one that would have doubled the lead. Rio Shipston is finding more time and space so far in this half and struck one just over the bar from the edge of the area a few minutes ago. Still 0-1
Half time 0-1. Wednesday started well and should have been ahead. Bayliss inexplicably tried a pass when a shot looked the option, Fernandes hit the bar from a tight angle and Ridge steered a volley from a corner wide. Then they gave the ball away between defence and midfield and the winger advanced to the edge of the area and shot low. The ball went under Barrett - think he'll be disappointed.
Since then just one proper chance; Barrett made a good save when a goal looked certain.
0-1. Wednesday have had the better of it, missed chances, hit the bar, so obviously they gave the ball away at the back in the 20th minute and were punished for it.
Just a day later 10-man Sunderland scored a late equaliser against Villa to get a point. How is this even a conversation? Of course it has to be replayed. It was only 1-0.
In 1961 Denis Law scored 6 goals as a match against Luton was abandoned at 6-2. City lost the replayed game 3-1.
Even if he was the new Lionel Messi the EFL wouldn't allow him to be registered.
I would suggest he goes to train with Park Steels or Hallam (or their local jon league side). If they are good enough they would move up the leagues pretty quickly, especially if they avoid signing contracts.
