  1. Must be some journalistic licence there, surely no Wednesday fan says it!
  2. Exactly this, if Everton can build a ground in a dock on the Merseyside estuary I'm pretty sure some earthworks to level up a bit of hillside in Sheffield isn't beyond a possibility
  3. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2025/nov/22/sheffield-wednesday-sheffield-united-steel-city-derby-history-championship Nice write up of the derby. But come on who said they respected Wilder....
  4. Wouldn't be against that, although the quality and number of kiosks and toilets in the tkop would need improvement to justify it think
  5. I'm still surprised our previous owner didn't have dynamic pricing per seat based on his opinion of quality of view!
  6. Although price is the main thing, another thing I think would help with attendance is scrap most of categories. Just have two. One higher price for 9 games for local teams/big games. One lower category for the remaining 14 games. And also important categorise all matches at start of season and advertise it. Everyone knows the price - 'this is what it costs to go to a match this season' - and people who are out of the habit of going will gradually find out by word of mouth.
  7. Probably wanted to cling on longer..... but judging by the evidence on Instagram posted on here went on holiday to Shanghai instead. Then when got back it was too late
  8. The only thing chansiri did well was to be so inept, or careless, that the club was effectively able to be taken off him without having to wait for the regulator to do it. So glad the admin team are running the sale process in a professional way being as transparent as possible with fans as opposed to the DC alternative which would just never have reached a conclusion.
  9. Think £20s plenty campaign is long gone these days. Been to see Harrogate Town recently, league 2 £23 standing... £26 for a seat! Don't think 30 is bad really and members get £5 off too. Be interesting how members priced for the bundle. 4x£5 off or something different maybe?
  10. I think we might have got another season out of him too had DC just let him get on with the job. Whatever the final straw was on falling out and exactly when we'll probably never know. But seem to remember Danny saying in press conferences from early April he'd informed the club of his intentions for the end of the season. The fact he had to come back 4 months later in August as it still wasnt sorted only reflects the dire way the club was being run.
  11. Incredible effort from all involved. As the old saying You dont choose Wednesday, Wednesday chooses you! Let's hope the same applies to the next owners
  12. Brought back some memories there. My first game as a student season ticket holder. It's been largely downhill football wise from there but wouldn't have missed the last 27 yrs for anything. Thanks to everyone who's fought to start to turn our Wednesday round. Here's to the future.
  13. Made it onto the bbc 10 o clock news. Thats how much of a mess DC has made. Nice confident quote from the administrator again about quick sale.
  14. Definitely, huge thanks due. Superb effort from all involved.
  15. Best defence in the league, only conceded 7. We've got the worst at 23
