  1. The letter has now been sent. For those saying it’s a bit embarrassing—I get it, to some extent I agree. But based on what I read, the cringey, over-the-top style was probably the only way to stand a chance of it actually being read. Its a cultural thing! Do I think it’ll be read, let alone replied to? Honestly, No.. But my logic came from the article in The Times, which suggested DC holds the Thai King in such high regard that he even had someone he believed to be a distant relative attending Wednesday matches. So, in the unlikely event the King of Thailand reads the letter and reaches out to Chansiri, I figured he’d absolutely lose it and agree to anything, but maybe he'll tell him to sell his palace to.. As for the laughing emojis—no offence taken at all. I even added one myself. -
  2. I will be posting it tomorrow, but feel free to post it yourself. A mail blitz can't do any harm. What good it does remains to be seen, but anythings worth a try.
  3. If anyone else wishes to write to him, the best hope of it reaching him (or more likely one of his underlings) is to write to: Postal Address Office of His Majesty’s Principal Private Secretary The Grand Palace, Na Phralan Road Bangkok 10200, Thailand
  4. To His Majesty King Vajiralongkorn, King of Thailand, Your Majesty, I write to you not as a statesman nor dignitary, but as a devoted supporter of Sheffield Wednesday Football Club—a historic institution in English football, founded in 1867 and cherished by generations. Today, I appeal to your sense of honour, dignity, and the pride of the Thai people, which you so nobly represent. The current chairman of Sheffield Wednesday, Mr. Dejphon Chansiri, a Thai national, has presided over a period of deepening crisis. His refusal to sell the club, despite widespread calls from supporters and the evident deterioration of its sporting and financial health, has led to a painful erosion of trust, hope, and identity among the fanbase. The club, once a proud pillar of community and competition, now languishes in disarray. Your Majesty, Thailand is a nation known for its grace, resilience, and pride. Thai culture is admired globally for its warmth, wisdom, and dignity. Yet, the actions—or inactions—of Mr. Chansiri now cast a shadow, not only over our beloved club, but by extension, over the reputation of Thai stewardship in the eyes of the international sporting community. This is not a matter of politics, but of principle. Football clubs are more than businesses—they are cultural institutions, woven into the fabric of their cities. When they suffer, communities suffer. And when leadership fails to act in the best interest of those communities, it becomes a moral concern. I humbly ask that Your Majesty consider using your symbolic influence to encourage Mr. Chansiri to reflect on the damage being done—not only to Sheffield Wednesday, but to the honour of Thai representation abroad. Intervention need not be forceful; even a gesture of concern from the highest seat of Thai dignity could inspire a change of heart. We believe in redemption. We believe in dignity. And we believe that the Thai people, through your example, can show the world what true leadership looks like. With deepest respect and hope. Sheffield, England Supporter of Sheffield Wednesday Football Club ---

  6. While there's no knowing if he'll eventually sign a new deal, the fact that Baz has stuck around through all this crap when he could easily have said "stuff it, I've had enough, and I'm far too old for all this bull s**t, it would be easier to move on for the last couple of years of my career' speaks volumes of his loyalty to the club and fans. What a guy! Someone who has without doubt earned ledgendary status in my view. I'm sorry if this level of appreciation has been expressed before in other threads, but sat here, half intoxicated with bloody work in the morning, I felt compelled to start a thread about the man. I hope beyond his playing career, he sticks around in some capacity because I can no longer imagine him any where else.
  7. Factor 6, ok for a bit then you'll quickly get burnt
  8. If HMRC apply to the Courts for a winding up order, the club ownership has about 7 days in which it can place its self in Admin, to suspend the winding up process of liquidating the company. This happened when Mandaric took over..
  9. DC.. Glad to see you back Danny. Much has happened since you went off on your jollies. We can no longer pay fees for players for the next 3 transfer windows. Also, only a maximum of 23 permitted players are now allowed and a maximum of 7k per week can be paid to any players we can bring in. Some players are still waiting for Mays pay but I've got this. Skipper not signed yet, same with a couple of others. Here's a list that Paxo has drawn up, I didn't think Anguilla was a real country me sen, but there you go, Paxo says we can get loads from there. Oh, and Danny, I expect top 6, no more excuses.
  10. We won't go bust because it would make no sense for DC to not take one of the current offers on the table, however unpalatable, before that happens; as it'd still be far more than what he'd get back if the clubs assets were liquidated. It's different to the pre Mandaric take over in that we don't have a huge amount of external debt, most of what's owed is owed to DC.
  11. It's not just the transfer ban we have to worry about unfortunately. I've been reading through the EFL Regs and it aint over yet! That just relates to us hitting the 30 day combined period of late payments to players in a 12 month period. The charges against the club, once they've likely laughed out our appeal, will likely result in referral to the EFL disciplinary panel, who can then dish out further sanctions including: points deductions (amount to be decided by the panel), a player registration ban (so not just a ban on transfer/ loan fees, but a ban on bringing any new players in full stop, even if no fees involved), to more unlikely sanctions like expulsion!
