Shea had a great game last night. 1 goal and 1 assist - his first international goal. We miss Pierce's distribution but hopefully he will be back for the next round of qualifiers.
Letting Pierce go for anything less than £10 million (being miserly) would be a massive fumble. It is heartbreaking to see the club being stripped to the bare bones. Serious damage being done, not just to this season (which is a write off) but probably the next 5 years.
I am starting to think that the club has been intentionally leaking rumours of a takeover this week so that we take our foot off the pedal regarding protests....
I wish the players who have left would speak up...... or even better, if the players who remain put out a statement. Surely the PFA has to back them.... the silence is deafening.
I had hoped with DR coming back new owners were circling. However, we have lost our best players and prospects (Charles will leave), lost one of the the best managers in my memory, North stand will close.....it's a miserable time to be a fan.
Does anyone think that the players / manager (obviously) are putting pressure on Mr Chansiri from their side. Eg. Windass & Danny have been making sounds that they want out....similarly, Bannan hasn't signed yet (as per local journalists).
We shouldn't hold this against him. He's probably our player of the season (combined goals & assists). Without him we would be in a relegation scrap this season. Emotions are clearly running high on and off the pitch at the moment. Will be interesting to see what happens once the season ends. I hope he stays.
