Defensively we are utter dogsh!t.

Any new ownership is going to have take decisions with regards to Hillsborough Stadium so exploring the prospect of a brand new stadium has to be factored into their thinking. I’ve always been of the opinion moving to a new stadium has always the most likely route.
-
It’s easier to report on who’s not involved than who is. For me when announced the new owners are not The Walton’s then and only then will I believe it. As things stand Guardscione has as much chance as anyone of getting us?
-
Walton’s nailed on then
-
Is Guardiscione?

Thinking the same myself. Staton in particular won’t have it. Looking forward to his reaction should it be. Bottom line regardless of the sources the fact that they have been in this conversation for quite some time suggests to me they’re interested but only time will tell.

This is why we are where we are and need this opportunity of new ownership to really really succeed. We can’t afford any more clueless clowns.

I’d be amazed if any of them are the new owners. If so then it’s another missed opportunity that this club is renowned for

Liam Palmer to break Andrew Wilsons appearance record.

Undoubtedly has a role to play in the rebuild. Will be very effective in League 1 as he was before. -
He made an interesting comment which in all honesty he’s spot on with the likelihood we won’t have much of a squad next season. Totally expecting the only senior players we’ll have to be Bannan, Palmer and Iorfa.

Were much better when Anderson came on for Wharton. On that performance I really don’t get the hype. -

Burn and Bowen should be nowhere near this side. -
Interesting update from Paul Stanley

Ashley’s a far better business man than Chansiri will ever be but there will be some inevitable negativity should he take control. Personally I don’t think he’s got the will to do what needs doing here and if that proves to be the case things are likely to get even worse which of course they could under any owner but I think there are other interested parties who are more likely comfortable with investing in what the club really needs like facilities and infrastructure. I don’t think that would apply to Ashley? -

The mood on here is no different to when we under Chansiri. It’s just flipped from the will he/won’t he sell to the will we/won’t we get a multi-billionaire owner and as always happens you’ll alway get the realists who like to push the good things never happen to us mantra. If the Walton’s or some other mega rich owners come in, I’m looking forward to the inevitable negative spin on that -

He’s the one many want on here. Some want to be in a position where they can have a bull and a cow with the owner. -

Must’ve dreamt Wigfield saying that some of the parties had wealth that would revolutionise Wednesday then? -
You’d think out of 10 interested parties we should fall on our feet. It’s a bit different to 2010 when Mandaric was the only show in town.

Be very careful. You’re setting yourself up to be shot down as @Owlabroad2001 disagrees with your opinion. -
Potentially a -15 could still lead to promotion

Still think we’ll be under recruitment restrictions next season regardless of new ownership which makes Pedersen’s lack of confidence in his bench even more of a concern because he’ll need these players next season. -

The signings of MacLean, Brunt and Whelan were more with a longer term view in mind. Brunt and Whelan went on to be proven premier league performers alas not with us.

Last 2 times we’ve got promoted from League 1 to the Championship we have got promoted with top end League 1 players. This in turn gives you a problem in the Championship. Under Mandaric we just about negotiated our way through that tricky transition process and a subsequent platform was built for Chansiri’s initial splurge Promotion back to the Championship under Chansiri was blasted off course with the instant sacking of the manager that got us back to the second tier. Chuck in the in the main the failed recruitment strategy we were destined to find ourselves where we currently are. Only an inspired managerial appointment in Röhl kept our head above water but the inability financially to back him is up there with when the butchers, bakers and candlestick makers when Catterick left in the 1960s. Golden opportunities missed due to financial ineptitude. So the situation this season was a lost cause before a ball was kicked in anger but ultimately it’s situation that has been years in the making. Roll on the New Owners whoever they may be and hopefully at long last a well funded long term strategy that’ll be light years ahead of the countless clueless leaders we’ve had for the most part of our existence.

FFS mate it f**king winds me up on here. I mean we are where we are and all opinions are valid but some just take things too seriously. I mean the amount on here who will f**king moan about the constant in their opinion unfounded links with The Walton’s but will to$$ themselves off silly should Mike Ashley take us over
