I've been saying this for weeks. Peds and the team have been doing surprisingly well but I couldn't last. Once the injuries and suspensions begin to affect the tiny squad's ability to compete and more results like Saturday's sap the player's morale, there is only one outcome. It should make the die hard season ticket holders think twice about renewing though.

I agree. How could it be any different if he is still here next season in L1. More senior players will be sold, let go or may walk away after not being paid. The club can't sign any replacements other than freebies nobody else wants or even offer new contracts to the accadamy lads, resulting in Wednesday fielding a team of U19/21s who will get mullered every other week destroying their confidence and maybe even wrecking their careers almost before they get started. L2 will be just as bad after that because more embargos will follow, they always do with Chansiri in charge.

Trust Call For Full Boycott Against Middlesbrough
North East Owl replied to TZOwl's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
The team were showing a little bit of suprise form back then. By the time the Blades turn up i expect Wilder will have got them fired up again and Wednesday to have suffered a few more heavy defeats which will have demoralised quite a few diehards to the point of abject dispair. So it should'nt be too hard to convince them not to turn out and witness what could be a horrific humiliation. -

Got to get 'em all! I bet Chansiri has a Panini sticker book for them now.

Only option now is players refusing to play

The back room staff have a lot of power. If they strike no games can be played. -
Thank you everyone. But it wasn't unexpected, the old boy had been very ill for 8 years with advanced dementia and started having strokes a couple of years before the end. He lived to be 92 but he wouldn't have wanted those last 8. Even my Mother who had been married to him for 68 years said it was a blessed relief for everyone. I just mentioned his passing because it's how I know that was definitely the last home game I attended.
-
The last home match i attended was against Bolton, a 1-1 draw 10th March 2018. I remember it so well because my old Dad died that same evening. They rang me up as I was travelling home after the match had finished.

Look on the bright side, it will be another weekend with no matchday income for him and the rearranged match will be midweek when he'll have to switch the floodlights all night. Drip, drip, drip, Bleed him dry.

Coventry tickets- Non ST.
North East Owl replied to HopefulOwl's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Have Coventry sold all their allocation? If so the some potg tickets will have been bought by the away fans who couldn't get in the away end but sense an easy victory and fancy a good day out. -
How Many Tickets Left v Coventry?

Anyone that buys them is -
By going to home games, especially as a potg supporter you will prolonging the current ownership by directly contributing to Chansiri's income.

Talksport/The Sun - 15 Point penalty
North East Owl replied to The General's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Getting games abandoned is the Neuclar option. All that will achieve is give the EFL the excuse they need to expel the club from it's leagues. Yes Chansiri loses the money he has put into the club but he is no longer putting money in every month to keep it afloat and he still has the ground he could redevelop since there is no football club left to use it anymore. Everyone, players and staff are immediately out of their jobs and the supporters have no club to support anymore, it's history will just that history. A phoenix club might be formed next season in the Northern Counties (East) league playing at Tinsley or somewhere but many diehards won't want that. -
1 injury off being screw*d
North East Owl replied to The General's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Remember Wednesday have a huge points deduction incomming. Unless this team can find automatic promotion form they are getting relegated. Let's not be in any doubt about that. -
Now it’s the players turn
North East Owl replied to BrianOwl's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
There is a points deduction incomming anyway but a player taking action just brings it forward. However players striking and not fulfilling fixtures would give the EFL an excuse to expell the club without any criticism. If that happens the the players would be out of work at least until next season, and some of them will never get another contract as well paid at another club. So I can understand why they will carry on playing. -
So, have I got this right? Wednesday can't sign any new players because they can't pay transfer fees, can't pay any agent's fees for players without a club, can't pay more than L1 or lower wages even if they could and cant offer new professional contracts to it's own accadamy youngsters. Now Chansiri has failed again to pay the players he already has and some of them will probably walk away in January. How does he expect the club to continue when it doesn't have any players? This is beyond stupid now.
-
The efl won't let Chansiri sell his only keeper after they gave him special dispensation to sign an emergency loan keeper to cover his time out for an injury.
-
Roland can play the piano so Paul might give him a guest spot at his gig.
-
When the injuries and suspensions start to eat into the first team there are no replacements and Peds will be unable to sign any more players for almost 2 seasons. That is without the points deduction which the efl will hand down once Wednesday have enough to points to actually deduct without leaving the club on a minus, which wouldn't look good on the efl.

The Shaymen beat Aldershot 4-2 which made me happy after watching The Shotts ruin my day out at Wembley with Spennymoor last season. Halifax's ground has large standing terraces. It's in the book and now I know why. There aren't many stadiums like this anymore.
-
When everything is good, a very long survey like that won't be completed by most supporters. It's only when things are very bad that they will take the time to plough through that epic questionaire hoping their grievances are recognised. So I expect the results will highlight just how badly Wednesday are being managed by the current owner.

What's your thoughts on Dave's opinion here?
North East Owl replied to @owlstalk's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Prem league games when they play Pep Ball is tedious and I don't watch it much anymore. However my son in law supports the Arses. I watched them v City last Sunday and that game was very open and entertaining. We'd had a couple beers though and I was giving him some banter all game until Martinelli's equaliser had him jumping around the room! -
Rob Staton on the current state of SWFC
North East Owl replied to @owlstalk's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
The EFL are in a tricky situation, the don't have the power to remove Chansiri and even if the did he still owns the stadium. They can't impose fines on the club when it's clear they won't be paid. Points deductions in Wednesday's case are, well, pointless, and they don't want to expel any club from the league, especially in mid-season because it damages the EFL brand, the integrity of the competion and disrupts all the other leagues next season. They also won't want to be seen as the nasty EFL who expelled and shut down a big city club with a long history, creating more problems later when a phoenix club arrises with a potentially huge following playing in the Northern counties league.
