  1. Obviously not! I'm one of the very few people on here who'll apologise if they are wrong
  2. A little late to the party here Royalow. I already admitted I was wrong. But Nannan did quote the wrong regulation number so that added to the confusion
  3. 34.2.3 doesn't exist in the current EFL handbook ? However your comment caused me to read the 24/25 season handbook again, and you are correct in essence. Under Section 6, EFL regulations 25.7.3 it does say Away clubs may charge a levy of 5% of the aggregate sales value. I appogise for missing that when I initially read the rule book.
  4. That was true prior to 1983, the rules changed after that and the home team get to keep 100% of ticket sales. Just check the EFL rules if you don't know. As for booking fees, yes he does get to keep that but the C/card company take a cut
  5. Under EFL Rules, the home team retain all the proceeds of ticket sales from League games. Chansiri receives zero income other than the 'booking fee' , and the C/Card company will take up to half of that in transaction fees. If you want to watch the team without supporting the regime then away games are the way to do it
  6. The whole Derby Country situation was clouded in mystery and shady dealings, but I was told that Morris had to sign over the stadium ownership to CDL as part of the process of CDL paying off the loan which was leveraged against the stadium by a Cayman Island company. The outstanding debt was £22 million which CDL paid and Morris received a nominal £1 for signing the Deed for the transfer of ownership. I asked at the time if it was Morris himself that actually owned the Cayman Island company, and the reply was, who knows? But, as much as I was told, £1 was all that Mel Morris received from the sale of the stadium. The total debts cleared as part of the deal by CDL was in excess of £40 million. I don't think Wednesday have anywhere near that amount of debts outstanding
  7. Nah! Just a way of explaining how things can change within minutes at SWFC
  8. Yeah fair point it's difficult to distinguish one from the other I agree. Maybe I should keep quiet, but when I see something that I know is not true, like the Walton and Fertitta rumours for instance, I have to speak up. It pains me to see those stories go unchallenged and generate hundreds of pages of excited comment and anticipation, when I know they are fake tales By the way, I do think Ugbo has been deprived of quality service in out teams. He's a good instinctive finisher who doesn't need too many touches before getting his shots off, but for whatever reason, be it the quality of the ball in, or just lack of regular game time, he's not achieved his best yet. I live in hope for this season because I doubt we can afford any top goal scorers on freebies or loans
  9. As I've said before on here, on Friday 1st Aug at teatime Baz told several people that he'd had enough of the drama and despite his love for the club he had decided to leave. He had several good offers on the table. It was only later that evening after talking to his family that he decided he had to stay and lead the fight. If you ever get the chance, ask Baz if that's true. He's an honest guy, he'll tell you the truth.
  10. Last throw of the dice by EFL to try to force a sale. They have a duty to safeguard the financial health and integrity of the league, by ensuring a member club does not face financial collapse during the season, and all the problems that would bring. This has echo's of what happened to Derby in 2022. Mel Morris gambled everything he had, said to be £200+ million, to try to get to the Prem, but failed and ran out of cash. He eventually had to face reality and sell. Morris ended up getting £13.3 million after the club debts were cleared, and the new owners paid him just £1 for Pride Park which he owned separately. The one huge danger in all if this is if Chansiri holds another fire sale to raise the necessary cash and hang on, which in essence means Pierce Charles will be sacrificed to save his neck
  11. There is some truth in that statement
  12. Believe all the fake stories you like, I'll still be calling them out when I see them. Just like I did for the Walton fiction, and the same as I did with Fertitta and Guardascione. All fake stories spread by 'journalists' and swallowed hook line and sinker on here. Five minutes of research on each should have convinced anybody these stories were not true, but you'd rather spend your time posting childish comments.
  13. It's not a big step, it's a journo creating an article out of what's already been reported here on Owlstalk and other SWFC related media. Happens all the time, in all aspects of life, 'Journalists' trawl social media for rumours and gossip to find something they can spin into a 500+ word article and earn themselves a pay day
