  1. Enough is enough. Dad & lad won’t be going again or purchasing merch until a change of ownership. FC. UtO
  2. Great letter to DC. Thx Trust. Donated.
  3. As angry & frustrated as I feel by the idiot’s increasingly desperate & lunatic antics, I find the introduction of facial recognition technology inside Hillsboro shocking in terms of its blatant disregard for human rights, personal privacy, decency, and intimidation. But maybe we could use it to our advantage? Desperate times call for desperate measures. As I understand it, balaclavas and printed stockings / neck gaiters / snoods deceive the technology. IMO such circumstances justify resorting to extreme measures. Furthermore, the anonymity afforded facilitates in-ground protests: - If high uptake by the fanbase, would look effective (& unusual) in the media; - On-field protests to get games abandoned; - Sit-in the North Stand / erase the idiot’s name from the seats - Blow referee whistles to your heart’s contents to get games abandoned. To keep costs low, I suspect stewarding / policing will be light. Furthermore, stewards unlikely to be motivated if they’re victims of remuneration issues. Anyway, just a thought…
  4. ‘Protest in the Park’ campaign. An organised march thru the park to the stadium at every home game an hour before ko on a route that bypasses the Leppings Ln, so every away fan at every game leaves the ground knowing exactly wot the situation is at Hillsboro. Gets the msg across. Plenty of Brum fans I spoke to empathised w our situation - they had the same problem as us up until a year ago. They all said how much better the atmosphere is now.
  5. The Brum protest was effective due its simplicity (and clear msg, yellow design, good distribution, & take up on the night). How about making it the norm for a protest march thru the park prior to every home game? Having a band or, at least, somebody banging the drum wud be great. Then, at the Leeds game, another yellow flyer drop: one side, a reminder of the key incompetencies of the present regime; other side, details of a protest march thru the park, an hour before ko, before every home game? Aim to make it part & parcel of the supporter’s match day experience until DC is gone. Start w Bristol City on Sat. Doesn’t impact the game.
  6. Any plan to distribute flyers to the Brum fans? Of all four sides, cud get the biggest hit rate frm the Leppings Ln! They’ll probably empathise w our plight, may think it’s summat different to do, or might just do it to be antagonistic. Whatever, if they see Wed fans holding up flyers when the players come out, they may follow suit.
  7. Aye. Good point. When distributing outside the ground, maybe ask folk prepared to take one if they mind taking a few to pass onto folk sat around them inside.
  8. When the camera panned the Everton crowd on MotD las nite, saw plenty of folk waving protest leaflets a la the DC ones for the Brum game, Fri. So, hopefully, attract similar media coverage. Sorry, if someone has said summat similar earlier in the thread…
  9. I’ll hand out leaflets outside the ground - about to drop 1867g an email to that effect, now. Expect to get some verbal for my troubles on the eve, but, tbh, by the sounds of it, no more than they do for having the balls to take the kind of action many incl myself believe to be in the best interests of this club under the current regime. Frankly, I don’t care, anymore. I remember a time when, win, lose, or draw, rocking up to Hillsboro on a Sat afternoon used to be a joy. Hasn’t been that for a long time. There was a brief flicker of hope following the appointment of Xisco. That soon faded. Then, when Danny arrived. Same again. The problem remains. And will do so until action is taken. That’s just my opinion, how I feel. Won’t be renewing our season tkts. Won’t be purchasing merch (still owed £60 for COVID purchases that never materialised, that I never received a refund for). Not prepared to pay the gate fees on the day, next season. Will continue to support the, frm afar, as always. But we’ll do something positive & healthy on a Sat afternoon next season instead, and, no doubt, look up the score at 5pm. In the meantime, plan to physically support the protest movement for the duration of the current season tkt. Love Wed! In DC, we don’t trust.
  10. A thought for 1867g… Despite the good intentions, perhaps, best not to constantly handover to donations the balance (if there is one!) of protest funds raised - rather provide for a sustained campaign to oust DC. I’m sure contributors trust those investing great time & effort to organise these initiatives. Otherwise, u risk contributors having to pay ‘twice’. Also, maybe, take a leaf out of Danny’s book… You derive the full benefits of operating a high press by applying pressure time after time - not as a one-off. Which, of course, requires inclination, determination & energy. And, in this case, creativity. Sorry, if that sounded like teaching granny to suck eggs - wasn’t my intention. Really appreciate the effort u guys put in. We (lad & I) only support & contribute to what u do. UTO/DCO
  11. We aren’t going to do it FULL STOP. When the current ride finishes in May 24, we’re off. Chansiri out!
  12. Relegation is a positive? Aye. Just as destitution is a dream.
