  1. Our kid, whose got a season ticket, says there were people in black and gold scarves buying beer and scran. Some people really are f00kin halfwits aren't they!?
  2. It was either Rooney or Owen (or both) who said that Emile Heskey was the best strike partner they ever had. Quality footballers talking sense about a quality footballer.
  3. Don't be a ********, lad!
  4. Much too young. RIP Bartman.
  5. RIP Tricky. It was a wonderful time being a Wednesdayite in the early 90s, and TF was a massive part of that.
  6. And Tricky Dickie, the ginger fella off Corrie and that lass from Sky News!
  7. If people voted that they wanted him gone, he'd have a decision to make. Honour what he said or not. Honour it and he'd have to find a buyer who'd pass the fit and proper persons test. Easier said than done, of course. And as I said in the OP I have no clue who that would be, although I'm sure that many on here who are better qualified than me would. (9CFT; don't worry my mate, nobody is asking you to chip in anything other than a yes or no vote) Go back on his word and he'd either carry on as he has for the past 8 years, or have to listen to some sound advice and change his approach. Yes he's spent more than any other SWFC owner in the past, but look where that got us.
  8. How about restricting the poll to season ticket holders, those with club membership ID, and those with a valid iFollow account only? One person, one vote. Of course this would exclude pay-on-the-day supporters unless they'd purchased online i guess. But this would still, by and large, represent our fan base. And I'm sure that somebody far cleverer than me could suggest a realistic way for those folks to prove they're not the enemy and vote too... And for the record; I've been potd many, many times, so I'm in no way whatsoever suggesting those supporters are any less valid. I know some "true-fans" would maybe take that stance, but not me. We're all Wednesday aren't we, whether we go home and away every week, once a season or just listen on the radio. And we all ultimately want what's best for our club.
  9. Think you've misunderstood. I never suggested targeting his family. Read it again my mate... The thought was that if his friends and family understood the mess he's made then they might step in and offer some much needed advice. Don't you think that'd be a good idea for everyone involved with our club?
  10. Hahaha, soz pal. Rookie mistake! Nah, never take me sen too seriously!
  11. Yep, in our case it is. No manager, staff, full squad or obvious direction. Of course I hope I'm wrong pal!
  12. Massive debt. Don't own our own ground. Embargoes. Points deductions. Relegation. No manager or staff. Only 14 pro players (or something like that). All makes up an ailing situation. Promotion was ace pal, we all had a reyt day out but we're not exactly strolling into the Championship with any confidence are we! Are you happy with how our club has been run for the past 8 years? Are you confident DC has learned any lessons?
  13. As I previously said my mate, this was clearly meant as a joke. Julian Assange is a Blade anyway. Didn't you know?
  14. Honour is incredibly important to Thai people, particularly among family and business associates. Perhaps if he's politely shown to be failing in his ventures as a football club owner, then those people would encourage him to seek better advice and turn an ailing situation around.
  15. A joke. Just thinking creatively outside the box. See brackets.
  16. For sure pal, you're not wrong. Just a bit fed up of the seemingly never ending s***show we've become over the last 23+ years. I wish I knew the answer, but my original ask might just get DC to think. Very much doubt it, but you never know. Perhaps there's a better owner out there, or maybe at some point DC will listen to some good advice. Not from me, of course, but there's gotta be someone out there who could get us going. Obvs these things have been talked about a million times, but maybe, just maybe we could be doing better.
  17. What should we do instead? We already support the team home and away, buy the kit, buy the merch, pay for iFollow etc but we're still in a right old mess aren't we? Can we continue to do nowt, or do something. Something better than those teams you listed. Not trying to be argumentative or divisive pal, but how much longer do we just sit back an watch?
  18. Sorry my mate, but I disagree. Shoes off, protest, walk-out, stay away, something more radical. Hack the OS, scoreboard (obvs not condoning that sort of thing) ...??? Something impactful that'll get us talked about and some real media interest would surely, if done well, make DC think. Appeal to his ego, make him lose face with his family and peers (if he hasn't already). Unkown miracle managers aren't unknown, unfortunately. It'd be great pr to get DM back. Most fans would be back on board, and if he can't produce the goods then fair enough, get him gone. But it's almost certain that the next man/woman in charge will be right up against it unless we get off to an absolute flyer. Which, lets be honest, we wont!
  19. You're right pal, it isn't 1973. It's 2023 and we've been out of the Prem for 23 years. Should we just do nothing then, and just hope for the best? Or can we at least try and open some kind of non sycophantic dialogue with DC and get our club back on the good foot.
  20. Fair enough mate. Trouble is though that after all this time he never seems to learn does he or have any kind of coherent plan in place. Many, many worse owners out there for sure. But many better ones as well I'd suspect.
  21. What would you do then fella? Just sit back and hope for the best?
