  1. It's Wednesday lunchtime and I've only just stopped laughing at the Blunts' result against Charlton. I need a glass of water. So much for the "new/old manager bounce".
  2. To be fair to Grimsby, our fight is not their fight. They are under no obligation to help us, and nor should we expect them to boycott a game against us just because we want our chairman out. Their first loyalty is to their own club as ours is to Wednesday. If the tables were turned and we took 5 or 6 thousand to a midweek cup game at a struggling club, I'm guessing that wouldn't be an issue. They just want to support their team and enjoy their win, and I have no problem with that. We'd do the same if the situation were reversed. Our own 3,500 who turned up however .....
  3. Me too. Although this is even worse. Or at least it already feels even worse. I'd be delighted to be proved wrong come May, but I can see us setting all sorts of embarrassing, unwanted records this season.
  4. Given what dire straits we're in ourselves, we shouldn't laugh too hard at the Blunts' current predicament. But we can laugh a bit, and I'm going to thoroughly enjoy it for as long as it lasts. And they've got Boro next who have 3 wins out of 3 .
  5. The big and very important difference here is that theirs is a mindless, visceral hatred for us just because we are Wednesday. There's no logic to it beyond pure primitive tribalism. Wednesday fans' hatred for Chansiri is because of what he's doing to our club, to the point that if it carries on for too much longer we might not even have a club any more.
  6. Definitely. And going to such a horrible plastic club as well. He could have done a lot better.
  7. Pigs have enjoyed saying "mind the gap" to us these past few seasons. Now it's our turn to gloat.
  8. The kids stepped up tonight. That's what's important. It's going to be a long hard season but honestly, it's nights like this that give you hope. Take it one game at a time, that's all we can do. But proud to be an Owls fan tonight.
  9. Sorry to say but it shows . Definitely a good shout getting the upgrade done. It's on another level entirely.
  10. Massive improvement (see what I did there ). I like it a lot. Looks really well done. Don't have any ink myself but always find it interesting what others have done. Have toyed with getting a "midlife crisis" one but not taken the plunge so far.
  11. Out with the wife yesterday afternoon so was reduced to sneaking a look at my phone to check the score every so often when she was distracted. Saw we were 1-0 up at HT and - briefly but foolishly - dared to hope. But head overcame heart and I quietly stuck to my pre-match prediction of 2-1 to them, and so it turned out. Only bit I got wrong was I thought they'd get the winner in 90+ but they did it after 87. Not far off though. It's going to be a long and painful season.
  12. Yup. Rangers had our pants down on that one without a doubt. Doubt very much there's a clause, but would be happy to be proved wrong.
  13. What? That many?! I admire your confidence.
  14. Kobacki .... I had literally forgotten about him
  15. I hated them back in the '90s but have warmed to them over the years. But not to the extent of being prepared to pay daft money to see them and engage in a virtual scrum with half a million other people all desperate for tickets. That said, I'm sure it's a great atmosphere there and also great to see other clubs' fans lining up in solidarity with us.
