I’m sure things will move around bid wise next week. Suggestions that some parties may have indicated they will make a bid but just haven’t done it today (perhaps continuing to examine data room 2 info or maybe even waiting to get an indication of what other offers may have been made). Some bidders may withdraw if they have already been outbid and only wanted it on the cheap. Interesting times.

In fairness the profit is also based on ticket sales with no revenue from season tickets and the big summer tv money payment also gone. Obviously tv revenue is going to drop massively next season in league one but we also don’t need to be paying players 20k a week to sign and play in league one. Let’s build a team in league one mixed with young players and experience (Bannan, Cooper). The younger players can grow with us and can hopefully take the next step when we hopefully return to the championship. Need the balance of the squad in terms of age to be right. Too old and we repeat the mistake of last time. Too young and they may struggle to get promoted.

Think sometimes in an off the cuff chat / video it is very easy to use language which when scrutinised can be misinterpreted

Was a bit weird he mentioned HMRC. They’d look at any club who weren’t paying their taxes. Or maybe he’s mentioning them because we have MP supporters willing to turn the screw. He was right about a lot of what he said. Perhaps he is trying to put off some of the other bidders which isn’t a bad thing if the ones put off aren’t willing to spend on the ground etc

Results have really taken a dive. Hopefully we can get a more settled team after Jan with a takeover and a few new recruits to the first team squad allowing players like Thornton to play at u21s etc.
