  1. I've said this before but I expressed my concerns about the stadium sale at the time. I was firmly put in my place by Owlstalkers who told me ' don't worry, Chansiri knows what he's doing' And l continue to take great comfort in that reassurance.
  2. Gambling addiction affects so many people in this country. If this the way forward, then I'm out
  3. It might be for the best if SWFC folded. The loss of biggish club with a rich history might focus the EFL, government and prospective owners on what a house of cards the current model is. Seventy two clubs living beyond their means and reliant on EPL handouts, betting sponsorship and being propped up by owners who all dream of a big payout if they get a spell in the Premiership. It's unsustainable to carry on in its current format.
  4. Needs to go for his own future. Gonna smash his confidence if the first few games are anything to go by. Looks like picking the ball out of his net over a hundred times, at the current rate.
  5. Living up in West Yorkshire, I can tell you that Leeds fans are planning to buy as many tickets as possible. When they're In the ground the plan to eat everything in the kiosks and drink the place dry. They're hoping Chansiri can hang on for a few more years at least. TBF Leeds ******** boiling at it's best
  6. When do tickets go on sale ?
  7. There isn't a club in the Championship making a profit, it's all about managing losses. What Chansiri is doing makes sense financially in cutting costs, off loading assets, etc. It's what an administrator would do if we went into administration. The EFL or the Regulator won't step in because we are uncompetitive only when the club is at risk. If the bills are being paid then the club is not at risk.
  8. Don't bounce 'cos it's falling down Don't bounce 'cos it's falling down Don't bounce 'cos it's falling down Don't bounce 'cos it's falling down
  9. Win tonight and it's Leeds at home. Big payday for Chansiri?
  10. Don't bounce 'cos it's falling down Don't bounce 'cos it's falling down Don't bounce 'cos it's falling down Don't bounce 'cos it's falling down
  11. Think you're making an assumption that we have a comms 'team'. If they have stayed throughout this period of uncertainty about their pay and futures, they deserve our gratitude for their loyalty rather than the boot.
  12. Club told season ticket holders that they would receive an email with their digital season ticket download in July. That never happened. Probably because the unpaid ticket office staff and communication staff had other stuff to sort out. But, as ever, the club has made themselves more work as they will be inundated will calls from folk wondering where their digital tickets are. More evidence, as if any more was required, of a dysfunction club in chaos. All down to Chansiri, again.
  13. Been waiting for digital season ticket email from the club. I'll admit I don't read everything on X from the club, cos it does my nut in, the fake positivity. Anyway, logged into my ticketing account and there our season tickets are, ready to download. Probably everyone on Owlstalk knew this, but it was news to me.
  14. Nah, in our seats at 3pm, support the team. I'm against Chansiri, but I'm not letting that get in the way of watching the match.
  15. Maybe I enjoy the misery...
  16. If SWFC does cease to exist, does anyone know what a programme from the last ever home at Hillsborough would be worth? Too soon....?
  17. Given the number of season ticket holders / Owlstalkers who haven't renewed / are off to watch Hallam or boycotting, the 12k capacity of the New York stadium should be enough for those of us who are still attending.
  18. So I'm entitled to a refund on my 'Premier League return ticket' from 2001 ? Is that plus inflation and interest?
  19. All a season ticket offers is entry to 23 ( or whatever) home league games. This is regardless of the quality of team or performance. I recall a legal case where a fan took legal action against his club under Trade Descriptions Act as he argued that what he witnessed could not be described as football. The case was dismissed. My understanding is also that credit card companies may well issue a refund but this is pending investigation. If the supplier, in this case SWFC provides evidence that they are not in breach of contract, misrepresentation, supply of service then the credit card company will take the payment again from the purchaser ( season ticket holder ) Anyway, We'll support you evermore ( unless your poo ) doesn't really make a decent song.
  20. If you haven't had a beer and a bratwurst every game you get a football banning order. Different culture innit...
  21. I'm sorry, but I couldn't think of a better description. It's been coming this result for a while, folk I know round Elmsall have always said that The Soldiers would have the beating of Frickley, I think the only shock was the scoreline.
  22. Be interesting this one, last night Frickley got beat 4-0 at home to a local pub team, The Soldiers. So hardly a test bit both teams could 'do with a result' as the experts say. I believe it's £ 5 for adults and £ 3 concessions.
  23. FC United of Manchester would be a club to get advice from regarding set up. They got a load of things right but admit they got loads of things wrong. They get crowds around 1.5k and despite being well funded after ten years are only two leagues higher. I don't believe that non-league would be easy. And I watch a lot of non-league. The progress of Bury was hampered by having two rival sets of fans trying to to be the official Bury, one lot were for a phoenix club the other for resurrecting the old club. Obviously, this wouldn't be the case at SWFC as Owlstalk has often proved that the fans are never divided on any issues regarding the club.
  24. I think fourteen points was the lowest Championship total for a season. So, for a start aim for fifteen. We don't want to be like our neighbours with those sort of records.
  25. Nope, I'm not off to Leicester.
