First game at Hillsborough 1952! The one occasion since then when Wednesday were close to being THE top team was 1961 when they got enough points to win the league just about any other season but came 2nd to an exceptional Tottenham team. Add in the cup/playoff disappointments of 1966, 1993 and 2016 and it's been a lifetime of near misses, so I really hope we can finish top this year. I know it's only League 1, but it's a start!
