We need to remember these guys in years to come. A unique group of players in our history, all going above and beyond regardless of how they play on the pitch.

Having an interest in how our old players are doing is completely, completely normal. The attitude of ‘once they’re gone I don’t want to even hear their name’ is really not some virtuous, Wednesday-til-I-die boast.

If everyone takes this attitude it will never happen. This is the apathy people talk about. Someone else will fix it, I’ll do nothing other than make fun of people attempting to instigate meaningful changes to people’s behaviour.

Exactly. Everyone at the club must be absolutely mentally shot now, especially now the footballing reality has set in. Even great players couldn’t perform to their best with all this swirling around them. We should fully expect to be losing every game. Picking on the players is just head in the sand stuff, you can’t pretend this is a normal season.

Just my opinion, but I think it's completley fine. Bought a black and gold one myself recently in an anti-DC move. Had Bannan put on the back as he announced he was staying when I bought it and I was just blown away he'd stayed with us through our lowest ebb (so far). It's a very 'summer 2025' shirt.

Exactly. Some people still seem to think players should be done in their early 30’s. With the better care players get these days it’s not going to be uncommon to see top pros pushing 40.

I think part of it is down to the current state of the world. Some people don’t like being told what to do, even if it’s sensible and ultimately brings about a good result for everyone. They entrench themselves in a position and will ignore any evidence that suggests they should admit their error and change stance. They further reinforce their ideas through ‘research’ online, which funnily enough always ends up proving they are correct. These people are short-sighted, belligerent, bloody-minded and selfish.

He holds onto the idea he comes out of this with a profit.

Had my black and gold shirt delivered with Bannan on the back, shirt is great but a bit disappointed with the name and number. Very glossy print, looks a bit cheap compared to the matte lettering that I’m seeing on these… Original shirts might have used that but I cannot remember!

Exactly. Even if he only plays a few matches. The younger keepers on the books could definitley benefit from his knowledge. Fans easily forget how brilliant he was for us. The fact he's even said this when he knows what a bad mess we're in says a lot.

Exactly. Those involved with sites like this are the minority. Most people aren’t exposed to every little detail. If I wasn’t on here I wouldn’t know half of what was going on.
