  1. Such a state of affairs when we post laughing emoji's after what is (in football terms) a terrible situation. We must be close to scraping the barrell now and starting a semblance of normality, surely???
  2. Given all available evidence when the present owner is backed into a corner and feels disrespected, it would not surprise me in the slightest to read that Bazza has been sacked by mutual consent .
  3. I agree with this, but I'd switch Bellingham for Palmer. Palmer for me is the most important player, he makes everything tick, creates, scores and does it all without the superstar alpha energy. But what a problem to have. There's going to be some serious talent sat at home next summer for sure. I just hope and pray Tuchel picks a team and not names. The bench is going to be frighteningly full of game changers and finishers, whatever.
  4. It's gone so far now, this season is already a write off. I kinda hope this actually happens now. Would be an epic way for him to sign off. One last epic cluster****, snatching defeat from the jaws of at least getting back the initial investment.
  5. I fear our esteemed owner will see this as a win for Team Chansiri, the mighty Man Utd have bent the knee... and a sign of disrespect from the others.
  6. Ask your resident AI to give you a low down on personality traits of Malignant Narcissism co-occurring with the Dunning Kerst effect. The OP may not be far away from the truth. In which case, we're in a WORLD of pain.
  7. Mighty oaks grow from tiny acorns. A semi-competent owner employing people who know football and its workings will almost have a clean slate to work with, especially if this goes full on scorched earth. For a person looking for a "project" its a dream, IMHO. Get it right, and the potential return on investment is huge. Or... we can sit around while the present owner plays around in his delusional reality and disappear to L2 or beyond. If I'm honest, and this may not be a popular opinion, but I think I'm now at the point where I'd prefer oblivion to this idiot taking us ever lower. But it won't come to that. The fans resistance, the groundswell of support from other fans, national media pile on, EFL on our side (regardless of what they can / cannot do), the incoming Regulator. He must capitulate soon, it is a matter of time. He'll either sell for a vastly reduced price (funny) or have it forcibly removed for what Regulator considers fair market value (hilarious).
  8. I agree. But it is not going to happen, never in a million years. Instead of going in ever decreasing circles, it is best to accept this and move onto what 'we' can do. I say 'we' as I am not part of the argument. I haven't been away for years (Wembley exempt) and have fully bought into home boycott!
  9. Who gives a throw what he thinks? Trying to second guess our great leader is like stapling jelly fish to a wall. He might well think we're being disrespectful (good), which based on past evidence may lead to another 10,000 word thought piece. It isn't about what he thinks, it's about displaying a united front and adding to the increasing pile of evidence stacking up that he is not fit and proper person to hold the position and to hopefully assist the Regulator with whatever powers they end up with. Which, increasingly, looks like the only option of separating him from his feactured reality.
  10. I honestly thought after the fractured pre-season, the absolute cluster**** going on with the owner, not knowing if they're going to get paid, the decimation of the squad, most of the senior pro's leaving, we'd be getting mullered. If anything it seems to have galvanised them. Second half we were great. Yes it was "only" Wrexham (how arrogant?), but from a first half where we were open but not outplayed the tactical tweak and getting Bannan into that quasi RWB / midfield position where he ran the game in his slippers in the second half was really positive. Shame we had to go two down to start playing, but refreshing to see that fight from last season is still there. Two years ago, 2-0 at halftime was a nailed on defeat and had been for years. Now, not so much. Such a shame McNeill didn't take that last gasp chance, who I thought was also excellent.
  11. Was it? I don't know. I'm not the best at reading these infernal posts alluding to something without saying something . One thing's for damn sure, that post will wind the fans up something rotten.
  12. This is where I'm at as well. Given that he has instructed a broker to find a buyer, there is at least an intent to sell. Given everything we know have seen over the last decade, Chansirinomics (the strategy of extracting absolute minimum value from an asset in an attempt to save face and Be Respect whilst blaming everyone and everything else) is well in play. Whilst trying to remain optimistic, I did start thinking a few weeks ago it would be absolutely hilarious if he dug in and as a result of his own actions, ended up with the square root of FA. My concern this morning, if we take the DR tweet at face value and not a negotiating 'tactic' to get the fans really moving at Wrexham, is @Lee Strafford warnings of a Fakeover.
  13. This. I nearly renewed with my family, but in the end we did not. If we had renewed I can guarantee 100% that we would have gone, as the family elders would have played the "we've paid for it, we're going" card. And that is alright, as is any decision taken by any individual based on their own circumstance. FWIW, whether or not people think it effective or not, whether it even gets into, never mind past, the pre-frontal cortex of our present owner, as a cohort we can do nothing or we can do something. Increasingly, driven by @SWFC Trust(thank you) en masse we are doing something to an extent in my near 45 years watching Wednesday I have never, ever seen. It is getting attention, it is getting noticed, it will not put off any credible new owners, they will already have noticed and allowed for the potential of the fanbase. I my stupid simple world, the fans can only impact in two ways. 1. Defund the regime. Already happening. Season ticket holders who renewed and choose to attend are not impacting this. If the present owner is still here in the New Year it will be very interesting to see the uptake in early birds. 2. Ramp up the protests. Keep it front and centre and in the news. Within the laws of the land, obvs. There is nothing more we can do. Get behind The Trust. Protest in a meaningful way. Most importantly respect each others decisions and do not round on those with differing circumstances or opinions to you. That is what drives wedges in the fan base. The end game is the present owner vanquished.
  14. That wasn't the Merson goal I remembered . Still a belter though.
  15. I didn't go, but I remember the last 6 goals all being worldies. Have I misremembered? Merson definitely pinged one in the top bin from at least 25 yards.
