  1. Does anyone know if Sheffield Wednesfsy were one of the 69 UK clubs present at the recent Transfer Room event in Berlin where speed- transfer talks take place? Article in The Times, Saturday 22 March.
  2. Born in Sheffield (Jessops) and then Dad, being a teacher, moved us around the North. After getting married many moons ago, I have settled down in Buckinghamshire (just South of Aylesbury) and have noted there is an AylesburyOwl. Always been a Wednesdayite and even persuaded my Cheshire-born brother to support us.
  3. Remember when it used to be 2-3-5 i.e. 5 forwards,? Might be interesting to try that again.
  4. Thought this survey was way too personal and clearly aimed at future marketing of several consumer items. Shame as I would have been interested in giving my thoughts on SWFC matters.
  5. Pretty keen east wind at the moment, so come prepared for less than tropical temperatures. Should be warming up this afternoon though.
  6. Couldn't get an away ticket but as I live only 10 miles from Adams Park decided to get a home ticket in the Frank Adams stand. Bit embarrasing when Vaulks scored and I leapt up but got away with it! Seemed to be other Owls nearby so maybe more than 2500? After he goal we never looked in danger. Onwards!
  7. Being an Owl living near Aylesbury, the opportunity to see a game for the first time in years was too good to miss. Travel for me was a doddle as I got a bus from Aylesbury to right outside Stadium MK (and I used my bus pass). Apart from some difficulty finding the seat number, I thought the ground and facilities were pretty good. The game however was dismal - possibly due to the heat, but also the interruptions for injuries and that embarrassing smoke bomb (although the hand signals by the fans whilst the steward waited for the smoke to abate were amusing). I am happy I went as I will be better able to understand Owlstalk comments about players.
