  1. We won't only win the L1 play offs. We will be in the Championship play offs next season. Look at Sunderland, limped in to the play offs, won them and currently sit 6th. Wigan were champions . They are bottom. Rotherham have only just stayed up. Stay positive, be over positive, dream and get behind the team in our last 5 games.
  2. I'm so glad that you lot aren't the chairman... enjoy the ride
  3. I hear Pulis is wanting a job.
  4. All the Moore out brigade. Which manager would want to come if we sacked a man on only 3 defeats this season, unbeaten in 11 and averaging 2 points a game. The Moore out brigade are clueless!!
  5. Will we see more additional time added in league games after this world cup? I've always said that nowhere near enough time is played for the amount of time the ball is dead. The ball is in play less the 60 mins on average in league games.
  6. Comparing Moore to Guardiola
  7. BTW the ones in the Moore Barmy Army, I think we are turning them... Their new quotes are that he's achieved nowt yet, BUT there are signs that he will. A positive I think. They have stopped grieving.
  8. Isn't 4th a high league finish?
  9. When we went up in 79/80, we failed to score in 6 home games before Christmas, losing four of those games. When we went up the last time, we were 5 points behind the pigs, who had two games in hand. It's early and Moore is doing better than any manager at this level at this stage of the season. These are all facts, chill the feck out. We will win the league.
  10. I'll be honest with you, throughput history I have been more scared of Salop than Liverpool, Arsenal and the Manchester clubs. I remember standing on an open Kop in torrential rain and enduring the worst 0-0 draw I have ever seen. The memories of Shrewsbury encounters have marked me for life.
  11. It's not about hardly playing them... We have won 3 of 27. Jack Charlton's, Carlos's and Wilkinson's sides have struggled to beat them. There is a curse, I tell thee.
  12. 20 odd years ago? Don't you mean through the entire clubs history?
  13. I remember Simon Mills missing a last minute equaliser
  14. We've had good Div Two sides that have failed to beat them. They stopped us winning the Div Two title, under Wilkinson. They beat us with two games to go and Chelsea leapfrogged us, and went on to win the title. Sorry, I should have said don't be surprised. I know that most lose their cool when we drop any points.
  15. The real bogey side. The last time we beat them was 1987 in the League Cup, when I believe we were 2 divisions apart. We only scraped a 2-1 win that day. Only beat them twice in the league, with the last time in 82 and the only other time in 63. A record of played 23, won 3, drawn 13, lost 7. Don't be disappointed by a 0-0 score.
  16. Sorry if I have missed a thread about the pair. I searched and could not find one. Are they both injured? If so, how long are they out?
  17. Where does it say I was debating with you, specifically? I was debating with the poster who suggested I was protein deficient. You just pointed out some inaccuracies, that I take on board.
  18. And the meat industry doesn't do this?
  19. I knew one day, that one of my threads would turn in to a diet debate
  20. Many modern day sports people are turning to a vegan diet, because they are realising the benefits. However, I don't do it for health reasons. I do it because I am not selfish. The concern that vegetarians, especially vegans and vegan athletes, may not consume an adequate amount and quality of protein is unsubstantiated. Vegetarian diets that include a variety of plant products provide the same protein quality as diets that include meat. Protein consumed from a variety of plant foods supplies an adequate quantity of essential amino acids when caloric intake is met. The protein from a vegan diet is also purer. Animals tend to pick up or are injected by chemicals. Fish carry lots of nasty substances in their flesh.
  21. Sorry to bust your myth on protein, but Chicken 31g is the most protein you get from any dead creature, per 100g compared to... Kidney beans 58% Lentils 34% Lima beans 24% Navy beans 37% Soybeans 35% Split peas 29% Artichokes 28% Broccoli 33% Brussels sprouts 31% Cauliflower 32% Green peas 27% Kale 26% Lettuce 36% Mushrooms 56% Spinach 50% Watercress 84% Zucchini 30% The protein is also purer than the second hand protein from dead creatures. You don't eat many meat eating creatures, do you? There is plenty of protein in a healthy diet.
  22. The grass isn't always greener.
  23. ... do fans only want to pick out the negatives? * Team selection. I admit, I was baffled by the omission of Byers, but the rest deserved dropping/resting. * Played poorly. We didn't credit them with a comfortable win when we weren't at our best. THE SIGN OF A GOOD TEAM. * Paterson and Iorfa Two of the targets of the negativity. Both were steady in a team performance that wasn't at it's best. The fans are just waiting for Moore to fail and even when he doesn't, they aren't happy. The team selection was brave yesterday, but it worked. So, stop the whinging UTO
