  1. We had those players last season and it was pretty much the same game, apart from a couple of goals.
  2. Bloke sat behind me thinks he's a flat track bully, to use a cricket term. I do think he lacks a right foot and the physical stature sometimes. Peck looked huge, next to Bazza today. Also, people forget how old he is now! He'll still do a job for us in league 1 next season.
  3. I was glad to come out with 0-3. We are absolutely awful at this level currently.
  4. It's disappointing as we should be competing with them, but we can't compete with anyone currently. I wouldn't be surprised if Preston get 3 or 4 next week, especially with a long midweek away game in-between.
  5. Iorfa came in with a bit of fanfare from Bruce. He's a good recovery tackle player, due to his pace. But, he's a 20 game a season guy and has a mistake in him.
  6. Ugbo isn't a player to create for himself. He linked up well with Poveda on loan, but now there's no supply line, he's struggling. Ugbo is in contract until 2028, so we need to get a tune out of him, in league 1. Nobody is taking him on his current wages.
  7. I'm always amazed that people would rather be connected to rusting metal and concrete, than actually trying to progress with better facilities. We'll need a new ground eventually, in one shape or form.
  8. Our last derby win was 2012 and of course Wilder has never lost one. It's crazy that we have fans aged around 20, who only have a vague memory of our last derby win. If they remember at all. We go into this one as heavy underdogs, of course. We've won 1 game all season. 2 at home in the calendar year, 2025. Compare the squad depths and it's almost David v Goliath. But, there just might be a Chris O'Grady. He was hardly prolific going into that 2012 Sheffield derby. There were rumours of a disagreement between Megson and Mandaric, following the defeat at Chesterfield. In short, derby games are different and create unlikely heroes. Let's hope we have one on Sunday.....
  9. He was 32 when he joined, so probably a little late. He played every league game in 1998/99, mind you.
  10. Jonk had some decent games in 1998/99, mostly away. Blackburn and West Ham away, I remember him running the show.
  11. I know he's retired now, but would have been a decent free agent signing.
  12. Have you ever heard "I'm off to Sheffield for a weekend away" Surely not ....
  13. A lot of boundaries have changed in the past 50 years, you are right. I still think of the Peak District as Derbyshire. Yorkshire is big enough as it is.
  14. The peak district was in Derbyshire when I was a kid.
  15. Statue of Whigfield and Gina G outside the south stand?
