  1. So boycott idea shelved - instead turn up and protest ?
  2. I support the ban on all attendance - will weaken cash flow certainly - but I think one route to him as yet not investigated is TUF and his wider family. Thai Union have allowed John West (£125m t/o in Uk) to trade at a temporary loss in 23/24. (Last published a/c) to secure its market share in vulnerable market. How could we leverage and associate DC with the famous John West tagline - John West rejects all but the best etc - bringing the TUF brand into focus with a very negative sentiment about its owners - that will encourage the wider Chasiri clan to manage DC into finding a better a solution / get rid of SWFC - only a thought - - I think the pressure on him alone he could sustain but big brother pressure to “get your football club out of my space” could be valuable ?
  3. I tend to agree with this - the notion that by not attending the financial shortfall caused by the drop off in PoTG and ancillary sales (ST have already been spent ) will cause administration or increase chansiri’s fear of administration thereby encouraging him to sell is questionable. We still don’t really know if chansiri is skint or he simply does not want to spend - if it’s the latter it’s a long road. As a fans action - going to no games at all is the best way to increase publicity but not of securing a sale. A sale will come about when someone offers what he wants - I think he has enough gall, ego and wealth to avoid a distress sale.
  4. I do like the sentiment of not attending any games as it will create conversation and observation from others but let us not kid ourselves, DC is a very wealthy man - he is not selling because he doesn’t have to not because there are no buyers (guess he has not sold any stake / shares in TUF etc - so he remains very asset wealthy if not cash rich). - as a consequence I don’t think he has run out of money - he has just decided not to spend any more £ on SWFC - so in a stand off to see who goes bust first would be very very long duel with limited success - key is to find ways of identifying reasons why he is ineligible to own / run an EFL asset . The Reading storybook is the key.
  5. I believe that the health and safety compliance associated with running Hillsborough is the best angle of attack for those of us wanting to achieve some form of “regime change”. Due to the horrors of what’s gone before at S6 such improper or negligent behaviour garners both national and international interest. This is the area where both politicians and local government will and can act to bring about circumstances where the club actions result in the EFL & regulator facing the issue that SWFC ownership are unfit and are bringing the game into disrepute. H&S remains a key business compliance requirement where directors can be prosecuted and subsequently imprisoned for inappropriate or negligent behaviour. SWFC playing demise affects supporters only and has little grounds for supporting any claim for illegible ownership.
  6. We can all see it happening he’s getting rid but not replacing but the question is why? Answer 1. : Is he clearing the decks and removing operating costs for 25/26 in order to reduce the age and costs of the squad and allow any purchaser clear ground to determine how they want to both finance and man the football team - if so then very likely that Barry Bannan will soon be following so bad news and maybe more to come but maybe a route to a better outcome ? …… let’s hope so
  7. Wonder if this deal goes ahead it is a way of scrubbing the Hull debt ….. with hindsight the unexpected lack of Röhl compo ( we all thought he was going to go somewhere ) has led to the current fire sale. if deals could be sought with other creditors then embargoes could be released - would be great if there were funds to pay transfers !!!
  8. Top order bat & occasional off spin … pads a bit big for modern day but willing to give it a go
  9. Been thinking this too as a Chansiri last stand -club operations could be put into admin and someone buys for £1 leaving him with the “ransom strip” of you have team but nowhere to play - you want to play - my rent is xxx and if you don’t like - you can buy ground from from me for more than I can sell for development - if not I sell & you buy ground elsewhere etc - he is not in a bad bargaining position . But it still comes down to him selling for a total of £ 30-50m - offers he has already rejected
  10. At June 2025 market values DC’s 5% share in TUF could be realised at c. £45m. TUF valued at 1.21billion USD. Hence his losses at SWFC @ c. £200m means he’s a long way short and I guess he has spend some of the £45m already - mmm looks bust …..
  11. Is it as simple as concluding that DC has only one option - he can’t repay funds to others £100m + ? as sale won’t generate enough so he needs & will carry on - how we survive until season start depends upon how much he reduces the £5m clause on DR’s move - which has to take place - we have non other significant assets that can generate cash as quick as the DR compensation - guess we need £3-5m to tie us over and the value he reduces it will determine now many other asset sales take place - Gassama / Musaba / Charles etc
  12. I think there’s a fourth - he carries on as is. The short term cash will be found but likely that sporting penalties may follow. If he was looking to sell and cut his losses then the value bid of 2 or 2.5 times revenue (£50 -75 m) should have cut it - but it doesn’t I dont believe he can repay his pride / his family / others backers - if through any sale he crystallises his debts and needs to justify his actions to himself or repay others - if someone offers to cover his losses c£150m then he will sell but no one is that daft. So I believe his real summer intentions was to take compensation from the very much anticipated departure of DR to cover the expected and recurring cash flow issue. So I expect him to facilitate DR leaving but good chance he will have to take less compo with the the shortfall being made up by player trading - 1 key asset (one of wingers) would need to leave for a fee of £1-2m. The rest of the playing staff would be supplemented from the free transfer market. DC has actually said that coaching and players if right can get you promoted regardless of spend - he cites Reading as a point for reference and could also point to SWFC (4th lowest player budget ending mid table) - so he pushes on with a slightly revised strategy until he gets to the point when the likelihood / vain hope of premier league beckons and he can actually sell for £125m plus. Up to then if he continues to service the annual operating shortfall of £6-7m through a combination of appointing a young & relatively inexpensive coach with an increased interest / strategic dependence upon player trader - the combination of further reductions in operating costs through younger players and the arrival of more regular lower value (with high sell on clauses) transfer fees which may reduce the annual shortfall to may be less than £3-5m - so his ability to cover future cash shortfalls improves considerably. Once in a while a gem may sell for £5m - who knows .. I think he’s here to as long as he can finance it on a day to day basis until a golden goose appears or his backers or his pride allows him to wipe out his assembled debt.
  13. his performances over a full season gave us enough material to suggest he would play at the top level - not unlike Ross Barclay who shone very brightly for us over a much shorter period
  14. Reading FC are progressing with their transition from one owner to another - not really because of fan protest or changing / convincing.the owners to change their mind but because they have found ways to discredit the owners credentials so that he fails the “reasonable person” test therefore enabling the EFL to step in and request a sale. This route looks a fair one to follow as it focuses on the eligibility and not the suitability of any owner. Maybe mileage on same
