DecOwl04 replied to @owlstalk's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
it would look good on a fireplace -
Just seen this on twitter, that Will Vaulks chant to Gold by Spandau Ballet is absolutely class.

bit of a different one this but i’ve got this written down to Fixing A Hole by the Beatles (the exact part is the last 30 seconds of the song) Georgie Byers stop’s balls from getting in and he’ll send your midfield wandering For some bovril For some bovril

Homosexuality is a sexual orientation? I don’t mind making a comment because it can make for a good discussion I just think making a conversation about why they don’t come out shouldn’t be a talking point if they want to then they can if not then they don’t end of day though it shouldn’t define a conversation and it shouldn’t define a person
-
if they bleed blood and breathe air then sexual orientation shouldn’t matter its good that being gay isn’t shunned upon like it used to be and its good that people can talk about it but theres not much equality in making it the talking point of conversations

since coming on at Bolton away, he’s been rock solid, one of best players in squad wouldn’t be surprised if Cardiff recalled him, the potential he has is massive

Would you Sacrifice Fizz for Mcguiness??
DecOwl04 replied to Kevowls1's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
100% not for the youth but the team still has a good depth to rotate it every now and then when players have progressively better individual performances Bazza runs his legs off and he does it unnecessarily every now and then but the passes and chances he can make at times are quality he’s got a good football brain and theres definitely certain aspects of his game that younger players could learn from its just down to how the game is being played and if the tactics are working for or against a player -

fair points that who knows with the coaching stuff though all behind the scenes stuff that so its hard to talk about it without it being speculations if theres one thing that boils my **** though is the fact that we don’t send many players out on loan that often Jaden’s a good example of this because the lad’s got some ability as a left wing back but he never gets game time other than the cup games like you mentioned with development they don’t need playing once every blue moon and then sat on bench for the rest of their time with us if they’re not getting 1st team experience then in my opinion they need sending out on a loan in hopes of them gaining that experience if they come back and it still doesn’t work with them then in theory we could sell them and we get a bit more than what they were worth before we sent them out on a loan -

quite debatable this in regards to game time, your right in that aspect, but in my personal opinion, if you’re on loan from a team in the scottish prem for a team at the bottom of division 3, realistically you shouldn’t need much qualities to become a regular in the first place and on paper, there won’t be many quality players at the bottom side of division 3 for him to learn from whereas a side like us will have the competition for the starting 11 spots because we’ve got the goal of promotion, therefore we have the quality and squad depth to match that goal everyone has to start somewhere and i think in fizz’s case at the moment, if he skip’s out on the development and lessons to be had at wednesday, he will set himself back and he won’t get much further, long term wise, and no one else would unless they’re gifted in their footballing abilities or if they manage to be coached by an up and coming manager -
Man of the Match & Player Ratings vs Shrewsbury (H)

easily McGuinness by far been quality since his debut for us at Bolton the best signing of the summer our best defender at the moment and one of our best players at the moment he’s got some serious potential especially for his age my personal favourite of the season so far -
Iorfa + Cross from the Right = Free Header in the Box
DecOwl04 replied to Nero's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
For me personally, Dom is a RB and only a RB, he’s got the pace and strength to run up and down wing, but he’s not as defensively aware as, for example, McGuinness or Heneghan to be a CB and never will be, but at the same time I will admit that he’s let himself go since the injuries he’s had Think the best match I’ve watched with Dom in the starting line-up so far this season, was Bolton and in my opinion he looked close to his old self in that match at certain periods Overall I have a soft spot for Dom because of the player he was but if he doesn’t pick himself back up by the end of the season (lets be real it would be stupid to sell him in January when he’s one more option in the defence) then I can see him on his way out -
The Players (performance as a group)
DecOwl04 replied to Kopparberg's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
i personally think the lads aren’t organised enough bar bannan theres no one whos commanding the backline or keeps it together when we start to panic i think its also part of the reason why we’re struggling to keep up with plymouth and ipswich at the moment because they’ve looked organised in a majority of their games so far from what i’ve seen- 1 reply

Which new SWFC players are we yet to see the best of?
DecOwl04 replied to @owlstalk's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
in my opinion stockdale and ihiekwe are starting to sharpen up a bit more smith can be given time due to his fitness vaulks has been lacklustre so far with bakinson showing a little bit of promise mcguiness and famewo have impressed me but injuries have gotten to them early heneghan impressed me in pre season but hasn’t compared to that since then james has disappointed but is starting to look sharper wilks has shown a bit of talent but can’t comment on him yet and same goes for mighten but mighten needs to find some consistency his pacing is too quick for his own good at the moment -
personally i’d be careful with what you say about barnsley fans once got started on by a barnsley fan after a match thought it would be easy but the arm growing out of his stomach sucker punched me

DecOwl04 replied to Lord Snooty's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
palmer for me some very important defensive scenarios today and he held up solidly for all of the ones he was involved in honourable mention to byers as well changed the game up when he came on held up the midfield a bit more better for the rest of the game -
I don’t think stadium MK is a bad stadium by any means for watching a match, plenty of space to walk to and from seats, getting through the turnstiles is a piece of cake and the seats (although not sat on) had some nice cushioning. I think the style is soulless in some areas, but to give it credit where it’s due, it’s an appealing stadium to look at from the outside and in, and the food places around the ground are quite convenient for those who want to spend the money on those sorts of food places. However, that about wraps it up for me personally. I thought the queue’s were horrendous for the bars, we definitely brought more with us than what they brung (expected that but it does take a little bit away from the experience when we can fill their ground better than they can), no Beres in site (Lucky I got one before setting off to MK), furthermore, no somewhat affordable food places nearby, that ******* walk-out song (minor critique but it grinds my gears) and 2 ******* cubicles. Someones definitely had a **** in the urinals at one point because that is a ******* joke, if your a nervous ****** then you may as well wear a nappy (don’t forget to bring some swimming goggles as well as the floors are flooded with ****) Overall, MK left me with a mixed opinion, great facilities for the stands but beyond that, the rest was subpar for what’s supposed to be a modern stadium. Accessibility wise, I can only comment on the car park and I thought it was good at first, but to only have 1 main exit (although I pretty much got out in 5mins due to leaving a couple mins early) it gives me flashbacks of a very busy Meadowhall and if you’ve ever been in the car parks at the front entrance at a busy time, then you’ll know what I mean. Not tinpot, but not that impressive for a somewhat new stadium.
