  1. Blimey, I saw this thread and thought that I'd gone from seventy to seven in the blink of an eye.
  2. A very small part of the problem. The major cause of the problem was the selling of multi year season tickets, that I first called out in May 2018, and that has allowed Chansiri to get to where he is now. So anyone that has bought a multi year season ticket needs to think twice before ostracising those (I'm not one) that are pouring a relatively few pennies into the coffers now. My only surprise is that it took so long to get here.
  3. I think it stinks of decisiveness. Didn't one of their owners say that the key to success is to recognise failure quickly and act on it? (or something to that effect) If only Chansiri had the nous to take difficult decisions in a timely manner instead of saying that he can't sell part of the family it's just possible that we wouldn't be in the mess that we're in now.
  4. Absolutely spot on, and this is what people don't seem to understand.
  5. I said about five weeks ago that Chansiri might decide that he doesn't want to sell and people laughed I also said this week that the trust are doing themselves no favours in not attending the fan engagement meeting with Chansiri unless they can set the agenda, and people laughed again. I think that I understand exactly what is going on in Chansiri's mind and if he succeeds in managing the cash flow he'll still be here at this time next year and we'll be in League One. Now that the bill payments are up to date he has committed no offences that the EFL or a new regulator can remove him for. The ONLY way to remove him is to completely cut off the cash flow. Laugh again if you want, but it's no laughing matter!
  6. They are in no position to set the agenda or the terms. Would be much better to turn up, let him ramble on for a few hours and dig himself into a deeper hole than the one that he's already in. By avoiding the meeting they're damaging their own case as any neutral observer will see that they were invited but declined to attend.
  7. No pressure on Chansiri, He'll just say "I invited them but they declined to come" which will be the truth. Actually works in his favour if anything
  8. Hopelessly optimistic. They may as well just have said "thanks for the invite but we're not coming" as there's no way that they will be allowed to set the agenda.
  9. The ground and the satisfaction of knowing that he's won the battle against all those nasty Wednesday fans.
  10. If Chansiri continues to pay wages and bills on time what exactly do you think the regulator can do? More likely to give Chansiri a certificate of merit for a well run club than to remove him for having a rubbish team. The ONLY way Chansiri goes is if the cash runs out again!
  11. You may well find that the club appeal that refund as they have fulfilled their side of the bargain by sending the ticket that you ordered. Every chance that your refund will be reclaimed.
  12. New owners? Have I missed something whilst I've been looking the other way?
  13. I think the closure notice was put on because parts of the roof in particular had so much muck and rubbish on that the structure couldn't be properly inspected. I've heard that a fair amount of tidying up work has taken place and a proper inspection can therefore be made now. The stand was never in imminent danger of collapse but you can't give a sefety certificate for something that you can't see properly.
  14. My guess is that he already has one for more than £7k a week which is why we couldn't register ir, and now we can
  15. And that's why I don't think that he'll sell the club. This time next year he'll have a club that's much cheaper to run in league one and he'll be saying to himself "I've won again, those idiot supporters haven't a clue"
  16. The key phrase being "before the cull of players". We're in a whole different ball game now.
  17. I think that he is playing us and that he probably can make a league one side sustainable. My biggest concern, as expressed six years ago, is that he still owns the ground and therefore holds all the cards.
  18. I said this three weeks ago and people laughed at me. With reduced overheads I think it's entirely possible and what he's been working for all along. I don't think he's skint but he's just pushing deadlines as far as he can.
  19. Don't they say to "be careful what you say say to people on the way up because you'll meet them again on your way back down"? Welcome back Michail
  20. My dad always used to say "tomorrow never comes". I'm beginning to think that he was right.
  21. In my limited experience AI aint all that I when push comes to shove.
  22. But they could only enforce that by kicking the club out of the league. Is that what you want?
  23. Fair comment, you didn't. When I responded to your post it was out of sheer frustration at the number of posts I'd read wanting to to find someone third party (usually the EFL) to take the blame for where we are or to come in and rescue us from Chansiri. There is only one person that is responsible for where we are, and there is only one man that can sort the situation. As frustrating as it is, it's his business and he can do what he wants with it as long as he acts within the law and, like it or not, that's the way it should be. You can't separate football from every other business just because it's "different" (which it undoubtedly is) If he was running any other business into the ground it would affect his staff and customers in much the same way. We are in deep doo dah and there's only two ways out of it. Either Chansiri sells the club to someone with the inclination and the wealth to spend their way out of the current mess, including updating the stadium, or he cuts costs to the bone to make the business more sustainable. He now appears to be taking the latter course and the fans don't like it, but I would imagine that the authorities will be applauding it. My fear is that he has left it far too late, there will be no buyer in our present state, and we will cease to exist.
  24. You are the real victims in all of this mess. My thoughts and best wishes are with you all.
  25. We are one of seventy two clubs that enters their competition. As I said, it's their job to manage the competition and not the competitors. Their only responsibility is to ensure that the competition rules are adhered to. The competitors' responsibility is to manage themselves to operate within the rules of the competition. So the answer to your question is that it's Chansiris job to manage us, not the EFL's, and if he can't do it then they protect the competition by applying sanctions as they have done, and will continue to do. If we ultimately end up being expelled then another competitor will take or place and they will have done their job in protecting the competition. The EFL are not remotely concerned who the competitors are, just so long as they have seventy two that obey the rules.
