  1. Yeah fair point, I would love it if we got back to the prem not going to deny that. Would like to think I'd care more about the football league clubs though if we do make it back one day as we've been down here for the last 25 years and with our current situation we know how bad it can get and should never forget it especially if we do one day come into money and get back to the Premier League. Shouldn't take anything for granted ever again after what we are at the moment. Here's to having players like Des Walker play for us again one day
  2. I was looking forward to watching this hoping to hear stories about us from Des and hoping they may have brought up our current situation. Can't believe they didn't even mention us once. Don't mind Gary Neville and enjoy the Overlap but he bangs on about the integrity of football and how we should be proud of the English pyramid and yet hasn't said one word on our current situation. Does my bloody head in, football is dead and they don't give a throw about anything outside the prem. Same goes for the rest is football podcast with Lineker and co. All they felt sorry for was for Newcastle when Isak left for £130m and how poor is old Newcastle were going to cope! ******** the lot of them! Sorry for the rant but football in general and my club are doing my head in at this current time 36 now and for the last 25 years I keep telling myself we will be back one day and love Wednesday so much but getting to the point where I can't be arsed anymore because of one man!
  3. I lost my dad last year and I hate not having him here to chat to him about Wednesday. He was always the calm voice of reason when it came to the owls but I think even he would be devastated with what's happening to our club at the moment. Hopefully things will get sorted soon, keeping an eye on things down here in Cornwall and everyday that we get some good news...we definitely deserve some after what we've been through. UTO
  4. I'm all sorted now thanks to @the golden bullen WAWAW
  5. Thank you mate but I think I'm sorted
  6. Gutted it's sold out already, but if by any chance anyone has 2 adult tickets spare that would be great. Live down in Cornwall so one game which I love to get to. UTO
  7. Thank you for all of the messages again, so nice to see the picture of me and dad on the screen at Hillsborough. WAWAW
  8. Thank you, it is a horrible disease where diagnosis is normally too late. UTO
  9. Condolences to you and your family. RIP Craig WAWAW
  10. https://www.dignityfunerals.co.uk/funeral-notices/12-04-2024-simon-john-hughes/ If anyone can donate it would mean the world to us even if it was just a couple of quid. Thank you again for all of the messages and WAWAW UTO
  11. Like I said to 1967owl it would be great to be able to meet you sometime when I'm next up if you go to any games still. Thank you for your kind words
  12. That is a long time! Would be great to meet you, so can contact you on here if that's ok with you unless there is an easier way.
  13. Do you still go to many matches? Was wondering if you fancied meeting up next time I go to a game at Hillsborough. Would be great to meet any of my Dad's old friends from Sheffield I may not have met or known before.
  14. Thank you, that is so great to hear. We still attend as many matches as possible and I still will. Living in Cornwall and being low down the leagues has its benefits, we've been to places like Torquay to see Wednesday. WAWAW
  15. Thank you all for the kind words. It means so much to know that I'm not alone and that WAWAW.
  16. I wanted to do a message about my dad who died peacefully last Friday after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. My Dad, Simon Hughes, loved Sheffield Wednesday from growing up to Sheffield to then spending the last 29 years down in St Ives Cornwall and still supporting the owls exactly the same. Because of him I love Sheffield Wednesday so much and that will pass down to his grandson also. We have had so many great memories together watch the Wednesday and I'll continue to do that for him. We have lost a special owl.
  17. What a steal Di Canio was for 1.7m!
