  1. Agreed. He cut a very frustrated figure today. There was one point where he cut out a cross of theirs and he was walking towards the box, shaking his head. You could see how pis5ed off he was. He's so far ahead in terms of ability and the way he reads the game to his cohorts, there were two opportunities that he created today that should have ended in a goal, with better quality on the pitch, they probably would have done. Crazy to single him out though, the whole team looked completely lackluster today.
  2. I think it's very hard to criticise any of his starting 11 choices at this present time. Starting Ugbo? Perhaps because he's a bit older and more experienced that Cads or McNeill. It's not unreasonable, considering our current squad depth and it's most certainly not ideal. I don't know why the lads seemed off it today but that's up there with the worst I've seen us play all season. Is that on Pedersen? Perhaps. But I'd hardly say it's reflective on the rest of the season. The fight and commitment he's bought out of the players he has is undeniable. I'd love to see what he could do with a full transfer window, no embargoes, plenty of cash and a full pre-season.
  3. I hope it is Pederson because I think there's a quality manager there that needs a fair swing at this club. You can see what he's trying to do and we do occasionally play some very decent football. But how can we properly judge him? Since taking over, he couldn't have had a worse situation to deal with. I think the guy is tactically very astute, well respected, very likable and is doing as well as a manager could do with the squad that he has. I hope the new owners recognise that, too.
  4. Said in another thread that we were poor all over the pitch today. He was on another level today and I'm tired of defending him and waiting for him to actually perform. He looked completely lost out there, didn't know where the ball was, couldn't find his feet and is incapable of any sort of hold up play. So very poor.
  5. Even by our own standards, this is the worst we have played this season. I'm surprised, because I thought we'd be well rested and ready to go. We haven't competed anywhere on the pitch. It's a tough day to be an Owl but in the grand scheme of things, who cares? It's a shallow victory for them.
  6. Beans. Baked beans. You know, I see people at work go to the canteen, get their beans format meal and they eat those beans while sat, just casually talking to their colleagues. It was an orange affair Those beans over there Their jacket spuds Canteen duds The lips on you Rang orange Beans
  7. 2-1 win for us. Lowe - worldie, right foot, top corner from just outside the box around 20th minute. Ugbo - goal on 85th minute. I have foreseen it. Don't eat beans in front of people.
  8. I won't eat beans in public and I find eggs embarrassing.
  9. Depends on his fitness levels. If he's up to speed, I would absolutely be putting him in there.
  10. I hope we don't but I do think it could depend on which new owners we get. If the potential is there for a truly exciting rebuild where he is guaranteed first team football and a very decent contract, PL football might not be so appealing if he just sits on the bench.
  11. Lost? I'm not sure I'd go that far mate. Think he's actually done a really good job in midfield and doesn't look out of place there at all. I think any problems could be put down to fatigue. We need back up in there.
  12. Wait, has Bamford signed for the Piggies? I am so out of the loop at the moment. That's a signing that smells a bit of porky desperation.
  13. Not even at his best. Taped up, fatigued and still giving his all. He will be the one who benefits most from the two week break. I hope he comes back fresh as a daisy and ready to cause havoc.
  14. Cooper, Whatmore and Rinomhota would all be excellent, proven players in our current predicament.
  15. I tried to make this point the other day. The starting 11 we have is okay but fatigue has well and truly set in. 2-3 half decent free agents until the end of the season An addition in midfield, an addition in defence, perhaps the EFL allows us one more? Who knows. But the ability to rotate and rest tired legs would be invaluable. Plus, the hope that a few of the others come back from injury. I don't think we'll stay up but it's not beyond the realms of possibility that we have a decent run at some point in the season and put some wins together.
  16. I think we will. New owners coming in have to have a plan and the finances. I suspect that will include contingency planning for an instant promotion back up to the Championship. Also, I think that a fully backed Pedersen will have us finishing top of the league. He's already over-achieving with the current squad.
  17. I hope he isn't too downhearted and sees the potential in our club. I want him front and centre when it comes to our League One push. I just hope he sticks around for it because I think he can do great things here, with the right backing.
  18. But... That does come from fatigue. Simple mistake are made, legs are tired, easy to switch off. Honestly, that overload from training/playing too much absolutely zaps it out of you. It's horrible.
  19. Southampton were no great shakes today. I hate them as a side. They are embarrassing. If we had a little more squad depth, 4-5 players perhaps. We'd have beaten them. I can't wait for them to fail again, for us to have new owners, and to beat them.
  20. Ah well, we can expect results to like this. Especially against a team like Southampton who continually embarrass themselves in the PL, then drop down with lots of nice payments, then go back up the following year to embarrass themselves again. Not that I'm annoyed, or anything.
  21. I love him. He is absolutely bonkers and my word, does he know about football. Imagine what he could do with proper backing and a full squad. New owners need to do everything they can to back him.
  22. Yeah, would have been very happy to have Armstrong back. I know we were after him at one point but that ship has sailed. On an amusing not, I remember someone telling me that Armstrong was a better player than Bannan HA HA HAHAHAHHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHHA!
  23. 100% much more attack minded. He's got a decent turn of pace on him and likes a shot on goal. Could he be better as an out and out winger? Anyway, I think he'll continue to improve this season and hopefully, he'll tear League 1 up next season.
  24. Considering Baz is still doing this when he is 35 I think I prefer his goal. Both special, special goals, but for me, Baz driving forward and the absolute perfection of the strike, he fully intended for that to go where it did. No luck involved, pure technique.
