Think it's a show of intent isn't it. It's basically saying to Chansiri - get used to empty stadiums, because this is what's coming next year. It's that right? Sheffield 3 borrowed the money didn't they? While we're at it, isn't the stadium sale irrelevant in all this? If we hadn't sold the stadium to Sheffield 3, then the club (rather than Sheffield 3) would have borrowed the money from New Avenue Projects, against the stadium. So we'd be in the same boat wouldn't we?

Probably been said before, but anybody who is planning to renew now won't be convinced otherwise. If recent events haven't tipped them over the edge then nothing will. I'd just encourage those people to leave it as late as they possibly can, even if it means paying a bit more in the end

1) it's not just about publicity, it's mainly about not giving Chansiri money and forcing his hand 2) nice idea, but it won't happen
