  1. It's amazing how they are so reliant on Rodri for both spoiling the opposition and dictating their own game...
  2. This in a nutshell is the problem clubs outside of London and to a lesser extent Liverpool / Manchester and Birmingham have... The Yorkshire, North East, East Midlands clubs have to pay massive salaries to compete... Middlesborough had the same issue at that time when Robson was signing Juninho, Ravanelli etc
  3. In no way was this the ref's fault. They have a duty of care to the players, if one got a serious injury due to the adverse and worsening weather the club involved and media would be all over condeming the ref...
  4. Thought Bannan scored both goals against Portsmouth for a start... Lets face it the only subjects he's up on these days are any stories that involve drinking with ex pro's or horse racing..
  5. Brazil seemed to be turning the conversation away to anything but Wednesday at every opportunity
  6. All I can do is echo these points... I can see why they split the main host duties as coming in for Lineker would be big shoes to fill but Chappers being the main man and Logan / Cates sharing MOTD2 duties would have been better.. I think Onuoha is fantastic, if he'd had the career that Rio / JT / Campbell had (or played for Liverpool!!) he'd be a weekly fixture on the show....
  7. Does it have Bamboozle?
  8. I just hope if we have injured players we leave them on the bench or at home. In 2006 we took 4 strikers:- Owen, Rooney, Crouch & Walcott... Owen was rushed back from injury, never match fit and then blew up his knee. Rooney was rushed back from injury, never match fit and tore hs groin in training but still played. Walcott was still in nappies... Meanwhle Jermain Defoe was sat at home
  9. He really did miss the boat last Nov - Jan, would have recouped far more than he's ever going to get right now. Not only that, we would still have had a full quota of experienced pro's, may still even have Röhl and the coaching staff... This summer and beyond would have been much smoother...
  10. What about combined teams? Scary to think how we could have done in the 70's if the core Scotland team was supplimented with a few from the rest of the home nations... On the same lines the core England teams from 1996 onwards if the likes of Giggs, Roy Keane, Robbie Keane, Irwin, Bale, Ramsay, Robertson, Given etc could be considered..
  11. For me the following are definite starters for us at the moment... Pickford, James (obvious fitness question marks), Guehi, Konsa, Rice, Saka, Bellingham, Kane 2nd centre mid spot has to be either Anderson or Wharton Palmer is next in line to replace Bellingham in the 10, he maybe put on the left as a starter though.. rest of the places up for grabs depending on form next summer... Rice is still the key player who we don't have a replacement for, if he gets injured I'd drop Bellingham back to be the 8 and have Palmer in the 10...
  12. If Mainoo starts getting some minutes at club level it would help us massively in terms of depth also... Henderson can bring experience & keep things ticking over for the last 10 mins of games but we definitely need legs and young players comfortable on the ball behind Rice, about time we developed these players in time for a major tournament...
  13. Just how incompetent is the rest of the consortium if he's the frontman?
  14. Wednesday and United should merge. Hillsborough and Bramall Lane should be demolished with a 65000 purpose built multi-functional ultra modern stadium being built that is capable of hosting Euro's / world cup / rugby / NFL games etc. Attached to the stadium could be an indoor arena capable of hosting the Steelers as well as NHL & NBA games. The city needs to move into the 21st century... *Obviously never going to happen and even if I had Elon Musk's money I wouldn't force it through. Sheffield as a city will never be a success sporting wise unless something radical like that happens though...
