I feel physically sick. As expected we now have started the relegation form. Cant hang on to 1-0 leads, decisions not going our way, players looking tired from being over played. What makes me angry is the fact we still have the crowds turning up doing sweet FA then going to buy a drink or something to fill his pockets. I know people can’t be controlled and can do what they need. But surely there is a point where you say F this that’s it. Until this is all sorted. sick and very sorry for everyone who loves this club.

Morning everyone! Yesterday we took part in the race -and wow, what an experience. It was by far the toughest ride I’ve ever done, but also one of the most rewarding. This was my first organised event and I loved every minute. There were four of us in the team, and after 75 gruelling miles and 9 hours 4 minutes, we made it to the finish. Along the way we faced a few setbacks - my gears gave up on me and one of us picked up a flat tyre - but the biggest challenge was the hills. I thought we’d be skirting around Mam Tor… instead, we went right over the top. Brutal, but unforgettable! What really lifted us though were the acts of kindness on the route - fellow cyclists stopping to donate, and even a lady running out of her house while we were sat at red lights to press £10 into my hand. Moments like that kept us going. When I first set this up, my fundraising goal was £500. Thanks to everyone’s generosity, we’ve now passed £3,500! I’ll be keeping the link open a while longer, so if anyone would still like to donate, it would mean the world. All funds are going to the incredible Sheffield Children’s Hospital, which does so much for children and families who really need their care. Thank you again to everyone who’s supported us - you’ve made this ride even more special. https://www.justgiving.com/page/noah-and-the-noodles?utm_medium=FR&utm_source=CL -

Can’t believe it – we’ve smashed through £2,500! When I first set the target at £500, I never thought we’d get anywhere near this. Massive thanks to everyone who’s donated. The link will stay live for a bit longer if anyone else would like to donate. -

In less than a week, I’ll be cycling 75 miles around the Peak District for Sheffield Children’s Hospital. They’ve been there for my son Noah through two huge brain operations, and today marks a year since his diagnosis. I’m so close to hitting my £2,500 goal – any support, even sharing this link, would mean everything. -

Thats the plan, we have "pre ordered" a snowflake to go on the Childrens hospital itself. Providing we hit the goal. -

1. The Miracle of Hillsborough - I dont think anything will ever top this. 2. Michael Antonio goal to win the game in the last minute. Think this put us a point above the pigs in the season when it was us and them chasing promotion.... we won - the goal on 35 seconds in this youtube clip https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dvl-Yh9oUwM 3. Is it sad that one of my best memories as a kid was actually listening to Wednesday on the radio. I remember the game against Blackburn at home when waddle curled one in from 40 yards. Another not so fond memory is when it would cut to another ground to see how things were going and then it would get interrupted to tell us Wednesday has conceded. Unsurprisingly it did that quite a lot -

Big thanks to everyone who’s donated so far honestly blown away by the support! The ride has 3 route options – I’ve gone for the middle one (75 miles), but if I’ve still got the legs on the day I might push on and do the full 100. Most people will be flying round on road bikes, while I’ll be grinding it out on my hybrid. Event info here: https://www.ukcyclingevents.co.uk/products/the-peaks-tour-2025 Routes here (I’m on the green + red): https://www.ukcyclingevents.co.uk/events/routes/peaks-tour-sportive All starting in Bakewell. I'm currently riding with a couple of friends. -

Hi all, Some of you know me personally, and others I’ve only connected with through Owlstalk — either way, thanks for taking the time to read this. I’ve spoken with the Owlstalk Admin, who’s kindly given me permission to share this here in the matchday section. Over the past year, my family has faced an incredibly difficult journey. Since September 2024, our 8-year-old son, Noah, has been undergoing treatment for a brain tumour at Sheffield Children’s Hospital. We’ve spent many weeks there, and the care, compassion, and expertise we’ve received from the staff have been truly outstanding. To give something back, I’ll be taking part in the “Peak Tour” on 27th September — a 75-mile cycling challenge. Every donation, no matter how small, makes a real difference. And if donating isn’t possible, simply sharing this with others would be an enormous help. You can find our page here: http://www.justgiving.com/page/noah-and-the-noodles The page also tells more of Noah’s story. The name “Noah and the Noodles” comes from the band he formed with the hospital’s music team. As I’ve written on the JustGiving page, this isn’t just for Noah — it’s for all the children and families who find themselves in hospital, often for far longer than anyone ever expects. Thanks again for your support — it really means the world. WAWAW- 29 replies

Video- COULD INGELSSON KEY FOR WEDNESDAY ?
GoodyOwl replied to punkyhorrors's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
He runs and runs and runs.... but his football ability is below where it should be. Could have been a hero for us last season if he scored the last minute equaliser against the pigs.... All in all not good enough. But good in a poor side. -
I watched the game on TV... I was surprised to see how many fans actually went.

Where is he? What’s truly motivating his actions? Are his debts really so overwhelming that he can’t sell the club—even for £30–40 million? How many people does he owe, and how much pressure is he under behind the scenes? What are those closest to him—his family, his inner circle—saying? Surely they can’t ignore the growing protests and the extensive media attention this situation is attracting. The questions keep piling up, yet answers remain elusive. Rumours and speculation are spreading, and the uncertainty around him and the club only deepens. Is he approaching a breaking point? In the coming weeks, we’re likely to see ticket sales collapse. Shirt and merchandise sales are already dwindling—and it’s only going to get worse. Dejphon, it’s time. You must sell the club.
-
TBH i did think this myself. Apart from having a reason for having to be sat down, why were they not in the protest.

follow in Readings footsteps except one person throws a tennis ball on to the pitch, the game gets stopped whilst steward#1 goes to pick it up. As soon as the ref blows to continue play, the second person throws a tennis ball on to the pitch, Rinse and repeat and see if we can get the longest football game EVER. The Americans will be impressed if we can get it longer than a super bowl game... by the end of the game we are sold.

============================================================================================================== Crystal Palace will not play in the Europa League this season after losing their appeal against UEFA's decision to drop them down to the Conference League. The ruling by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) was delivered on Monday. CAS ruled against the Premier League club in its appeal of UEFA's decision to drop them down from the Europa League - European football's second competition - to the Conference League - its third competition - for allegedly not complying with the governing body's multi-club ownership rules. Palace, who beat Liverpool to win the Community Shield on Sunday, qualified for the Europa League by winning the FA Cup in May. They lost their place because their former shareholder John Textor, who was the majority owner of French club Lyon, did not put his Palace shares in a blind trust by the 1 March deadline. Palace were placed in the Conference League by UEFA, as under its competition rules, clubs with the same owner(s) are forbidden from playing each other in the same tournament. Nottingham Forest, who reported Palace to UEFA earlier this year for not complying with the multi-club ownership rules, will take their place in the Conference League. Their owner, Evangelos Marinakis, had earlier removed himself from control of Nottingham Forest, putting his shares into a blind trust when it looked like Forest would qualify for the Champions League alongside Olympiakos, also owned by the Greek billionaire. Palace chairman Steve Parish attended a 10-hour hearing in front of three CAS judges in Lausanne on Friday. He confirmed that Palace would play in the Conference League if the decision went against them. This breaking news story is being updated and more details will be published shortly. https://news.sky.com/story/crystal-palace-lose-appeal-against-uefa-decision-to-demote-club-from-europa-league-13410021 ==============================================================================================================

I don’t think I’ve ever felt this disinterested going into a season—let alone on a match day. Pre-season has been a complete shambles, and I think it’s going to show on the pitch. I’ve been browsing the FoxesTalk forum, and Leicester fans are confident they’ll smash us today… though a few still aren’t entirely convinced. The third post where it shows who we have lost says it all https://www.foxestalk.co.uk/topic/137645-sheff-wed-10th-aug-1630-first-up/page/28/#comments

Just wondering if anyone inside the club can confirm how many shirts have sold yet?

Andy Giddings - Players possibly refusing to play.
GoodyOwl replied to SallyCinnamon's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Good on the players! They have already played their part. Despite wanting the best for the club most of them probably want out and wish their contracts would end. They could all easily go find another club. -
Obviously most players move on eventually but selling him for 2.5million is really bad business. Hes worth 7-8 million at least. Such huge potential. Same for musaba if he could sort his decision making out he’d be dangerous.

Danny Röhl is returning to SWFC
GoodyOwl replied to andypandy's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Danny staying is the best thing to happen to the Owls this summer. Seen alot of people on X calling him out and calling him this and that. If you was told that you will be looking after a team with no money, no contract renewals etc etc and then you see there is no training ground to go to, no new kit, no owls in the park, players will be sold... the list goes on. I'd be leaving as well. Hes obviously been promised a take over is coming and he will get investment! Danny, Danny Röhl!
