  1. I feel physically sick. As expected we now have started the relegation form. Cant hang on to 1-0 leads, decisions not going our way, players looking tired from being over played. What makes me angry is the fact we still have the crowds turning up doing sweet FA then going to buy a drink or something to fill his pockets. I know people can’t be controlled and can do what they need. But surely there is a point where you say F this that’s it. Until this is all sorted. sick and very sorry for everyone who loves this club.
  2. Morning everyone! Yesterday we took part in the race -and wow, what an experience. It was by far the toughest ride I’ve ever done, but also one of the most rewarding. This was my first organised event and I loved every minute. There were four of us in the team, and after 75 gruelling miles and 9 hours 4 minutes, we made it to the finish. Along the way we faced a few setbacks - my gears gave up on me and one of us picked up a flat tyre - but the biggest challenge was the hills. I thought we’d be skirting around Mam Tor… instead, we went right over the top. Brutal, but unforgettable! What really lifted us though were the acts of kindness on the route - fellow cyclists stopping to donate, and even a lady running out of her house while we were sat at red lights to press £10 into my hand. Moments like that kept us going. When I first set this up, my fundraising goal was £500. Thanks to everyone’s generosity, we’ve now passed £3,500! I’ll be keeping the link open a while longer, so if anyone would still like to donate, it would mean the world. All funds are going to the incredible Sheffield Children’s Hospital, which does so much for children and families who really need their care. Thank you again to everyone who’s supported us - you’ve made this ride even more special. https://www.justgiving.com/page/noah-and-the-noodles?utm_medium=FR&utm_source=CL
  3. Can’t believe it – we’ve smashed through £2,500! When I first set the target at £500, I never thought we’d get anywhere near this. Massive thanks to everyone who’s donated. The link will stay live for a bit longer if anyone else would like to donate.
  4. In less than a week, I’ll be cycling 75 miles around the Peak District for Sheffield Children’s Hospital. They’ve been there for my son Noah through two huge brain operations, and today marks a year since his diagnosis. I’m so close to hitting my £2,500 goal – any support, even sharing this link, would mean everything.
  5. Castleton and back home completed. Legs feel dead and im wondering how i will manage to get the last 25 miles out of them. It’s harder than i thought. No pain, no gain!
  6. Today is a bit of a tester. I'm about to set off to Castleton to get a coffee. Its a 52mile round trip. We have just reached £2000 donated. Again I cant thank everyone enough for what you have donated.
  7. Thats the plan, we have "pre ordered" a snowflake to go on the Childrens hospital itself. Providing we hit the goal.
  8. Thank you to everyone who has donated. We’re close to £2000 already, which I’m so grateful for. Your kindness and support mean so much. All of you thank you!
  9. For wednesday history yes its up there as one of the best. But i was 4 so for me i dont really remember it. I've watched it many times though.
  10. 1. The Miracle of Hillsborough - I dont think anything will ever top this. 2. Michael Antonio goal to win the game in the last minute. Think this put us a point above the pigs in the season when it was us and them chasing promotion.... we won - the goal on 35 seconds in this youtube clip https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dvl-Yh9oUwM 3. Is it sad that one of my best memories as a kid was actually listening to Wednesday on the radio. I remember the game against Blackburn at home when waddle curled one in from 40 yards. Another not so fond memory is when it would cut to another ground to see how things were going and then it would get interrupted to tell us Wednesday has conceded. Unsurprisingly it did that quite a lot
  11. Big thanks to everyone who’s donated so far honestly blown away by the support! The ride has 3 route options – I’ve gone for the middle one (75 miles), but if I’ve still got the legs on the day I might push on and do the full 100. Most people will be flying round on road bikes, while I’ll be grinding it out on my hybrid. Event info here: https://www.ukcyclingevents.co.uk/products/the-peaks-tour-2025 Routes here (I’m on the green + red): https://www.ukcyclingevents.co.uk/events/routes/peaks-tour-sportive All starting in Bakewell. I'm currently riding with a couple of friends.
  12. Hi all, Some of you know me personally, and others I’ve only connected with through Owlstalk — either way, thanks for taking the time to read this. I’ve spoken with the Owlstalk Admin, who’s kindly given me permission to share this here in the matchday section. Over the past year, my family has faced an incredibly difficult journey. Since September 2024, our 8-year-old son, Noah, has been undergoing treatment for a brain tumour at Sheffield Children’s Hospital. We’ve spent many weeks there, and the care, compassion, and expertise we’ve received from the staff have been truly outstanding. To give something back, I’ll be taking part in the “Peak Tour” on 27th September — a 75-mile cycling challenge. Every donation, no matter how small, makes a real difference. And if donating isn’t possible, simply sharing this with others would be an enormous help. You can find our page here: http://www.justgiving.com/page/noah-and-the-noodles The page also tells more of Noah’s story. The name “Noah and the Noodles” comes from the band he formed with the hospital’s music team. As I’ve written on the JustGiving page, this isn’t just for Noah — it’s for all the children and families who find themselves in hospital, often for far longer than anyone ever expects. Thanks again for your support — it really means the world. WAWAW
  13. Sorry had to post this just for you lot that cant say his name right https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EZtBWkXbEX0
  14. He runs and runs and runs.... but his football ability is below where it should be. Could have been a hero for us last season if he scored the last minute equaliser against the pigs.... All in all not good enough. But good in a poor side.
  15. I watched the game on TV... I was surprised to see how many fans actually went.
