Something similar back in the day was when Harry Rednapp signed Robbie Keane (I think) and he asked for a bonus per goal and Harry said “What do you think we're paying you £50,000 a week for — to miss them?"

I would have him at the club in a coaching capacity, DOF etc. for life if I were the new owners. He could probably be earning double what he is getting with us, for much less hassle. Mans a true legend.
