Owls return to Premier League predicted by AI
Buck Rogers replied to Brad_owl's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
We've become all that our rivals wanted us to become through decades of awful ownership - believing we are now minnows unworthy or unable to eat at the top table. It'll take just one good owner to light the after burners here and get us back up and challenging. Palace and Bournemouth are currently up there for god's sake. If we get our house in order, let's get up there, smash the house up, win an FA Cup final against Arsenal, add to our four league titles and power on from there. As someone from a movie once said 'Don't think you are... know you are.' -
If we do, the grunters would use it against us forever. If we have to take a tonking from them, then we'll just have to suck it up and own it cos you can't take pride in beating an unarmed opponent. Any walk-off should be against any other club. We stand up, stay on the pitch and fight the fookers tooth and nail.

As obtuse as it sounds, we need more games like this. The last remaining fans who turn up on auto pilot will finally stop going when these scorelines are regular; especially when played in the dark cold nights and the initial dead cat bounce we got off the initial few games in mild weather and reasonable kick off times has worn off. Bring on the beatings if it chokes the cashflow tighter and faster. Starve the parasite of it's food source.

We may be on our arse but at least we're not Blades
Buck Rogers replied to Pablo Bonvin's topic in General Football Chat
Correct. Yes it is. Gotta go up this season or they get trapped in the amber with the rest of us. Or even worse for them, their owners turn out to be as bad as DC and have gambled everything on what looked like a dead cert last year and are now burdened with a very hungry money pit. -
Players told they won't be paid on time AGAIN
Buck Rogers replied to @owlstalk's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Top Tips: SWFC players, if you keep getting paid a few weeks later than the pesky 'official' pay day, just mark the date two weeks later in your calendar as pay day and hey presto, you'll never get paid late again. Anna Countant, S6. -

And that's just for a L1 play-off final. I want those who've never seen us in the Prem to see just what this club and it's fans are capable of when we're established and competing at the top again.

Beyond a joke this now
Buck Rogers replied to O'Neill Donaldson's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
It's a sunk cost fallacy for season ticket holders. The money has been spent whether you go or not. Analogy Time but it's the same as buying some food from the supermarket, cook it, hate it, know it's going to make you sick but you keep going anyway because it cost you money. It doesn't matter. You're not getting the ST money back either way, that's gone into DC's pockets (or more likely those who have him dancing on their strings) so why torture yourself by continuing to go. -
How many games is it going to take….
Buck Rogers replied to Flat Owl's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Yup. They'll get double digits. Absolutely no honour in beating an unarmed opponent but he's as dishonourable a person as you could find. Mind, depends how many times he'll have been sacked and reinstated until then. We might catch him between shifts. -

Fans leaving at half time (0-3)
Buck Rogers replied to TouchIsGolden's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Paying to watch Wednesday this season is the equivalent of paying to watch soft pron. People who don't like pron don't like soft pron. People who do like pron don't like soft pron. So why bother? You're not going to enjoy it either way. -

Hilarious. He can fail a third time in a row. -
In other (non-SWFC) news have a watch of this..

Frightening if you compare the tale of 2 gamblers
Buck Rogers replied to steelowl's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
I seriously think Att was lapping up the social media love-in at the time and convinced his dad to buy Rhodes just to be popular. Wouldn't be a bonkers thing at all in context of all the other lunacy DC's been responsible for. -
The promotion game in '91 sticks in my mind, obviously. Was a beautiful evening and remember being slightly nervous about Wayne Allison playing. David Hirst eased the nerves and started the party to put us 3-1 up late on. Incredible atmosphere both in the ground and outside after the match.

To try and get as many points as possible on the table beforehand. -
Still warm (ish) weather, not dark and a bit of a spark after midweek. Once the constant defeats roll in week after week, the idiots will finally understand that we're not going to win a game all season bar a fluke and as the days draw cold and dark, you'll be able to hear a pin drop.

Lolzzzzzzz They're so going to get Wilder back in aren't they? -
Agree that a pie should be pastry all round, something that you can pick up and eat but so many are all pastry and little filling. A simple thing but so easy to cheap out on which is why I do prefer the pastry-lid stew option when available but only when sitting down to eat, obviously.

Danny's too cultured for them. To succeed at the pink pig pen you need to reflect the fanbase and be a bitter, frustrated, angry thug. I really do think they'll get Cwissy back in around September/October. Or Joey Barton. -

Piece of ******** to get to Brum as well. 1hr direct train. Forever destined to be the second club in the city even when we're at our lowest ebb.
