  1. How about fans refuse to attend first?
  2. The post you are replying to literally just explained what the point is?
  3. That’ll show him.
  4. If you buy goods or services from any business you are providing financial support to the owner of that business. You, and the rest of clueless people like you, are now part of the problem.
  5. It’s impossible for the fans to unite when people have different drivers. Some feel that getting shut of Chansiri is the most important thing, for others going to the game is crucial and some have miserably boring lives so Saturday is all they have. I genuinely believe most want us to be successful but winning isn't that important to a lot of fans. I mean, we’ve had loads of threads on here where people say they don’t ever want us to get promoted because kick off times will interfere with their Saturday routine.
  6. Couldn’t agree more. The important line in that article for me is “if the owners are not meeting their commitments”. The IFR is not there to make us competitive or successful and they won’t be able to touch him, regardless of how bad the team is or which division we are in, if he’s paying the bills.
  7. But what about the players in question? Why should they have their careers potentially destroyed by being made to stay at this show of a club?
  8. That’s the problem. Selling the young assets (under value) to save his own skin.
  9. Not another penny (unless it interferes with my social life in which case another few quid is ok).
  10. But the club loses money every month, who makes up the shortfall if the regulator has control of the club?
  11. Not saying you are wrong mate but that sounds like a legal minefield.
  12. Sorry for being a bit thick here mate but does that mean the regulator pays bills from the day they step in and then any buyer pays the regulator back as part of the deal to buy the club?
  13. Thanks pal. I don’t see how the regulator (Government / tax payer) is going to be able to run a football club and meet all the financial obligations that go with it. Also, what if a buyer isn’t found for (say) 6 to 12 months?
  14. And we’ve just got a point from the mighty Wrexham.
  15. Cheers mate…..so not been properly thought through then.
  16. Genuine question, who pays the bills if an interim team is managing the club?
  17. The question wasn’t aimed at me because I’m boycotting but I have a theory, people simply don’t care about change. I’ve got mates that go every week home and away and would never ever consider stopping. Why? Because they don’t really care if we are successful or not. For them it’s a lads day out on the beer away from their wives and kids and they know they would come up against some resistance at home if they said ‘we are boycott the match but still going on the lash every Saturday’, football is their excuse. They believe the club will always be there in some way shape and form and they are just as happy doing their day out in Cheltenham as they would be in Chelsea.
  18. I would be interested to know what people think the regulator will actually do because I don’t believe they will come in, decide the fair market value of the club and force him to sell. I also don’t believe he would go without a fight if it was to become a regulator lead transaction that he didn’t agree with.
  19. That’s a fair comment mate. I was just pointing out that ‘rent for a few years then move’ is just a very simplistic view of a complicated situation.
  20. I get this ‘rent then move’ sentiment but it might not be that simple. What if there’s a contract between the two businesses that ties the club into a (say) 20 year lease with no break clause unless all remaining years were paid? I don’t know if something like this exists and I appreciate any buyer might not agree to it……all I’m saying is it’s another layer of complexity that could put people off.
  21. If you buy goods or services from any business you are providing financial support to the owner of that business.
  22. It still remains to be seen what the regulator can and will actually do.
  23. Just listened. Questioned just how much the regulator will actually be able to do in retaliation to forcing a price on Chansiri. Also questioned who runs the club until a buyer is found i.e. will the regulator pay the bills? Reiterated that we are one of the few clubs left with real potential and scale to grow. Said he’s recommended us to Textor and Turki Al-Sheikh. Mentioned it takes months (I think he said 4 as a minimum) to buy a club. Sorry I don’t know how to clip the video but it’s at 2 hours 7 minutes if anyone wants to listen.
