The owners, if professional and serious business people, will want a stadium that generates income more than 25 (ish) times a year. Some of our ‘little Sheffielder’ fans are going to have to get their head around that and be dragged kicking and screaming into the modern football world if (say) the Walton family were to get us.

I agree with this. Many, myself included, that were boycotting on moral grounds have or will now returned but watching a team that loses almost every week and is facing certain relegation is a hard watch. The casual fans will take more persuading and, I suspect, will wait to see how the takeover, summer and early part of next season goes.

There is enough money but is a timing issue due to the fact the proceeds from tickets and merchandise etc. paid for by card doesn’t instantly hit the clubs account.

I don’t think it will sell out. I appreciate there’s a bigger picture here but many will simply see a team that’s bottom of the league and almost certain to be relegated playing unattractive opponents on a cold night when there are other things to do with the family.

I’d just like to add a very important point here. While I understand and agree with the sentiment, no one should feel under pressure to spend money they can’t afford. Money is tight for a lot of people and we are approaching a very expensive time of year. Please just remember that not everyone has plenty of disposable income and WAWAW should also apply here.
