Don't want to bring up last season but interested in thoughts on this...
Obviously relegation was devastating for everybody. But looking back at the managers, players and whole farce of last season the whole club from top to bottom we looked doomed from the start. We all wanted rid of monk but to be honest none of his successors did any better and then everyone started blaming players, board chansiri etc.
Let's be honest being and owls fan last year was horrible!
However...
Looking back now were we just going to go down anyway and looking at the squad now going into this season compared to this time last year might going down actually be what we needed. Had we stayed up last year would we be in for another relegation scrap and continuation of doom and gloom from the last few seasons.
As it is this season looks to be starting with a lot of optimism. I like what Darren Moore has done. Squad looks younger, fresher and hopefully hungrier, I imagine the wages have come down and we've made some tidy work in the transfer market.
So my question is if you could wind the clocks back a year and give monk a full season to keep us up or even give pulis till the end of the season would you bother, would you go back and do things differently if you could, or accept the position we're in now?
