  1. Spot on. Just for everyone’s info this is what the current Safety Certificate for Hillsborough says about West Stand away capacity where away fans get whole stand. Certificate issued in August ‘25: “Away fans in Upper / Away fans in Lower Stage 1 Stage 2 Stage 3 Upper 2400 Upper 2600 Upper 2800 Lower 1800 Lower 1800 Lower 1800 Written permission of the Certifying Authority is required for this combination and progress through the stages. At the date of issue of this certificate, stage 1 is applicable for both upper and lower.”
  2. Trust and Clive Betts doing brilliant work behind the scenes here. The time and effort the Trust put into this on a voluntary basis is immense, and not always obvious to those of us looking in form the outside who often only see the tip of the iceberg. Hats (yellow and gold, of course) off to them!
  3. Up until recently fans never had an influence on the way English football was run…. The Fan-led Review of Football Governance in 2021 changed that…. It led to pioneering new legislation in The Football Governance Act…. Which for the first time gave the game an Independent Football Regulator….. The new Regulator will be up and running later this year….. So in just 4 years there’ll have been massive change to improve the governance of the game we love, accountability to fans and scrutiny of club owners…. Rather than getting hung up on sound bites and their interpretation surely worth taking a breath and simply reflecting on this hugely positive progress - none of us yet know the impact it will have, but without it we’d definitely be sunk.
  4. Not sure you’ll get to see this Andy, so if you do huge thanks for all you’ve done and contributed in your time with us. Working so hard with the players, fellow coaches and managers to help the Wednesday team keep on improving, at a time when the owner is ruining the club we love, bit by bit, must be soul destroying. So good on you for making the decision to put your family first and move on. I’m sure the majority of Wednesday supporters and the football community in general understand completely, respect your choice, and wish you well for the future. Thanks again.
  5. Wishing them all a speedy and full recovery - they’ve been brilliant for us and will be again Wishing the “owner”, who seems intent on destroying everything and everyone connected with OUR club, the enduring pain of being kicked out of football, never to return. ASAP
  6. Simon Jordan is entitled to his opinion. That’s all it is along with conjecture. It is however fact that we now have a Football Governance Act and an Independent Football Regulator. Oh, and that unfit and improper owners have demonstrably done tremendous damage to several football clubs under the regulatory system that we’ve had up to now, on the watch of the EFL, EPL and FA. No point in joining in the conjecture, or in questing the politics of Kogan’s appointment (btw it had to be ratified by the public appointments committee - a level of scrutiny beyond any individual political party). All that’s very interesting but immaterial. The only test that matters is in the actions the IFR duly takes in cases like ours, once up and running. Let’s see how it all pans out.
  7. Done EFL should produce a league table of the final results. Not holding my breath though
  8. Plus it’s a very demonstrable and timely reminder to the new Regulator, who’ll soon be up and running, that as supporters we have had enough of our club’s unfit and improper owner. With supporters and community interests a big part of Football Governance Act it’s a statement that can’t be ignored.
  9. Would hope as an absolute minimum sponsors have by now made the decision that they won’t be giving Chansiri any more money when their current arrangement is up. Ideally they sever their links with him PDQ this season. Odd that any business would want to continue to be associated with him in any way given his track record and behaviour.
  10. Loads of supportive messages from Coventry fans in the comments on the BBC Sport match report too.
  11. Huge praise for all who went on the pitch today and all who vociferously backed them by telling Chansiri to go. Alex Miller’s video shows that there was widespread support. Another step towards a better future. UTO!
  12. Just to remind everyone that The Trust has set up a hardship fund to help SWFC staff hit by their employer’s abject disregard for their wellbeing and rights https://swfctrust.co.uk/swfc-staff-hardship-fund/
  13. Love this more?
  14. 90+11! Robbed Brilliant effort Wednesday. Deserved a win.
  15. Well done Lowe, well done Wednesday. Chansiri OUT!
  16. When was the last time we had a whole team of strikers?? Seriously hope they go for it. If first step has to be not training that’s a good start. Yellow and gold warm up tops for Coventry game even better….
  17. Hoping to see a photo of players following Barney’s lead tonight, waving black and gold and telling Chansiri to do one. They have every right to. UTO!
  18. The new Football Regulator needs to deal Chansiri a knock out blow immediately he officially begins work. No pussyfooting around, just declare him unfit. The evidence is irrefutable. Fully understand why players would want to refuse to play and would back them without hesitation. And if one by one they get all get “injured” in their first challenge in their next game and are unable to play on that would be so “unfortunate”
  19. And yet there are loads of examples in UK social history where it’s only when the boundaries of the law have been broken that meaningful change for the better has resulted……just an observation
  20. It’s all about personal choices. There’s loads of information out there and has been for ages. Some choose to ignore it, some don’t believe it, some don’t trust the source. A minority may not grasp or understand. Most have made a conscious personal choice to buy that beer, to not protest etc. I handed out 1867 leaflets on Penistone Road last season. Had loads of conversations with people who chose not to take them. “Disagree”, “waste of time”, “get behind the team”, “he’s doing his best” all common comments - the information and conversations were there - individuals made their personal choice and chose not to take part in protest.
  21. Joke of a decision that pen ref - fizz off
