Mike Ashley in coming, along with....

Bit of an insensitive comment, even if tongue in cheek

Focusing on the positives The 2 standouts for me were: Amass 9 Ingelsson 7 And in terms of subs: Cooper looks a good addition defensively and hopefully will prove to be a great leader on the pitch too Cadamarteri made a refreshing difference And the one result that really, really matters - the appointment of fit and proper owners - is another day closer to being the crucial win of our season. UTO!

Ultimately the Trust’s ongoing influence on any new owners hangs on the size and demographic of its membership. As a community mutual organisation ‘by supporters, for supporters’ the need for the Trust to continue to grow its membership, and strive for it to be as diverse as possible, remains just as strong now as it did in the lead up to the unspoken one’s departure. Sunday is the ideal opportunity for all of us going the game to do our bit to help. If we each encourage the person sitting next to us to join the Trust if they’re not yet a member it’s entirely possible membership numbers could easily double (and then some) overnight. Let’s continue to rally behind the Trust’s call for ‘A Better Wednesday’. We’re not there yet and why wouldn’t we want to play our part in making it happen? UTO!

Hopefully we’ll get an owner who is in it for the long term, not someone on the make who is looking to flip us and move on. Anyone in it for the long term worth their salt will do a thorough appraisal of the club’s assets, ground and training facilities included. If and when that happens a fit and proper owner will doubtless engage with the Trust, supporters in general and other key stakeholders on future options and plans. Until then we can speculate as much as we want but nowt will happen. Let’s have the conversation when the time is right. And let’s hope that if either remodelling of Hillsborough or moving site then turns out to be the preferred option, it’s part of a major community regeneration master plan.

Great to hear from these 2 legends from my youth. The BDM was a once in a lifetime event that I feel privileged to have been part of. This said it’s TC’s wonder goal at the Lane that stands out most in my recollection of watching him in the blue and white. And the headline when we beat Wolves in the cup - “Len’s Wylde about Roger” comes immediately to mind. That and him signing my forearm on the night of our 1976 cup defeat away at Darlington of all places. Awful away trip but the arm wasn’t washed for weeks! Thanks for giving up your valuable time this evening and last night guys. Thanks too for the Trust and WTID for organising and streaming a great event this evening. How times have changed since we were last together at the Wadsley WMC - for the better of course. UTO!

Chansiri, the 25% and 15 point deduction
Hoofit replied to RUMBELOWS91's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
From ChatGPT: the owner (often a director–shareholder) has loaned money to their own company, they are treated as an unsecured creditor unless that loan was secured by a formal charge or debenture registered at Companies House. Priority order in administration (Insolvency Act 1986): 1. Fixed charge holders (banks or lenders with a legal charge) 2. Administration costs (fees, legal costs) 3. Preferential creditors (employees’ wages and pensions) 4. Prescribed part for unsecured creditors 5. Floating charge holders 6. Unsecured creditors (suppliers, HMRC, director loans) 7. Shareholders Director loans: - If unsecured: the owner is just another unsecured creditor, usually recovering little or nothing. - If secured: the owner may be a priority (secured) creditor, if a valid charge was registered at Companies House. - If the loan was secured shortly before administration, it may be challenged under sections 238–245 Insolvency Act 1986 (preferences or transactions at undervalue). Summary Table: | Scenario | Creditor Type | Priority | Likely Recovery | | Director loan, unsecured | Unsecured | Very low | Little to none | | Director loan, secured by valid charge | Secured | High (depends on asset value) | Possibly significant | | Director converts loan to security shortly before insolvency | Potentially voidable | None (if set aside) | Search on Companies House just now shows the company SWFC in administration with no charges current. So as far as loans to Club itself goes scenario 1 above would seem to be applicable -
SWFC Trust donates £20,000 to the club !
Hoofit replied to andypandy's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Hope so! And that the new owner’s business plan has genuine fan engagement at its heart. It’s a relatively quick win to achieve, with huge all round benefits. Big opportunity too for the owner to quickly get us to the point of being a UK exemplar of excellence here - and the exact opposite of 10 years of disrespect. -
Mike Ashley preparing a bid

This^^ Hopefully with their conversations with Begbies, and their fundraising commitment, the Trust are well positioned to have some real influence in the process. Their manifesto for ‘A Better Wednesday’ ought to be a key reference point in the due diligence process, setting out as it does a supporter’s perspective on what a sustainable and successful club should look like. -
Well played Wednesday, solid performance and a good result at a ground we don’t have a good record at. UTO!

SWFC Trust donates £20,000 to the club !
Hoofit replied to andypandy's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
This is what was said in the Trust’s update to their members yesterday. It reads that they are putting £20k in and asking people to add to that. Ive just chipped in - running total was £20098! The Sheffield Wednesday Supporters Trust has committed £20,000 to help support the club through administration — including a donation of 1,750 scarves and a pledge to raise more. We’re now asking fans to join us and build on that. Every penny goes directly to help Wednesday through this difficult period. Donate here: https://gofund.me/c924a8c9b A symbolic partnership. A practical lifeline. WAWAW -
How much branding / high prices would you accept?
Hoofit replied to WimJunk's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
A need for high ticket prices would surely be a red flag to any prospective new owner if it features as a crucial element of their business plan. Commercial revenue growth has to be front and centre. New owners must respect and embrace Wednesday supporters’ interests. Having a full and bouncing Hillsborough at every game must be central to their aims. After all the atmosphere and spectacle of home games is a hugely visible determinant of the club’s reputation and brand. Reasonable ticket prices are surely the way to go. Match day commercial revenue from consistently large crowds, paying attractive and affordable ticket prices will be substantial. The key is how best to achieve the desired annual spend per ‘seat’. Higher ticket prices aren’t the most advantageous proposition here. -
Good to hear from Administrators on day one. Great to have a Wednesday supporter involved. Great to hear about the response from players and coaches! Kris put a lot of emphasis on the EFL fit and proper owner test. He said the marketing process will run for 3-4 weeks. This likely means that IFR will be up and running before sale decisions are made. Be good to get confirmation they too will have input. EFL test alone is not tough enough (as we know from experience). Maybe @FH Team can follow this up for us?

Trust have confirmed they are in contact with administrators

Sorry…how could I forget to give you a mention And @Jack of Clubs of course!

EFL better kick the independent disciplinary panel that’s ruling on the pre-existing charges against Chansiri up the *rse, so that any further points deduction hits this season. Or better still bin the charges give he’s OUT
