As it seems quite clear that Chansiri has no intention of selling as demonstrated by his crazily high selling price and his refusal to follow the normal negotiations process I.e. not providing an NDA……… GENUINE QUESTION Does anyone know if the EFL. have any powers to conduct an impromptu Fit & Proper Persons review mid- ownership. If they do, what does he have to have done to bring it on? He operates so unprofessionally he just must be breaking some rule or other!
-
Oh dear, it seems as if this thread is starting to touch a nerve amongst big C’s lapdogs. This is exactly the type of reasoned, well-thought out response you would expect from him.

Chansiri had the chance to set Danny on last year but chose Cisco instead….. do you think that was the decision of a guy who makes good, well-judged decisions? Some time ago someone posted a list of events since Chansiri came mainly disastrous. Do you think the guy is capable of making sound reasoned decisions. He fluked the appointment of Danny.
-
No but I would be happy for anyone to do so using these words or similar, but sadly, although it saddens me to say it, I don’t think it would make any difference because the guy doesn’t seem to apply any recognised logic and seems to have an IQ below any measurable scale.

As a Wednesdayite for the last 60+ years who has witnessed an array of managers, some good but mainly not, it is clear to me as well as most other true Wednesdayites, that you have fluked upon by far the most promising manager this club has had in living memory. You say you are a lover of our club and yet you do not bother, unlike owners of most other clubs, to even attend matches. We are currently in the best position for many years due to Danny, to give us Wednesdayites a taste of the Premier League and to give you back some of what you really love, your money. As I see it from where we stand, you have two stark options: 1) Call an urgent meeting with Danny to agree what he would like in the window and what you can afford, then back him. Cancel your fans forum to save more damage for all concerned. The possible outcomes of this might be: a) A possible stab at the playoffs b)The return of a modicum of goodwill from real Wednesdayites who currently hate you and all you stand for c)The possibility of selling the club to somebody who understands football (preferred) or a chance to get some of your money back d) The possibility of hanging onto Danny a while longer. 2) Go ahead with your charade of a fans forum. Stage the setting and reported outcomes as usual and cause further unrest amongst the true fans and risk losing any tiny bit of remaining goodwill you have.with all but your cronies. Almost certainly the outcomes of this would be: a) Complete loss of any remaining support. b)Lose any chance of keeping Danny (A certainty) c) Lose the slim chance ( with the current players) of achieving promotion. d) See the club sink further and further to previous levels under your stewardship e) Witness a level of anger from fans you cannot even imagine f) Eventually lose the club which will surely fall into administration at the same time losing all your investment, respect and even the goodwill of your cronies. Ironically this could be the best outcome, ultimately, for us Wednesdayites as you would be ejected and real football investors could step in to run this brilliant, famous club that many people love, for a realistic price.

Question Time for the Chairman
Macallister replied to Daveyboy66's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
We know Chansiri doesn’t play fair using whatever mechanisms he can , including his Owlstalk spies to try to keep him one step in front. I think we need to outsmart him (let’s be honest that should not be difficult to achieve.) Those who are more internet inclined than me must know of ways to share possible lists privately so that he does not get prior notice. I think the vital thing is keeping the questions few in number so they have more impact, but repeat them when rebuffed. I think it would also be powerfull to have an agreed plan to get up and boycott the meeting at any stage, if it becomes clear that he is using his normal tactics to shout people down. -
Question Time for the Chairman
Macallister replied to Daveyboy66's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
It seems clear from the timing of this forum that Chansiri is going to use it to suit his own agenda. It also seems clear to me that Danny’s recent demeanour and comments and the apparent complete breakdown in communications and the reason for big C calling the forum are linked. None of this can be good news for the club or supporters or our club. As far as our next 10 years outlook is concerned, this forum could be make or break, because, if as a result, Danny goes, whether in the Summer or sooner, we are once again rudderless. We should not allow big C to wipe aside unpleasant questions. I agree with what Owlstalk has suggested that there should be a co-ordinated plan amongst those who attend to make sure the vital questions, about things like January transfers, planning, , funding ground developments should be be repeated by different attendees, so as not to let him off the hook. There have been some excellent, pertinent questions suggested on here but they count for nothing unless those attending get them asked and if he dismisses them re-asked, The suggestion of a live broadcast interview by Rob Staton I think is superb. It is clear to all sane Wednesdayites that we will never achieve anything of note whilst this clown is in charge. A plea from a Wednesdayite since 1962 to those attending please, please, please do not waste this opportunity to put him on the rack. -
Supporters engagement panel
Macallister replied to Hawkinsfootballboots's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Chansiri states that the need to generate income is greater than ever, nobody, even we Chansiri haters would disagree with that, but the big C continues to make the mistake of thinking that the only source of such income is the supporters and now Wednesdayite, disgracefully have decided to support him in this quest. We have one of the worst commercial set-ups in the EFL, It’s a disgrace. The potential at Wednesday if handled by professionals is enormous. Wednesdayite would have been better advised in so-called serving their members if they had suggested to him that he swallows his pride and brings in professional marketeers. It’s not too late if they have such a cosy relationship.A good start would be to invite back Steve Chu, if he could stomach working with big C again. The combination of more TV screening and constant Chansiri increases will ultimately erode our income to an unsustainable level. We already cannot afford any more than keeping the thing ticking over and even then we have cash flow hiccups, that no one else seems to have. For God’s sake Chansiri get some professionals in otherwise pretty soon Danny will be short pleasant, distant memory. -
Atmosphere at Hillsborough and Pre Match Music
Macallister replied to Macallister's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Yes stand corrected, I did mean the Contender, I am also a fan of Conquest of Paradise. -
There has been much talk for a long time now about the “flat” atmosphere at the matches, culminating recently in Danny making comments himself. There is no doubt that the way the game progresses will always influence the noise made by the crowd, but I think the atmosphere can be helped or hindered by the music played before the match and maybe even at halftime. The matches where we have performed really well and there is no better example than the Miracle of Hillsborough were ones in which before the match and at halftime, rousing Wednesday-specific music has helped. Also dramatic music such as that from the Challenger, which used to be played, can help lift spirits. I have never been a fan of playing music by local bands, purely because they are that, local bands. Let’s get back to haveing a bit more thought into the music played. Hi Ho Silver Lining certainly helps, and outsiders always comment on it, but only for a limited time. Let’s get the spirit back into the music and maybe that will raise the spirits of the crowd.

Will Vaulks interview as he departs Hillsborough
Macallister replied to FH Team's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Seems to me that Danny just did not fancy Vaulks as part of his new squad and certainly not for a full 3 years, so did not bust a gut to keep him. Vaulks has interpreted this as lack of ambition, which I believe is incorrect. Danny has openly stated he wants to “ get things done early” and would not, I believe have extended his contract if he didn’t feel there was some serious commitment from Mr C. We’ve all been pushing for a younger squad and I feel that is what Danny is trying to build with the few senior pros as a spine. Vaulks was a reasonable League one player, but I felt always played the “safe” ball, not Danny’s style. Good luck to him. We can and will do better. -
Chansiri - The Beginning of the End
Macallister replied to Nero's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Whilst it remains to be seen if the Regulator will actually be effective, there is no doubt that Wednesday, having been singled out for comment so far will be high on their target list. If they can and do implement the rules Chansiri fails on every point: 1. Strategic plan - we don’t have one - failed 2. Corporate Governance - none in place - failed 3. Management structure ( ref Danny’s recent comments in German press) - we don’t have one - failed 4. Fan representation - only officially recognised fan body, SWFC Trust - banned from meetings - failed. 5. Consulting fans on major changes, e.g. ground sale, change of badge - no consultation - failed He will presumably have to apply for a licence when all the above will be checked. Do we think he will put in place all that is needed to correct these deficiencies - look at our experience over the last 9 years - answer NO. They will probably give him a number of months to correct shortcomings which will receive much publicity, alerting those willing to buy for a realistic price the chance to prepare. If the licence is refused the club will yield no value for him, so he will be forced to sell before this happens. He’ s between a rock and a hard place. He will not like this one bit and I think we might soon get some bizarre uttering from him. We will see. If he remains silent then there must be something happening regarding a sale in the background already. -
In response to the OP if he is implying that Chansiri is somehow feeling pressure from the protests, although I don’t think he will be as I don’t think he gives a damn, there are a number of things Chansiri could do immediately to achieve this: 1: Announce he is willing to sell the Club and ground at a price dictated by the current market ( ref WBA) as soon as a suitable buyer can be found 2: Announce the intention to sit down with Danny to develop a modern management structure which must include either/or/ both CEO/Sporting Director 3: Confirm that whichever league we are in next season he will honour Danny’s current contract and keep him here. I share the majority view that performances on the field are in no way adversely affected by the protests, as demonstrated by results. The protests are about getting Chansiri out asap independently of what is happening at any one time on the field.

Pitch, training ground training bubble, academy, supporter facilities, I could go on.

I don’t know and we won’t find out until DC puts out the For Sale sign. What I do know for certain is that he fails miserably every single one of these tests!
-
The reality is people want an owner who: 1: Understands football 2: Understands what the club means to the fans 3: Understands the Club’s heritage 4: Is a good businessman 5: Is not incompetent 6: Who they can trust 7: Has sufficient funding and an inclination to invest in the fabric of the club. If success follows, which with Danny it would, then that would be a bonus!

Chansiri and the True Position
Macallister replied to Michaeltheowl's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
I would suggest the OP goes back to his/her investigation relating to the fish factories in which DC has no part and if any, very minor ownership. We are stuck with him because his family don’t want him anywhere near their business interests. -
You don’t expect to sell a business for what you’ve put in, you expect to sell it for what it is worth, or what someone will pay for it. Expecting to get all his money back is just another way Chansiri demonstrates that he does not understand either football or indeed basic business. These are two of the many reasons he must go.

Protest banner outside the ground
Macallister replied to TheHawk's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
I love this by the 1867 Group, I think they’ve got it just right. A steady drip drip drip of this type of thing will really p$ss off Chansiri. Doing it late at night as they did was a brilliant idea catching all his lapdogs by surprise and capturing maximum exposure. Can’t wait for the YouTube video to come out detailing his disastrous reign. I think this too will capture much attention and his ego will hate it! Well done 1867 Group and please keep it up! -
A guy on X HLTCO@HLTCO is planning to make a YouTube video of Chansiri’s reign and is asking for content. I think this is a brilliant idea which could attract plenty of negative for the egotistical Mr C and help to hasten his departure. YouTube videos spread like wildfire! I hope people help this guy.

In my humble opinion there is No Way based on the last 8 year’s experience that what is happening at the moment has been instigated solely by Chansiri. The guy is just not capable of this type of forward planning. On how many previous occasions has the manager’s contract length been disclosed like it has this time? On how many occasions has Att not shown any interest in the appointment? How can you reconcile a statement that no additional funds will be injected, only weeks ago, with the type of investment that is being carried out now and will definitely be needed in January? Since when has Chansiri kept his verbiage at a press conference to the limited words he said this time? Knowing, as we all do what a car crash of a leader he is, coupled with his reputation in football, how could you explain an up and coming coach like Danny agreeing to come, unless someone else was involved to give him guarantees? No this is not Chansiri’s doing.! Things may appear on a day to day basis, away from the training ground, to be the same as has been said, but they would wouldn’t they until something is announced. Someone needs to be in charge whilst negotiations take place and unfortunately that has to be Chansiri. If it is Chansiri on his own, God help us as it will all end in tears.
