  1. If we are given a winding up order as we all want, it will because he fails to pay HMRC and other creditors He has been failing to pay his debts since long before the boycotts. Also I'm not a product of the modern age I'm in my 70s . Seems to me it's the boycotters that lack patience, he's going under in any case. Anyway at my age there's not so many games left to look forward to. Up the Owls. A character in the book I'm reading is a Mortimer. He's a nice bloke and I'm sure you are too. We just see things differently.
  2. Well I stuck with the majority and didn't go more in solidarity than personal belief. Not so happy about it as most of you seem to be. I can see no evidence that its having any effect. I think its valid to disagree with the boycott and don't blame anyone who went. The whole situation is sh*t enough don't let it divide lifelong fans.
  3. Brilliant post. My memorabilia, Fantham at our house!
  4. Winding up petition is made by the creditors (HMRC, Other groups the club owes money to, DC himself). At that point DC is removed from the business. The creditors will want it to go into administration so they stand a chance of getting some of what they are owed. Administrators might try to run the business and pay off the debts that way, but most likely would sell the club and share the proceeds out amongst the creditors.
  5. Have to say this only confirms my view that a boycott will have zero effect on him. There is still a problem with EFL regulator / government being able to take property from someone (mad as he is) who hasn't committed an actual crime.
  6. There are no Chansiri fans. You're just demonstrating that you're not seeing things clearly. We all want him gone and for Wednesday to thrive.
  7. You talk as if it's a proven fact that a water tight boycott will make him go. I think you are wrong. But neither of us knows for sure. You think not boycotting risks losing the club altogether. I think boycotting puts the club at increased risk. Lack of funds will make Chansiri sell more assets and make the club less attractive for potential buyers. They will make lower offers and C will be less likely to sell. Defunding the club and forcing it into administration would be a very risky thing to do. The fans are what any potential buyer would be getting, the only thing that could attract a buyer as things stand. You also risk souring any enthusiasm a potential buyer might have for the club. I know you are set on a boycott because you love the club and the urge to do something is strong, but your belief that it will help is not necessarily right. I don't know but neither do you.
  8. What I mean is Bannan Palmer and others could have taken the Windass and Smith approach and resigned and gone to other clubs. We could have been left without a viable squad. Bannan had good offers from other clubs he knew could pay his wages but chose to stay because he knew if he went others would follow. I was equating that to boycotting. I don't agree with silent protests or boycotts because I think they make matters worse. Cxxx won't be influenced by silence or boycotts or noisy protests for that matter and in any case I think he is trying to get out, he just has an unrealistic view of how much he can get out with(cash). Cxxx: Hmm revenues are down better sell Charles...

  10. I understand the desire to protest, but if Bannan and Palmer and others took your approach we would already not exist. I think the players need supporting. Also the support at Leicester was a great advert to anyone thinking of buying us. I can hear them saying what a club, what supporters I can tap into that. Just one answer.

  12. What worries me is Text or buying the club using borrowed money supplied by Harris
  13. I think you have to watch in respect to Bannan and others who have stood by us.
  14. John Fantham in his England chase at our house maybe 1961(?) My parents had such great taste in decor.
