  1. "If you think Wrexham are better go and watch them instead." He said something along those lines when United got promoted to the Championship and were doing well. It was at a fan forum in reply to someone. I didn't attend, but was reading the updates on here. Also I might be wrong here, but people even got up and applauded him etc. too. That story has always stuck with me.
  2. I was ordering my cowboy outfit (Textor), now I have my trousers off... He isn't exactly Sicilian like Fertitta, but it basically fits.
  3. I thought we was playing last night. Anyway me after entering the thread: Lord Snooty:
  4. MK Ultra Wished we could be brainwashed into thinking we played/was like Man City etc. Maybe our Sports Psychologist could help, if he's helping the players play in random positions etc. I'm sure he could manage the brainwashing no problem.
  5. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pqfaP-OmsSw It wasn't done on purpose, but saw this on SSN yesterday. Germany vs Liechtenstein - Defender Jens Hofer high boot into Leon Goretzka's face.
  6. Spot the difference from Wilder, Gibson and Glen Durrant the dart player who supports Middlesbrough:
  7. https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11678/12460122/eddie-howe-agrees-deal-in-principle-to-become-newcastle-manager 2 and a half year deal.
  8. Waddle might need Ian's cone hat if his hair is still the same.
  9. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/59144370 it's not looking good in the search for a new manager. According to this Unai Emery rejects interest, Eddie Howe is next favourite, Paulo Fonseca also mentioned and Newcastle previously made approaches for Antonio Conte, Xavi and Joachim Low but all have turned them down. Eddie Howe though. I bet Wilder will be getting mentioned soon.
  10. Well we'll see who might bounce back tonight with a win.
  11. The problem is Moore fears every opposition. Judging by the table etc. Sunderland look way more decent than us. If you take those 3 recent defeats away, Sunderland have only lost one which was 1-0 against Burton at the start of the season after two 2-1 victories. Sunderland have also won 1-0 against Wimbledon, 5-0 against Cheltenham, 1-2 against Lincoln (after the Portsmouth defeat) and 0-4 against Crewe (before the 0-1 defeat to Charlton.) While we're scraping draws against Wimbledon, Cheltenham and Lincoln. Also take those 5-1 & 4-0 defeats away and Sunderland have only conceded 9 goals, only Rotherham and Wigan have the best at 11. I can see us getting a good drumming tonight, don't forget we loss 3-0 against Plymouth as well, but knowing us we will win 2-0 or get another draw. I just can't see us scoring more than 2 though and if Sunderland score we won't win as the stats back these up. UTO anyway. I'm starting to sound like Moore too with bigging up the opposition.
  12. Out of that list I would probably pick Alex Neil from my knowledge of them all. The question is with looking for a new man is will he work in our cursed circus and work in League 1. This. I would also say someone who can handle the pressure here too. Also someone who will get the players pressing in units and not at random, defending properly and not having Bannan take everything etc. I doubt we would ever get anyone who would do all these things though, we would probably end up with a worser manager and the cycle continues.
  13. Anyone remember what game it was under Jos at home when some people confronted DC after the match when he was trying to have a fag? If we play like we have been and draw again or lose I see the atmosphere being similar.
  14. I've got a bad feeling about this one. Think Sunderland will score 2 or 3.
  15. The new Melo, Lachman, Buş, Abdi, Emanuelson etc. it seems.
  16. Well according to this: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Sheffield_Wednesday_F.C._managers He's at 33.33% the exact same as Jos and Ron's second spell in change. Moore has managed 30 games, won 10, drawn 10 and lost 10.
  17. We've played 15 games in the league so far and out of the 10 where we've conceded we have only won 1 of them and that was the 1-2 win away at Wigan, thanks to the very lucky own goal scored by them at 0-0. Here are the games: Cheltenham Town 2-2 Sheffield Wednesday Sheffield Wednesday 1-1 Lincoln City Cambridge United 1-1 Sheffield Wednesday AFC Wimbledon 2-2 Sheffield Wednesday Sheffield Wednesday 1-2 Oxford United * Wigan Athletic 1-2 Sheffield Wednesday Ipswich Town 1-1 Sheffield Wednesday Sheffield Wednesday 1-1 Shrewsbury Town Plymouth Argyle 3-0 Sheffield Wednesday Morecambe 1-0 Sheffield Wednesday
  18. Or Hunt, Palmer, Dunkley, Brown.
  19. Probably knowing Moore, but really I'm expecting 3-5-2 still with Shodipo at LWB and Johnson at LCB. Even if it's 4 at the back, Johnson still being a CB worries me even more than in a 3. I would have put Paterson in instead.
