That's shocking. It's basically saying they reckon both the lifts will be broken all season without actually saying it, and to move somewhere else if you don't want to miss the games you've already paid for. The last sentence about being committed to maintaining and improving facilities made me burst out laughing. Wonder who's having to write this stuff? There's no name or signature on it. To be fair, I wouldn't want my name on that either. Embarrassing

I uploaded that to YouTube when I was about 14-years-old after the original video on Vimeo got deleted. Just seen it has 88k views now, which is decent for something that, for the most part, only our fans really care about. Slightly annoyed that it has been copyright claimed because of the music, and that there’s ads on it now. Glad I posted it though or it might have vanished completely. I’m surprised it still gets shared on here so much. I genuinely believed it would be happening at the time. Still wish it had been completed as it was very nice and had some character, even if it wasn’t perfect. I would’ve preferred DC to have done this as opposed to wasting so much money on players we didn’t really need or were always injured. But the bloke is a fool as we now know. Back then I would’ve never in my wildest dreams have thought that by 2025 our club and stadium would be in such a state, and at serious risk of closing. I often feel nostalgic for the Stuart Gray era these days, before DC priced me out of getting a season ticket every year and before seeing his name slapped all over our identity. At least back then it felt like the Wednesday I’d grown up knowing. Still annoyed he changed the iconic stencil owl that I loved to draw on everything I owned. It was so scaleable and simple yet so recognisable throughout the football word. Absolutely class for a logo. Also, if that was going to cost £22m back in 2009, how much would it be now when taking inflation and the fact Hillsborough needs extensive repairs doing? Anyone have any idea? Wish we’d done it while we had the chance as we’d be much more attractive to potential buyers with a stadium like that

I guess when you're born into that amount of wealth you don't need to waste time learning how to be good at things as you'll always be better off than 99% of the population anyway. Every bit of work he's ever done has likely been out of boredom or because he was trying to impress his family and friends. Most of us would face severe consequences in life if we never bothered to try and learn new things, or make an effort to improve the skills we rely on to earn a living and survive. He's able to just coast through life carefree if he chooses to, so it's no wonder he's always been so out of touch with our fanbase. With all the ranting he does, I can't say I envy him though. He seems like a very unhappy man despite his riches. Maybe holding onto SWFC will be the thing that ultimately destroys him, I just hope he doesn't take us down with him

There's no doubt in my mind that they'd have more business acumen than DC. I'd also hope they would at least understand the very basics of running a football club before taking over, or hire some proper advisers to guide them as they learn the ropes. I'll always be amazed by the fact that he's been here for 10 years and yet it seems like he hasn't learnt a single thing in that time. It either shows his lack of intelligence, how little he cares or both (which I suspect to be the case)

I would like to add, today is the first day I’ve posted any threads on here in over 10 years (I have another account that I can no longer access). You know the situation is dire when someone as reserved as me feels the need to protest and vent to strangers online ! I’m looking forward to hearing what you all think though, and if I’m talking rubbish then I know some of you won’t hesitate to let me know

This was meant to just be a reply to someone until I realised how much I had on my mind. I thought I’d let it all out for my own sanity and it somehow ended up reading like a motivational speech by the end, if you’ll forgive me. Also, I don’t think this topic has been talked about yet. Firstly, well done to the lads tonight. I can just imagine how electric the atmosphere would’ve been at the end there if DC wasn’t running us into the ground. The protest achieved its purpose, so well done to everyone who stayed away. I still think there’s a lot of work to do, but putting Leeds to the sword has made it a great night. I’ve noticed a lot of posts lately criticising Mandarić for selling our club to the clown. We all know DC is a narcissist (just look at how his name is plastered everywhere), but back when he first took over he was instantly treated like the second coming by the majority of us (myself included). Does anyone else think that this inflated his ego so much it turned him into an even bigger belligerent, disrespectful and feckless fool? Could one of the reasons he’s still holding onto the club, despite being skint, be that he’s chasing the high of having thousands of adoring fans chanting his name again? In his delusional little mind he still believes we can fluke it to the Promised Land, so he can become a hero again while proving us wrong and impressing Daddy. We all know this will never happen, but this is a man who still strongly believes he has never made a single mistake (it’s always the fans, the media or Leighton Palmer at fault), and that the sun shines out of his backside. It’s like a disorder that keeps the bloke stumbling along, despite getting nowhere. When (or should I say if) we get a new owner, I think we should wait and see what they do before treating them like our new lord and saviour. Actions speak louder than words, as they say. They should have to work hard to win us over before we start rolling out the blue carpet for them. Show them we still have high expectations and that a sequel to the DC era would not be tolerated. We all got giddy back then, and I know the same will happen again if a takeover is announced. I’m expecting parties in the streets to be honest. But I think we should rein it in a little, at least until we see genuine progress and witness our beloved club being run properly by grownups again. DC, it’s time to go you clueless buffoon. Enough is enough, and we as a fanbase have been making that clear for far too long already. Stop this madness while you still have the chance to walk away with a few quid. Massive respect and thanks to everyone fighting for the club. From those organising the protests, to the staff and players, and most importantly to every single fan making their voice heard. I’ve missed the most recent protests through illness, but as soon as I’m back on my feet I’ll be waging war beside you all until he’s forced out of our club in disgrace. Wednesday will never be killed, especially not by that corrupt coward, but it’s now up to all of us to make certain of that. We’re all Wednesday aren’t we? I hope our next “Owls Protest in the Park” is the biggest, flashiest and most impactful one yet. Here’s to keeping the pressure on him with precision and zero hesitation, every second and from every direction, until he finally implodes !

I'm so glad we beat them lot tonight, especially after hearing about their fans chanting and taking so much pleasure in our misfortune. It's just a shame DC stands a chance to profit from the next game, which could end up being a big away fixture. I guess that's just football though. We can only hope for some good fortune in our efforts to get rid of our resident clown

He'll be lucky to break even tonight, unless I'm forgetting about any other income streams
-
Seems like the protest went well, better than I expected anyway. Still some work to do but that looks like it was a good job tonight
-
Roughly 7,800 according to the BBC. Does anyone know how many Leeds fans were there? Should be easy to work out how many of our fans bought tickets and approximately how much income DC got from tonight's match

When I drove past the ground at 2:30pm today there was a female presenter with a Sky Sports (blue and red) microphone and a bloke with a huge telly camera pointed at her directly outside the main entrance of the south stand — just to the right of the bridge — on Parkside Road. Maybe they have something for us planned? My heart sank as I thought something big had happened since checking Owlstalk 15 minutes earlier! Wouldn't have surprised me though
