  1. Pretty sure been a heavily featured club on sky is actually detrimental in a lot of cases, the money a pittance compared with the drop off in attendance in a lot of cases. Only really beneficial if the ground is sold out most weeks or the attendance is stable but even then, not a lot
  2. But lots of owners throughout the leagues will have struggles finding the club, the sport is a financial black hole…though this is a higher profile case they can’t police every club. Cases now where clubs have had points deducted, sanctions etc for financial ‘wrong-doing’ is crazy, the amount of clubs that are running at a loss or struggling is a product of the changing game and the EFL or PL governing that change has only been detrimental to the game to be fair
  3. Why would the EFL have any jurisdiction over the ownership of a club/business? Why, if they could, would they have any interest above other clubs having/had similar issues. The EFL can’t decide who owns what, only if they are fit to tenor a club in their competition, financial difficulties/mismanagement and lack of, as with all clubs, is down to the club. The club is potless, and this could be seen as karma given they tried to cheat their way out of the division until DC’s pockets were empty. Only thing EFL can do is sanction the club if it doesn’t now play by the rules, points, exclusion, demotion etc.
  4. Wednesday won’t go bust, too big a club currently buyable at a price well below the potential value, regardless of the mess at the moment and the nutcase in charge Other clubs relish rivals hitting hard times but not to actually go under, Blunts for instance, they thrive on the two club city, as do Wednesday. Leeds had this same scenario, crazy owners that had been allowed to own a club they shouldn’t have been anywhere near because of the low buying price, lower leagues and similarly led to boycotting fans, poor attendance, awful football etc. Assuming the current short term issues get resolved, the longer term issue is the kind of buyer you get when the club is valued at £30/40/50m, chancers (we know). Glad we’re out of that hole. Like i said, regarding other clubs fans, take your medicine, we had to, that’s football…you give it when you can so take it when you must, things change quickly
  5. This thread is literally about those two clubs and their interest
  6. This fan base is notorious for been Billy big bo11ocks when things look to be going well…no surprise that arrogance has been met with ridicule an a joyous reaction now they aren’t. Sometimes you’ve to take your medicine. They did when the going got tough and everyone was gleefull at their league one minus 15. Looking at Leeds and having a laugh, guess what goes around comes around
  7. Looks like that thread took off following a Wednesday fan on their forum giving it the big un when Wednesday we’re throwing money they didn’t have at players that weren’t add good as some thought. Funny how that Leeds team that were miles away mostly went on to finish 9th in the Premier League whilst every one knows what happened to the Galacticos put together by Chansiri and Co Can see why the poster ‘Hoddock’ went on to become a legend over there. Anyone want to own up to being Hoddock…
  8. I see this got a laugh…just a reminder that mental illness is not a laughing matter
  9. Enough what is enough...the EFL aren't in charge of the clubs finances, just uphold the rules for all clubs to adhere to, which this one hasn't, repeatedly. F**king embarrassment lashing out oat them.....
  10. So what point is s third embargo, what does it cover or restrict that the other two didn’t already. Also, if payment to all 3 creditors are made what is lifted? Does the transfer window embargo get lifted when payments are made and the club can then sign players…why specify 3 windows if it’s lifted on payment? The article isn’t clear
  11. Dear Owlsman **** Off Thanks God
  12. With their organisation, people are talking about real world authority, ie business ownership in which they have no jurisdiction
  13. This…for the love of tiny baby Jesus this…
  14. He’d need to do something criminal, like other disqualified (perm or temp) owners. Simply running out of money isn’t grounds to disqualify an owner, simply grounds to sanction the club as per the rules that are breached that they’ve set out. Not sure why this is so difficult to grasp for many
  15. Have they stepped in and ‘saved’ anyone else, even if they could, which they can’t. Other clubs have also ended up with massive points deductions, deductions that have stopped promotions, subsequent relegations, dropped through the leagues and some gone out of business. Why does this club deserve unprecidented, unfair and probably illegal help from the governing body. It’s up to the owner, staff and the supporters and if that fails, which it has, it’s simply hard flipping lines. Other clubs have had to cut their cloth, dig deep, work hard…from top to bottom, it’s dog eat dog and unfortunately this club has no bite Sick of this ‘EFL killing is’ nonsense.
  16. He’s also the major creditor as far as owed debts (x in the pound) of admin The thought he won’t have some level of control, even in admin is daft…only a takeover (probably needing to include the ground) definately removes Chansiri Could even see admin, massive points deduction, and still coming out of the process with Chansiri involved. The saving grace is there very little external debt to benefit this process (hence why it’s likely he’s not gone down this road, hardly benefits)
  17. What can they do, they have no influence on who actually owns what, can just ban, fine, embargo or remove the golden share (guessing the latter can only be done off the club either go into admin or worse). We’re talking 10’s if not 100’s of millions, they can’t simply take the club off him There’s business laws that exist and supersede football…
  18. I keep seeing, ‘wealthy’, ‘important’ fans etc that will ride in and save the day. When will this happen…getting to the point of no return and there’s been no gallop of shiny armour laden horses as yet. Proper straw clutching, proper head burying. Has there been any default on the ground loan, makes you think… Chansiri could put the club into admin and as a main creditor of debt have an influence how the club comes out of admin (even agree to less debt owed (or percentage of) to a preferred bidder).
  19. Leeds are a big club in the same country, Wednesday are/were a big club in the same country…of course they’re a rival If Leeds were on their ar*e like Wednesday are now there’d be a thread on here, and not one brimming with sympathy
  20. I’m guessing there was sympathy on here when Leeds went into admin, got a second point deduction of 15 points starting at the bottom league one with -15…’looking at Leeds and having a laugh’ With football, you enjoy the good…whether that’s one game one season, whatever, poor times can be just around the corner. Similarly, you take the stick received on the chin, and give it when you can. Going to need to have some thick skins over the next few years
  21. When Ken Bates put Leeds into admin, they came out of it with Bates as the owner…
