The EFL can't just go off-piste and "govern" beyond the limitations of their scope and rules. You might think that by allowing the rules to be changed at a whim, that we/fans would gain from it. How about if the EFL decided all Thai owners are not subject to financial scrutiny or fit and proper tests? It's not in the rules, so why not? Governing isn't about making rules up on the spot based on who is annoying and then applying them with an iron fist. EFL is a rules based organisation and as such, is bound by them as are its members. Without rules, and respect for the rules, there's no game.

Cringe worthy bullshit: [Verse 1] In the Steel City where the legends rise, Underneath the skies, blue like our pride, Sheffield Wednesday, our heart and soul, With every matchday, you make us whole. From Hillsborough echoes, the roar of the crowd, We stand united, brave and loud, The badge on our chest shines bold and true, Together we fight, a bond that's new. [Chorus] Owls fly high, spread your wings wide, With every heartbeat, we take the ride, Through the trials and triumphs, we'll never divide, Sheffield Wednesday, our forever pride. [Verse 2] Through the darkest nights, and the stormy days, We carry your banner, in countless ways, Heroes and legends who've worn the blue and white, Their spirit ignites us, shines so bright. From the terraces high to the pitch below, We sing your praises, let our passion flow, With every tackle, every chance missed, We rise up together, like a mist. [Chorus] Owls fly high, spread your wings wide, With every heartbeat, we take the ride, Through the trials and triumphs, we'll never divide, Sheffield Wednesday, our forever pride. [Bridge] And when the whistle blows, it's more than a game, It’s the love in our hearts, that’s never the same, Through thick and thin, we’ll stand by your side, An army of blue, in you we confide. Courage undying, our spirit won’t fade, As long as we’re together, the memories we’ve made. [Verse 3] Like the steel of our city, unbreakable and strong, In the face of adversity, we prove them wrong, With fire in our hearts, we persevere, Sheffield Wednesday, we’ll always be near. From the highs of the wins to the lows of defeat, We’re bound by our loyalty, nothing’s too sweet. [Chorus] Owls fly high, spread your wings wide, With every heartbeat, we take the ride, Through the trials and triumphs, we'll never divide, Sheffield Wednesday, our forever pride. [Outro] So here’s to the future, a journey we’ll find, With Sheffield Wednesday, we’re a force intertwined, Together we'll fight, together we’ll soar, Forever and always, we’ll cherish you more. Owls fly high, with every cheer, Together in victory, together we’ll steer. A force intertwined? Together we'll steer? It's ******** poo and the words are either nonsense or cliché nothingness.

Trust Call For Full Boycott Against Middlesbrough

And can we also have a plaque of names at the Ground for people who don't attend too? -
Trust Call For Full Boycott Against Middlesbrough
Manwë replied to TZOwl's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Boycott definition: To abstain from or act together in abstaining from using, buying, dealing with, or participating in as an expression of protest or disfavor or as a means of coercion. Using, participating being key words there. Not just spending. This will be the easiest action of all of them, because by not being present there won't be any need to use the kiosks, or to buy from the club shop. There should be no Owls fans in that ground, and a handful of volunteers outside to educate anyone heading to the ground who may not do social media. And the Trust are only half right. This needs to happen every game. One-off protests are water off a ducks back. -
To everyone that went on the pitch

A plaque in their honour? They weren't killed. This is not Tiananman Square Part 2. FFS, when will all this emotional claptrap end. -
Poor ********. No one deserves what they are going through: a formula one race.
-
People are thick ******** who haven't the attention span or bare minimum commitment to give up a pint for a few hours. They are addicted to eating fast food whenever or wherever it is because they are fat ******** with poo lives and a pie or pint temporarily fills a void in their pointless lives, until the next food outlet comes their way. They are able to protest against and support the exact same thing at the exact same time simply because they are stupid ********. Fat ******** usually.
-
No it's not their turn. What ******** right have you got to tell others to do your bidding? They may not be happy, they may want to strike/leave/play poo but at the end of the day it's their decision as individuals or as a collective. It's not your decision.

Birmingham - All away tickets now sold out
Manwë replied to @owlstalk's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
I said income, not profit. I know the difference. We'd have to sell thousands of pints at Hillsborough to get the profit we are making on the Birmingham game. So fans should not criticise those who have a pint at Hillsborough halftime because it's nowhere near the damage being done by our away fans or season tickets putting money into Chansiri's pocket. -

And we'd pay how much of Birmingham's costs? -
Birmingham - All away tickets now sold out
Manwë replied to @owlstalk's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
If it costs so much to sell away tickets, then really there can't be any profit in selling home tickets, especially considering Wednesday have to pay for stewarding etc Could it be if we had 20000 POTGers every game, it would actually hurt t Chansiri in the pocket? -
He's still learning!

Birmingham - All away tickets now sold out
Manwë replied to @owlstalk's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Or about 800 pints. Or 8 season ticket holders. So, having pints at Hillsborough is fine. As long as we don't go over the 800 mark then it's just the same income as Birmingham away. Drink up boys. -
What do you know now that you didn't know at the last renewal?

Players told they won't be paid on time AGAIN
Manwë replied to @owlstalk's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
No one could have possibly foreseen this. -
Correct, we'll get several.
-
I suspect the early bird prices will be very enticing, because like all gamblers and front loaders, the loss of income later in the season from such a reduction is something to worry about then and not now and may not even be his problem to even bother caring about.
-
How then?
-
Win away, draw or lose at home.
-
Yep. Embargoes, wages not paid, points deductions (possible), selling or giving away our best players, not spending on new players. If you asked some of our season ticket holders, you'd be mistaken for thinking these are new issues at Wednesday that have only occurred in 2025. EVERYONE KNEW that this is normal under Chansiri and not a new thing. The reason/excuse that this is a new problem in order to justify giving Chansiri £500+ is bullshit that can be smelled a mile away. There'll be an excuse for the 2025/26 season

SWFC Trust announced protest plans for QPR home game
Manwë replied to @owlstalk's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
I saw more people having a go at Wilkinson than is under the South in that twitter/X video. -
I can tell you why they are losing momentum. Because they are not working. Does Chansiri hear or see the protests? Does his legal team say "look, the chanting is louder, you have to sell". I doubt it. At the start of the season, our boycott was widely known, widely supported and pressure was growing. Now, it just looks like we are a poorly supported club because the stands have thousands of people in there watching a team scrapping at the bottom of the table. We APPEAR to be fair weathered supporters going through a rough patch. I'm a positive person, but the protests aren't working because the "not a pound in the ground" is the wrong message. All that's done is put young people out of a job, and no doubt at our suppliers too. A boycott has to be all in. Anything else is not a boycott. It won't happen because thousands of season ticket holders think because they've paid, their attendance doesn't count for anything. Well it does. It shows a Wednesday fan sat in Chansiri's Hillsborough cheering on Chansiri's Wednesday. Multiply that by about 14000 season ticket holders and the story is, there's no boycott.

Confess your unpopular opinions regarding SWFC
Manwë replied to bebby's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Never understood the adoration of Semedo. A bog standard player worshipped by lots of sheep fans If a poo player says nice things about the club or fans, then they don't need ability or effort to win favour from the fans. -
The article is from 2016. 9 years ago. We have benefited financially from the pillaging of the seas. Now we are poo and no longer getting funding from the destruction of the seas, we must let the world know as it's so ******** unfair.

I think I'm reading this thread right; season ticket holders are not going to early bird renew but they will renew later at a more expensive price. And of those posts that say such things, plenty of the thumbs up reactions. As said; "it's not about not-renewing[...]it's about making him wait". Incredible really. Not a penny more, but several pounds more, more than we gave you the season before. I think the Trust should get on board with this. Don't buy a pie before kick off though, there's a boycott on don't you know. Or wait til half time at least, make Chansiri sweat a little.
