  1. 0/10 Very happy to have been very wrong on that one.
  2. I understand why pitch invasions are generally frowned upon these days, as there have been numerous incidents of players and officials being assaulted, but it's very hard to bridle the joy of ten's of thousands in such circumstances, especially when something like last night occurs and when the fans have had nothing to shout about for so long. Personally, if I had been there I would have stayed in my seat though, but that's because I have trouble walking at pace thesedays, never mind running. I had to make do with a little jog to the fridge for a beer.
  3. Unbelievable that. Never seen anything like it. Well done Wednesday!!!
  4. We could/should have scored a couple, and should have had a pen. But let's be honest, Posh could have comfortably banged in a couple more. If we'd come away from there 6-3 down, it would still make tonight a bridge too far.
  5. On his day, he was dazzling, but (imo) his antics at the start of the 2nd season left a bad tase. Agree with others that Hooper was more important anyway. Best CF we have had in a generation.
  6. I worry that Ferguson might be saying the same though. With our backline, you'd expect them to be keeping the ball as far forward as possible and shooting on sight.
  7. If we go all out attack, as many are suggesting, there is just as much chance that Posh will hit us on the break and score again. Has anyone considered that, and how we go about scoring more than 5?
  8. Posh will probably win, but I don't see them putting 5 past us. Another 3 or 4 maybe.
  9. A colourful analogy But it still seems like the trashy family have won a few quid and upgraded into a modest mansion, at least. The sophisticated family on the other hand, are currently slugging it out on a dodgy council estate. They had the keys to something better, but lost them on the way to the local off licence to stock up on celebratory booze.
  10. Some seriously "Fessi" tinted glasses here. He was hugely overrated in my opinion, cost us a fortune in wages and bottled it on the big occasions almost as badly as this lot. Add in the refusal to play until his wages went up too. I was glad to see the back of him myself.
  11. So one club can only overtake another when both are playing/being run well? Struggling to understand your logic on this one.
  12. Blowing automatic promotion from such a position of strength was indeed immensely embarrassing. As were the performances against Forest Green, Burton and Cheltenham. By 10pm tomorrow evening that embarrassment is most likely going to have ballooned into a full blown humiliation. The old farts amongst us have been through the ups and downs and have been put through the wringer several times, but this feels significant and like it could hold us back for many more years to come. I honestly don't see how the players, manager or owner will ever live it down, and any lingering trust that may have remained for the owner will have completely evaporated. The club is going to need a major clear out to get over this imo, and I don't think we will have the means or time to do it sufficiently for another promotion push next season.
  13. Presumably Posh are just going to put their feet up whilst this is happening?
  14. I hope they pull off a miracle, but sadly this isn't the kind of team that can do that. Can see a 2-1 win either way, or maybe a Desmond.
  15. Well done Wednesday. How anyone could post something so wretched is beyond me. An absolute scumbag who doesn't deserve to be part of this club, or any other.
  16. A lot of folk seem to be banking on us getting an early goal or 2, but not many are suggesting that Posh are likely to lash in a couple more early doors as well. Neither our defence or midfield could cope with their pace and movement on Friday and there is little to suggest that they are going to switch their game plan, having just humped us dry. In any case, can anyone see us scoring 4? They also know that just 1 goal from them (at any stage in the game) effectively snuffs out any hope as we definitely ain't scoring 5.
  17. Agreed, it's the two legs that is an issue for me, but as you say Sky love it as is, so no chance it is going to change
  18. Mate no offence, but have you noticed how this team reacts when under pressure?
  19. Posh will score first. 1-1 on the night.
  20. I am actually amazed that anyone thinks we can turn this around. Posh aren't a bad side, nothing special but ok. And ok sides don't normally give away 4 goal leads, especially those managed by a guy who has 4 promotions to his name. Us on the other hand..... 'kin christ. It's done lads. Onto next season and a total clearout please.
  21. If this was a team, with strong characters and leaders all over the pitch, who had a record of toughing out the big tests, then I would say that maybe, maybe we could pull it back if they got a couple of early goals. Unfortunately this is a team full of serial bottlers, and that starts with the manager imo. I really thought bringing in the likes of Smith, Ihiekwe, Gregory, Johnson and Flint, players who have been through the promotion mill before, would toughen us up. But all we have done is water them down into soggy lettuce, like the rest of the team.
  22. Posh will score first. Mass walkout after 30 mins. Toxic. Mark my words.
  23. Just a link to a film clip. Nothing for anyone to be concerned about and I wouldn't post it if it was.
