  1. Following the success of our Leeds United screening, we will once again be coming together on Tuesday night to watch our Carabao Cup tie against Grimsby Town away from Hillsborough, for those participating in the boycott. This is not about turning our backs on the team. This is about standing firm against Dejphon Chansiri’s failed ownership. Every ticket left unsold is another message sent loud and clear. At the Leeds screening we proved that we can boycott Hillsborough while still creating a Wednesday atmosphere. Surrounded by fellow Owls, voices raised as one. We invite you to join us again on Tuesday. Let’s stand shoulder to shoulder in solidarity, showing that our support for the players and our opposition to the owner can go hand in hand. We also recognise the lifeblood of matchdays for our city – the local pubs, clubs, and venues that rely on Wednesday fans for their business. We urge all Owls to continue supporting all local establishments, ensuring that while our absent owner loses, our community doesn’t. This is a none ticket event. #SWFC #ChansiriOut #EnoughIsEnough
  2. Yes, scarves will be available at the points with the coloured dots.
  3. Of the scarves that will be on sale around the ground tomorrow from 1pm. Minimum price £5 (cash preferred or card) - this is cost price - we want as many people to have one as possible. #BlackAndGold
  4. The Sheffield Wednesday Supporters Trust supports the protests organised by the 1867 Group for this Saturday’s game at Hillsborough. We stand alongside all fans who are calling for change and demanding better for our football club. WHAT TO DO: To make protest a long-term presence at every game, we ask fans to stand and raise a black & gold scarf or flyer on 10 minutes, vocally challenging the ownership throughout the game. WHERE TO GET A SCARF: We’ll have 1,000 black & gold scarves available priced at a £5 minimum donation - cost price. Plenty will be available at future games. Available on a first come, first served basis from 1PM at the four locations on the map Please bring cash if possible to avoid delays — but we can take card too. Of course, supporters do not need to buy a scarf from us to take part — if you already have a black and yellow scarf, bring it and raise it as part of the protest. FLYERS: Black and gold protest flyers will also be available from the same four main distribution points, as well as other surrounding areas near the ground. These flyers are designed to be held up during the 10th-minute protest too. On the reverse, they include information for fans who may not be on social media — including how to get involved, volunteer, or share ideas for future actions. This will be our final flyer-based protest. We ask all supporters not to bin the flyers — instead, keep them, bring them to future matches, or display them in your windows as a clear message that Dejphon Chansiri is not welcome in Sheffield. STICKERS: We will also be distributing a limited selection of protest stickers before the game. These are a simple way to keep the message visible beyond matchday. Supporters are encouraged to use them responsibly and creatively. BANNERS: The club has refused to permit protest banners, supplied by the Trust. We would however encourage creative ways of displaying black and gold within the stadium. #SWFC #EnoughisEnough #BlackandGold

  7. A new covenant between owners and fans | Maximising SWFC’s potential together The Trust’s Investment & Finance sub-committee, working in conjunction with the Football Supporters Association and other parties experienced in raising investment in football clubs, has been exploring models for fan investment in the Club alongside financial investors. We believe that the benefits of an engaged and supportive fanbase are clear to any new owner, through building a ‘new covenant’ with the fan base and repairing the trust between owner and fans that has been broken over the course of the last decade. Our planned structure brings together thousands of Wednesday fans, who we anticipate investing in the club for emotional and impact reasons, with those investors who are more financially motivated. Ahead of launching our investment plans to the wider fan base, we want to engage and consult with potential majority or anchor investors to shape the planned structure. The Trust would therefore like to engage with: Potential lead investors, be they individuals, funds or consortia seeking to buy Sheffield Wednesday Football Club. High net worth supporters of the Club who may be interested in investing in the Club. Please contact investors@swfctrust.co.uk with your contact details, and we will then arrange to speak with you or your representatives, subject to any Non-Disclosure Agreements that you wish to be put in place.
  8. The Trust is made up of a relatively small team of volunteers giving their time freely across a number of different sub-groups and campaigns and overseen by a Board of 11 people. Our paid membership is currently around 1,300 people with more than 2,000 associate members. Full membership costs only £10 and provides you with full voting rights and enables you to sit on the Trust Board. We are currently in the process of reviewing our membership options but we need your support. If you are not a member but would like to become one please follow this link: https://swfctrust.co.uk/join-us/#full-member If you would like to donate funds, on either a one-off or a regular basis, to allow the Trust to continue its work, please follow this link: https://donorbox.org/donate-to-the-sheffield-wednesday-supporters-trust If you would like to donate the cost of a Leeds United match ticket to our fundraiser for the Sheffield Children's Hospital please follow this link: https://gofund.me/2590b970 Thank you for all your support.

  11. Following the uplifting cup win by our young team against Bolton, the Sheffield Wednesday Supporters’ Trust asked members whether they wanted the boycott on spending money at SWFC to be extended to attending the Carabao Cup game versus Leeds United game at Hillsborough on 26th August 2025. Sheffield Wednesday Supporters’ Trust members voted overwhelmingly in favour of the Trust backing a boycott and in line with those wishes, the Trust is urging all members not to attend this match in person and instead watch it on TV. To turn this into something positive, the Trust has set up a GoFundMe for any fans who would have ordinarily attended the game to donate the ticket money to Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity instead. We recognise that extending the boycott to match tickets is a significant step. However, the situation at the club continues to deteriorate. July’s salary payments were missed, our squad has been decimated, and there is still no visible progress towards a sale of the club. Please support the Trust. You can join as a full member here for £10 or for free as an associate member here.
  12. Introduction It is a fundamental principle of good business and governance that people should be paid what they are owed on time and in full. Over recent weeks, it has become increasingly clear to the Trust that Mr Chansiri and, by extension, Sheffield Wednesday Football Club Limited (the “Club”) are either incapable of following, or are unwilling to follow, this principle. As the Club’s finances and administration continues to deteriorate under Mr Chansiri’s custodianship, the number of supporters, suppliers and staff who have yet to receive amounts owed, or who are unlikely to receive amounts owed in the near future, continues to grow. The Trust is keen to hold Mr Chansiri and the Club to account for these failings. As importantly, given the Trust’s stated aims of building connections between the Club, supporters and local businesses, the Trust wants to help those owed payment by the Club find the best possible outcome. Creditor outreach To achieve this, the Trust would like to hear from all those who are currently owed amounts by the Club, or who are expecting payment of amounts due from the Club. This includes: 2025/26 season ticket holders who have requested a refund in respect of their season ticket and had that request refused or ignored. Supporters who paid for a subscription to Club 1867 when launched in 2019 and who have yet to receive the goods promised in return for that subscription. Suppliers, contractors, service providers and other third parties who have provided goods or services to the Club and have yet to be paid in accordance with the terms of supply agreed with the Club. Members of staff of the Club who have yet to be paid wages earned or who have reason to believe their future wage payments may not be met in full. When contacting the Trust, please provide us with the following information by email to swst_creditors@outlook.com: Creditor Consent: In order to better understand what options for recovery may be available to creditors of the Club, the Trust may need to disclose the details shared by creditors (as per the table above) with relevant third parties (such as insolvency practitioners and legal experts) providing assistance to the Trust. If you consent to this, please include “I confirm that my Creditor Consent (as described in the notice published by the Sheffield Wednesday Supporters’ Trust on 8 August 2025) is given by way of this email.” If you do not want us to share your details with any third party, do not include the above wording in your email. In this circumstance, we may share the information you provide on an anonymised basis but will not share your personal information with any third party. Next Steps In view of the fluidity of the financial situation at the Club, the Trust has decided not to set any specific timeframe within which creditors should contact us. The Trust will collate the responses received to consider, in conjunction with those providing independent advice to the Trust, what avenues for recovery may be open to creditors. Following that consideration, relevant creditors will be contacted regarding any proposed plan for recovery. In the meantime, creditors or other fans who have any questions regarding the contents of this notice should contact the Trust by email at swst_creditors@outlook.com
  13. Thank you for this. We didn't include the third shirts in our initial 'call to action' since they are due for delivery in summer and it's still summer (allegedly). It goes without saying that we are watching this situation closely and your point around standard consumer protections is well-made.
  14. The Sheffield Wednesday Supporters' Trust has written to Mr. Dejphon Chansiri. The letter that he received yesterday evening is as follows: The Trust has also released guidance for fans thinking about claiming a refund of their 2025/26 season ticket. Please see below:
  15. We just wanted to thank everyone for sending in information. Thanks also for some wonderful touching emails which have reaffirmed what a wonderful fan base we have. Whilst deadline is 5pm today, the email address will remain open and will continue to be monitored, particularly given the expected North Stand announcement. We are giving some serious thought to what happens next. Several courses of action are being actively considered. Thanks again everyone. SWST
  16. Join the SWFC Supporters Trust online or in person at Wadsley Bridge WMC 30 July from 8.30pm online and 8.15 if in person SWFC Trust Q&A Youtube Link. Submit questions in advance or on night for WTID to put to Trust Board and audience using this Q&A Question Form. Any Wednesday related topic will be discussed. North Stand decay, Squad decimation, Calculated diminishing of SWFC, Season Ticket Refunds, Protest actions. Bar will be open.
  17. Thanks again to everyone that has contacted us. Several more emails have been received over the weekend. Please also let us know what your experience has been if you have ever applied for a refund in recent years gone by. It will be interesting to know if the approach taken by the club has been different this time.
  18. Thanks to everyone that has responded so far. We had a steady flow of responses on both season tickets and Club 1867 yesterday. Thanks also for the messages of support in your emails. It is welcome for a very small team trying to do this alongside jobs and family commitments. Our statement has gone out on here and on Twitter. Can we encourage you to pass the message on to friends and relatives who may not be active on either of these two platforms. Finally, can we once again stress that the purpose of this exercise is only to examine how these matters have been handled by the Club. We are not promising to handle any refund claims on behalf of fans, nor are we telling fans what to do. Many thanks. SWST
  19. Thanks to everyone that has responded so far. Just a few points to make: We won't be answering any questions though they are being noted. This is an evidence gathering exercise and the Trust will decide what to do based on the evidence we gather. Equally, we can't tell you what to do or how to do it. We are as interested to hear from those who have been refunded by the club as those who haven't. Anyone contacting the mailbox should receive an automated reply. Some messages are being treated as "Junk" so this automated message has not been sent. Thanks to the Admin team on here for pinning this thread. Keep your responses coming!
  20. CALL TO ACTION FOR 2025-26 SEASON TICKET HOLDERS AND THE BUYERS OF OTHER PRE-PURCHASED SWFC MERCHANDISE At what should be a time of excitement ahead of a new season, there are serious unanswered questions about the future of our Club with our members rightly raising concerns about refunds of season tickets purchased for the 2025-26 season, as well as concerns over the ability of the club to honour the delivery of pre-purchased SWFC memorabilia. The Supporters’ Trust has heard with great concern that some season ticket holders who have approached the Club for a refund on 2025-26 season tickets have been successful in their request, while others have been told that the Club is unable to provide a refund. For much of our fanbase a season ticket will represent one of the costliest financial commitments made in any year, making it of critical importance that the Club deals with all supporters in a fair, open and equal way. Given long-standing concerns around the transparency of governance and operations at the Club, we would be grateful if supporters who have: Requested a refund on 2025-26 season tickets and received that refund Requested a refund on 2025-26 season tickets and had that request rejected or ignored Not yet requested a refund on 2025-26 season tickets but will do so in the coming days Not received ‘Club 1867’ books that were originally marketed in 2019 to please email the Supporters’ Trust at swst_refunds@outlook.com BY 5 PM ON FRIDAY, 1 AUGUST at the latest. When emailing, it would be appreciated if you could please confirm: What contact you have made with the Club in connection with the purchase and, in the case of season tickets, when you requested a refund from the Club. What response you have received from the Club (if any) and when (please include any correspondence with the Club in your email, e.g., screenshots of emails). What action you took following that response. What action, if any, remains to be taken (either by you or the Club). Emails received will be treated in confidence by the Supporters’ Trust, who will only use the information to establish how the Club has been dealing with these matters and to examine the lawfulness of the Club’s actions.
  21. We just wanted to update people who have contributed to this thread. The Trust was able to get some very helpful legal input yesterday from a lawyer with experience with the Reading Supporters Trust. A formal communication to supporters has now been drafted and we intend to put this out in the next couple of days once the necessary Board approvals have been obtained. Thanks everyone for your patience.
  22. We'd just like to thank everyone that has contributed to this thread. There have been some great ideas put forward and these have been added to a draft "Fan guide to refunds" that we hope will be published next week subject to Board approval. What we're still missing however, and what we'd like to request, is for a legal eagle to review the document for any red flags. We do have access to lawyers already but they may not have quite the right expertise that we need.
  23. Due to recent developments at Sheffield Wednesday, it is becoming increasingly apparent there is a growing level of dissatisfaction amongst season ticket holders that purchased season tickets many months ago. Whether it's broken promises, misrepresentation, or a fundamental change in the matchday experience, the situation has left many fans questioning whether we have grounds to request a refund and we have seen multiple threads on Owlstalk on this subject. We are reaching out to see if anyone here has experience or legal expertise regarding the genuine contractual position and any potential room for manoeuvre. We have done some work already to investigate this but would like a legal pair of eyes to take a look. We would like to establish a firm view over the next few days. The season ticket terms and conditions can be found here: https://tickets.swfc.co.uk/screenloader.aspx?page=usercontent/documents/html/genre/terms.html&type=include Rest assured that any contact made with the Trust will be treated in confidence. Please PM this account which is currently being monitored on a fairly regular basis.
