  1. Do we think he'll put pressure on the manager to pick a stronger team v Grimsby as its a winnable game in the hope of a big cup draw in next round?
  2. Has there been any details of tickets yet. When available etc. Not been able to find?
  3. I'm based in grimsby mate. But am over in Sheffield on the sat b4 game and can pick up if needed.
  4. Brill. Thank mate. Any help would be much appreciated.
  5. Il take that one off you please. Still after another 2 if anybody has any available?
  6. Hi. Can anybody help a fellow owl. After 3 preston tickers. Was hoping would make general sale as went last year. Even got a hotel booked for overnight. Any help appreciated.
  7. Living in grimsby and having to sit in the grimsby end to. 3 of us. Hope we don't lose otherwise its gonna be a few grim days at work.
  8. Could any fellow owls fans help out a grimsby based owl. I travel over to home games on a regular basis and away games when a bigger allocation ie preston blackburn etc. But nowhere near enough points for a game with a small alloction like grimsby. Be lucky to get 1700 on what they normally give visitors. So if any fellow owls could help be eternally grateful. 3 tickets if possible. Thanks
  9. As a very very rare poster it really does sadden me to say but this site now has become a joke. A laughing stock almost. Talk about a deluded fan base. It's chansiri this chansiri that. He obviously had only modest wealth in football terms. And he gambled it at the very early doors signing the likes of Rhodes etc. Unfortunately it didn't happen but one thing I can guarantee is that 99% of our fan base were lording him when the likes were signed. Football so money orientated nowadays even Liverpool are struggling to keep hold of there best player. And if Leicester can pay nearly 30 million on 3 players one of whom not even started for his parent club. It seems we're always gonna struggle in this division cos of the money involved but I know that if we do sign hendrix and the like of him. Il be supporting em fully. We still have a club and that might not always have been the case not that many years ago. We need to take a chance on the signings that we have. Ie the wingers etc in the hope of unearthing a gem like Coventry did. Il never forget last season and peterboro at Hillsborough and Wembley will live with me forever. U have to have ups to have downs. And that memory was worth it if u ask me. 40 years I've supported this team and of course I want us to get back to the Premier league. But would I rather have times like the back end of last season and the joy it brought to my 2 kids. Or see us losing at man city 8 nil. I know which journey I'd rather be on. So let's stop moaning and enjoy our club for what it means to us all individually rather than being sour and bitter to the owner who's probably trying. If you had 100 quid would you put 5000 into the club. Probably not. If he ain't got the money he ain't got it. There could be alot worse out there ask Bury fans for instance.
  10. Being from grimsby. All school friends were liverpool fans back in late 80s and wanted to be different. I remember that goals on Sunday aswell waltham owl. Guess we both live grimsby area still. Still remember the song they played at end of show. It's over by Roy orbison and the fans crying. Also seeing dalian Atkinson (rip) great solo goal v villa I think but could be wrong on that. Went to my first game v sunderland in cup run year (my mum wunt let me go on my own before that) when they're keeper tony Norman dropped the ball and mark bright nodded in on 90 plus mins. The atmosphere after that was electric and I was hooked ever since
  11. First time poster so puts tin hat on. Cant say I'm for or against Darren Moore at the the moment but I do believe hes the sort of honest individual we need at the moment. If it works out or not no idea. As for him failing last season and not keeping us up. I think that's very harsh and the only person to blame is the owner. He had no intention of hiring a new manager once hed sacked pulis until after the January transfer window had shut. How many other clubs would have had that approach. None probably. That was our biggest issue last season. If we could of got someone in and maybe 3 or 4 players that we could all see we needed etc we might of had a fighting chance but we didn't and mr Moore came in unfortunately when our fate looked more or less sealed. I'm of the opinion that he deserves a fair crack. Hes signed 1 player so far and we all seem relatively happy with that one. So fingers crossed and up the owls.
