  1. First Home Win today, it is written in the tea leaves
  2. I enjoyed following the Brum thread the other evening. Supportive of the players and little bickering. Made a more pleasant experience than usual. Shame about the goal at the end, but even then it was not meltdown on here,
  3. Very thorough and well -presented questionnaire Worth spending the time to emphasise incompetence of the idiot DC
  4. Thank god that D*** C*** has gone
  5. England: Jimmy Greaves Ireland: Danny Blanchflower Scotland: John White Wales: Cliff Jones The club they played for has numerous similarities with Wednesday: 1961, a bird, cricket, Arsenal, expectations...
  6. Time for some optimism Danny Röhl is staying after his well-earned break in Germany with his family
  7. Here I am and a good day to you. This is clearly a Must Win Game for the peace of mind of many Owlstalkers
  8. As John Lennon once famously wrote and sang 'Give Pierce a Chance'
  9. You really need to catch up with Röhl's superb man management. After great & tiring games they will come off the bench. It is a squad game. Not OMG they've been dropped. At least one of above three should score today.
  10. Could it be because it is a forum about football?
  11. A lot older, definitely Alan Finney ! Brian Marwood and Trevor Francis, neither any pace, but put in very accurate centres. Colin Dobson also !
  12. Surely Ryo Hatsuse is the Japanese version of Roy Hattersley ?
  13. To suggest we must win one game out of ten gets the nod of approval
  14. For all you youngsters on here, a match I have never forgotten. We were losing 4-1 with about 20 minutes to go at Stoke on Saturday 16 November 1963. Stoke 4 (Ritchie 3, Dobing) v Wednesday 4 (Layne 2, Pearson 2) Mark 'Pancho' Pearson had come from Man Utd as replacement for Fantham, out injured for a few months.
  15. MeToo neither, well only sum times
  16. No, it is not you. This is all very tediuos after the initail interchanges, so why r u wanting to add to the boredom ?
  17. R U A FISH? If so, you will soon have the fate, of landing on a fisherman's plate !
  18. Looks like you already have drunk too much booze as this post takes the biscuit for nonsense, even in comparason to some of mine
  19. Thanks 4 your friendly advice. I must admit I often do try the same play with words to gauge their effects. Here is a children's joke that u mite appreciate: What are the hottest spots in a room? The corners The walls are at 90 degrees
  20. Thank you for your insiteful compliment Not sure how u arrived at the conclusion that my investigation into what is a grizzly-polar-bear hybrid was meant to be witty. It was a seriuos peace of scientific investigation inspired by your non-owl related username. In conclusion, I only have 2 feet wheras bares have 4, so am not 2 worried about some feet. Hope this helps
  21. Yes, that fred on the woman-beater was traumatic, given the number of posters who seemed to think it and he were ok. Incidentally is name is Nico Schulz, there is no h in is forename. Then all them bedwetting must-win-gamers. Also it is now the close season so it is fairly traumatic boredom especially given how crap Yorkshire CCC are. They manage to keep snatching defeat (or a drawer) from the jaws of victory and may well do it yet again tomoorrow at North Hamton !
  22. The fred is still funny. When the radio presenter is presented with the bare truth of Ellen Droad, she will certainly feel miffed. Do keep smiling and enjoy our Röhl.
  23. I am glad all is obvious to u. Do not remember posting anything that was particularly idiotic. Depends how u take it. Gems of wisdom more like that r the bare truth. I am always learning something new. In this case that a grizzly-polar-bear hybrid, a grizzly pizzly, is a rare occurrence and certainly is not known to frequent any species of owl, but there have been known to be mummy polar bears that mate with daddy grizzly bears.
  24. I am very sorry if u r 'not amused' as Queen Victoria once famously did NOT say. At least she had a keen sense of humour and was not a grumpy old fart like some on ear. Try not to feel miffed and keep as open a mind as possible.
