  1. First Home Win today, it is written in the tea leaves
  2. I enjoyed following the Brum thread the other evening. Supportive of the players and little bickering. Made a more pleasant experience than usual. Shame about the goal at the end, but even then it was not meltdown on here,
  3. Very thorough and well -presented questionnaire Worth spending the time to emphasise incompetence of the idiot DC
  4. Thank god that D*** C*** has gone
  5. England: Jimmy Greaves Ireland: Danny Blanchflower Scotland: John White Wales: Cliff Jones The club they played for has numerous similarities with Wednesday: 1961, a bird, cricket, Arsenal, expectations...
  6. Time for some optimism Danny Röhl is staying after his well-earned break in Germany with his family
  7. Here I am and a good day to you. This is clearly a Must Win Game for the peace of mind of many Owlstalkers
  8. As John Lennon once famously wrote and sang 'Give Pierce a Chance'
  9. You really need to catch up with Röhl's superb man management. After great & tiring games they will come off the bench. It is a squad game. Not OMG they've been dropped. At least one of above three should score today.
  10. Could it be because it is a forum about football?
  11. A lot older, definitely Alan Finney ! Brian Marwood and Trevor Francis, neither any pace, but put in very accurate centres. Colin Dobson also !
  12. Surely Ryo Hatsuse is the Japanese version of Roy Hattersley ?
  13. To suggest we must win one game out of ten gets the nod of approval
  14. For all you youngsters on here, a match I have never forgotten. We were losing 4-1 with about 20 minutes to go at Stoke on Saturday 16 November 1963. Stoke 4 (Ritchie 3, Dobing) v Wednesday 4 (Layne 2, Pearson 2) Mark 'Pancho' Pearson had come from Man Utd as replacement for Fantham, out injured for a few months.
