  1. Aaaaand we lose 0-3. Still, this day can't come soon enough...
  2. I'd support a player strike but with 24 hours notice. It wouldn't be fair on the QPR fans travelling up today.
  3. I used to live and breathe football when I was a teenager and in my twenties. I'd play all the computer games, watch MOTD day religiously and would always be checking the latest football news. Nowadays other than Wednesday and England I barely watch any matches, including highlights, and couldn't tell you how to pronounce most of the players in the Premier League. The spark, for me, is largely gone. I agree with a lot of what Bassett says. Possession and stats based football is incredibly dull to watch and VAR is an utter shambles. And yet here I am - still engaged enough to watch Wednesday each week, still looking forward to the World Cup next year. A lot though feels like habit over enjoyment though...
  4. Terrible tragic news. RIP. Wasn't there another serious head injury at a Bath City match a few years ago when a player collided with an advertising board? Seems like this needs to be reviewed.
  5. I played in goal so didn't have a choice But number 8 is the coolest shirt number...
  6. That's a fair walk! Not keen on using the Tube? Enjoy the game (if you can)!
  7. Except for Sensible World Of Soccer, circa 1996
  8. The kids won in the previous two rounds against higher league opponents than Grimsby so they earnt the right to play yesterday. But let's be honest - from a league perspective - we're just fulfilling fixtures at the moment. We're not remotely competitive.
  9. I think we're long past desperate...
  10. I was there. A sweet, dipping volley from distance. The whistle went as he struck it though so absolutely no-one thought it was a goal.
  11. The absolute first thing the new owners should do is remove all of Chansiri's legacy - get his name off the stadium and give us back the stencilled owl badge. I know our current badge is a nod to our past but it'll always be the Chansiri badge to me
  12. Lowest points total I know of is Dover Athletic of the National League who finished 2021/22 on 1 point (after a 12 point deduction). https://www.tntsports.co.uk/football/football-conference/2021-2022/standings.shtml
  13. Indeed. This is going to get ugly. It could easily be a decade before we're back on our feet.
