Matchday thread: SWFC v Southampton (A)
Lawrie’s Left Peg replied to ReginaldD's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
We are absolute gash on and off the pitch due to the long term incompetence of DC We lack quality and investment in the playing squad. We can’t use tiredness as an excuse though, it’s a lazy get out. Stoke Preston, Swansea, Coventry, Bristol City, and Charlton have all made less changes in personnel this season. Coventry , Stoke and Preston are currently top 4 -

A common misconception in business recoveries is that an administrator must always sell to the highest bidder. In reality, UK insolvency law requires something broader: to achieve the best overall result for creditors. That can mean choosing a buyer who can complete quickly, preserve jobs, or protect asset value, rather than one offering a higher but uncertain price. Administrators must act transparently, obtain independent valuations, and keep a clear record of their reasoning. They are not auctioneers chasing the biggest number; they are fiduciaries balancing value, certainty and fairness. In short, it is about the best outcome, not just the biggest offer. -

It’s absolutely believable. Look at his track record at every club he’s played for. Rinse and repeat. Terrible piece of recruitment. He didn’t sign himself. -
He’s going nowhere until his contract runs out. No one would pay him the wages we do (now we’ve started paying them again)

SWFC IN ADMINISTRATION - CONFIRMED
Lawrie’s Left Peg replied to Sambo89's topic in Sheffield Wednesday Matchday
Not sure about that. I think that DCs company which took the loan is also in administration. Therefore if Ashley had to pay, say £7.5m to buy the debt, he could have forced DC into administration but his £7.5m would now only be worth £2.6m. Doesn’t sound like an Ashley move… -

It is as clear as that. No nuances, merely excuses with a sprinkling of entitlement whereby if I go to a game it’s justified but if you go. That’s a different matter entirely.
