  1. 100% poor management from Röhl and the coaches. Completely mis-managed the situation we had approximately 4 minutes, complete shambles, school boy stuff. Need to learn from this.
  2. Coventry completly dominated and controlled that half. Poor management from Röhl, We had 4 minutes to prepare a sub for Patterson and bizarrely we decided to not make it and play with 10, they overload that side of pitch and score from it. We've consistently played out from the back and only ever put ourselves under more pressure and in dangerous situations, sometimes you have to mix it up, go direct push high and start picking up the 2nd balls which Cov have done all half.
  3. Poor management that from us, we had 4 minutes to prepare a sub for Patterson and they attack and overload down that side while we played with 10.
  4. He's there to lead the line. He's a powerful lad, big strong and quite quick but he isn't there to be the main guy. People writing his 6 goals off? What about his 6 assists also thats 12 goal contributions in 21 games not even as Ipswich's main man. For me its the perfect blend. 1 striker who's quick and strong to play off, 3 creative agile players in behind him and then 2 defensive enforces in Luongo and Morsy. Always wanted Morsy here, he has that bite about him that many players don't have, he and luongo will rat all day and allow the creative players infront of them to do their magic.
  5. I always take rumoured wages with a pinch of salt but i actually got told about Smith and Ihiekwe from a good source and it matches up with the rumours. I got told by someone well connected with Rotherham at that time that they were desperate to keep hold of Smith and offered 8k-10k in the end to try and keep him which would've made him Rotherham's highest ever paid player, not sure wether that was strictly basic or with bonuses. Footballtyper broke the news about them coming IIRC and then the MI deal went quiet. Well Ihiekwe didn't know what to do he pulled out originally of signing here and said he'd re-sign at Rotherham and play championship football, Rotherham thought they had the deal done for him to re-sign then he did a huge u-turn last minute and signed here with Smith which angered the Rotherham management.... The reason they are on decent wages is because neither commanded a fee and was in demand, it's common practice to give them slightly higher wages. Smith was linked with Middlesbrough and Bristol City that season and it was touted over 1 million for him. We got him for around 10k a week for 20 goals at League 1 without a fee on top.
  6. Smith's on more than 10k a week here. I know for fact Rotherham offered him their highest ever salary at that time which was 8-10k and he chose to come here for financial reasons and we've been promoted since. We'd get 500k max for a double figure striker, who last got us 20 in league 1, if we get relegated we're just going to strengthen a rival. Crossroads moment personally unless we plan to bring 2 strikers in I'd keep him until the summer minimum and re-asses, he is different to what we've got, doesn't suit the style of Röhl but coming off the bench he can still offer us something regardless.
  7. Course he wrote the list he's had previous experience with most- Ashley Fletcher - worked with him Valentin - Spanish and knows him personally Bambo Diaby - Spanish CB Delgado - Spanish speaking also worked with Xisco before maybe even played with him as he joined in 2016 which was Xisco's last season at Gimnastic before going into coaching M. Diaby - Played with Delgado before could've been from the list though also Now it's hard to believe he didn't sign those above players having worked with or known most personally. Our brighter players such as Bernard Musaba Gassama will have more than likely come from the list.
  8. I downloaded 01/02 last week, it's pretty straight forward, people still make databases for it and you can even download a up to date database on the website. You need to sign up here to unlock the download link which appears near the bottom of the post. https://champman0102.net/viewtopic.php?f=76&t=35 https://www.champman0102.net/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=216 full instructions page here on how to download it and extract the files etc, you'll need a tool to extract the files like winrar etc You can rip it onto a blank CD or you can virtually mount it.
  9. Smith's strengths have always been attacking early balls into the box now with some pace out wide and some support which we've been crying out for he can thrive under that. He had 30 minutes on Saturday before he was basically a lone striker again and more isolated yet people still point the finger at him. People always cry we need a 20 goal striker, we got one for free in league 1 but no not that one he wasn't good enough for people. People banded the likes of JCH name around who ironically had the most big chances missed at that level last season and would've cost a decent fee. Sometimes he can be frustrating, his link up play is hit and miss but under the new style play to his strengths and get support around him and he will get goals.
  10. Looks like he's caught the Nuhiu syndrome - Players that ain't good enough / have limited ability or niche uses but can do nowt wrong. He's a bang average player at best, he wasn't good enough the first time around in this league, he sat on the bench for most of last season till we got injuries. Smith or Gregory get fouled all game and they need to be stronger. Patterson on the other hand has been manhandled for 90 minutes and the ref gave nothin'. He's a option in many positions however he's a squad player at best, wouldn't be against bringing him on upfront because sometimes you need what he offers but If we're looking at him to be our main striker we're fuc**d he's not the answer.
  11. Meh, his CV doesn't convince me, his longest stint at a club is 2 years and he's had 10 clubs. Winning the league needs some context, he's won it with RB Salzburg who basically win that league every year without fail, hardly a huge achievement.. The development claim is a big one, how's he known for development when the most time he's spent at a club is 2 years? He's been at setups like Barcelona and RB Salzburg who are known for that, thats not his own doing. I listened to a podcast with Will Still who was his assistant at reims, says Oscar Garcia no longer talks to him because he feels he stabbed him in the back for his job when he was looking after his ill daughter, the club made the decision as OG wasn't around understandably, but the club still needed running and he holds that vs Will. We need a firefighter in and there's only 1 man for the job.
  12. Its what's needed right now for sure, back to basics no overcomplicated rubbish playing players out of position playing out from the back because its the modern thing to do, we need someone willing to go against that grain and get us some points on the board. It's a win win for Warnock, whatever happens its a fairy tale ending for him. He saves us and he'll be "loved by both sides of the city" he gets us relegated and he did what he said he would do.
  13. Football really is at a crossroad. There's far too much money in the game and people are willing to gamble with their money and our clubs to get premier league money and make some fast cash. We view it as football as fans, nowadays its viewed as product and a business, there's too much money in transfers & sponsorships etc its one big tightly knitted circle and whilever the Premier League is at the top and making billions they don't give a.... They are dicing with our futures we are just a toy to these egotistical vultures and when it starts going bad they don't want to know anymore and they want rid of their "toy". Its gone way too far, it's no longer about the fans and the local communities its about trying to make money while treating fans as customers and taking advantage of fans loyalty. Youve got people like Chansiri with zero knowledge or interest in the game buying a club, for what reason? Surely its a massive red flag. I wouldn't buy a racehorse when im not into racing and if i did surely I'd want some experience around to guide me. We're all a product of modern English football. Risking clubs futures for Premier league money. You think the Premier League care if teams go bust? It doesn't effect their business. More needs to be done to protect the future of our clubs our grounds our fans.
  14. Modern football isn't it sadly. The souls have been ripped from the clubs and the communities and are now like corperations, many looking for Premier League money and to earn some fast cash and when it doesn't go well they don't want to know anymore. Owning a English football club is some sort of trophy to these egotistical vultures. They think they can change our history wether its badges or kits we've gone from fans to customers who they milk every penny from and take advantage of the blind loyalty fans have. Look at Chansiri had zero interest or knowledge in the game and still buys a club, why would you? Fantastic effort by them, Reading have shown us how to protest!
  15. The squad tonight lacked any kind of cohesion and fight. The recruitment was really poor in the summer, the investment obviously wasn't there. The squad isn't championship standard but we're not even giving ourselves a fighting chance. Freezing out the core group from last season the likes of Vaulks Smith Iheikwe Johnson and James, limiting game time for players that are not upgrades on them. When the going gets tough i rather have your Vaulks' Smithy's and Iheikwe's in the trenches with you, along with Paterson, Palmer, Bannan and Gregory this side could be galvanised and at least give ourselves a fighting chance like Rotherham do. Tonight we lacked that, we downed tools, heads dropped and we rolled over. Winless in 9 games, 2 points picked up, something has to give and quickly.
  16. He's frozen solid pros out, players with some steel and character. Players like Vaulks, Iheikwe & Smith who run until they drop, the kind of players you'd want in the trenches with you when its not going well. Those players along with Patterson & Palmer etc ain't the most technically gifted but they're the type along with Bannan that could galvanise this squad. A squad playing with that togetherness can take you further than the one we saw tonight that basically downed tools and rolled over. Xisco still picks his friends over them though. Bambo Diaby isnt a upgrade on any CB that was here last season and still gets game time despite mistake after mistake while Iheikwe drops one vs Hull and he hasn't been seen since. Hendrick doesn't look match fit and the games have passed him by and Buckley while he looks neat and tidy is seems a luxury player at the minute, he goes missing often and again the game just passes him by, those don't offer what Vaulks does and Bakinson certainly doesn't and he's had more of a sniff. Fletcher over Smith? Oh dear oh dear.... That's how you loose players, that's when they stop believing and questioning, a core group of players limited by players no better than them and get chosen regardless.
  17. If you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen. If we are going to play that card I'll raise you Marvin Johnsons mental health how does he feel after being frozen out by Xisco? Iheikwe frozen out after 1 mistake vs Hull, Vaulks after a silly mistake vs Cardiff punished for 1 mistake while Xisco makes them time and time again its swings and roundabouts.... He's not a good manager and its fine to say that and criticise him. If he didn't make ridiculous decisions and freeze good pros out things might be different.... Also wasn't it mentioned on here last week about him laughing in the press conference after our defeat? We wonder why we can't muster up half a decent protest and why its so difficult to open peoples eyes, we must be one of the softest fanbases out there.
  18. Plan B doesn't come without action. He needs to know he's not welcome, he's starting to get that message now, if he stops paying everything and we go into admin etc he losses everything, classic tactics of a bully blackmailing. This will gain more national media attention and people will now see what's happening!
  19. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. But football fans are fickle as hell. Firstly it was Darren Moore who decided to go down the experienced route and sign older players to get us out of the league which was our ultimate aim and everyone loves him for that however now its the clubs fault when its going bad? The mistakes made was the recruitment this season, the resigning of players like Gregory was a massive indication and red flag to what we had coming, likewise the arrival of Ashely Fletcher, no money to invest and a huge struggle on. No manager is coming in to Sheffield Wednesday to develop youth at league 1 level risking their job and reputation, without spending Ipswich money, why do you think Moore jumped when he did? His stock was as high as it was going to get, if he failed to get us promoted again he'd have been sacked and looking at a job in league 1, he left on a high and bagged himself a championship job with more security. Our fans wouldn't have accepted us staying in league 1 to develop players and allow them to make mistakes while paying absoloute top whack ticket prices. Ipswich spent a hell of a lot of money on those youngsters and Sunderland didnt have a completely young squad when they got promoted, theyve ripped their team up this season. We're struggling enough to get fans on board to open their eyes to what's going on off the pitch without getting them to buy into the youth model in league 1.
  20. Poor angle, i was convinced he dove until the replay where it showed you the refs angle you can see him grab his shirt and pull him down, stonewall penalty, no complaints. Thought he actually reffed the game well and got the penalty call correct, didn't fall for the usual theatrics and allowed the game to flow even when a player stayed down injured.
  21. We started off quite bright was the better team for the first 10/15 minutes or so but that quickly diminished and since the goal weve collapsed. Buckley is a luxury player very neat and tidy but goes missing a lot. Valentin putting in a performance completely opposite to his one midweek, poor penalty to give away. Hendrick has been awful. Musaba looks our only threat, lovely run he went on, abit like corbeanu atm looks very busy without doing much. Regardless who plays upfront they are always isolated wether its Gregory or Smith. Been more impressed with the Referee, think he's reffed the first half really well, got the big penalty call right, allowed a few tackles and not blown at every single opportunity, not blown every time a players gone down and allowed the game to continue and not fell for usual antics.
  22. Didnt look a penalty on first viewing, few replays and he definitely pulls him back no question its a pen, silly defending
  23. Did you read what i put? I said i agree with your statement.... Doesn't mean your manager gets free reign to make crazy decisions and play players out of position.
  24. Completely agree however Bakinson on the LW? Playing Gregory LW Famewo LB Delgado LB Have zero confidence in getting any decent manager in however Xisco's decisions are really baffling.
