  1. Quick run down? Been pretty much absent for months
  2. Let's hope so. I don't think we'll be out of the top 8 for much (if at all) of the season!
  3. One thing that's never filled me with confidence watching Wednesday is manager after manager our players don't play with enough urgency and we can't counter quick enough to take advantage of momentum. So many times we win the ball back and the players switch the field via 2-3 sideways passes and the opponents have enough time to regroup and set against it. Maybe it's the (lack) of quality in the players themselves but you'd think footballers making 7-figures a year would have the skillset to able to do it.
  4. England starting lineup for the first match
  5. Who are the players who are out of contract? A lot of the top earners like Reach & co. right? This should cut a lot of costs for next season rebuild, yeah?
  6. Yep, that's a really good point. I believe United and Liverpool supporters already tried the walkout style protest and it did nothing. If these people give up their season tickets thousands of tourists will buy them up and those supporters might get put on a 20-year waiting list to get them back. The best tactic, like you mentioned, is to deliberately have games cancelled, week after week, point deduction after point deduction. Can't have the team bus drop the players off when there are 10,000 angry supporters blocking the entry, can't kick off if there are constant delays for security reasons (albeit, not due to serious individual attacks or anything). Force the powers that be to make their decision and if it is to further punish the fans then at least they played their hand and there is no going back, now even the dumb naïve fence-sitters can deny who the real enemy is.
  7. The problem with the Glazers from the beginning was the fact they acquired Manchester Utd through a leverage buyout. They never fronted their own money to buy the club, the whole deal was one disgusting backdoor deal with private banks to parasitically steal billions from the club. At least in the case of City and Chelsea those owners at least paid and invested to build them up the way they are. The Glazer deal should have never been allowed to happen and the FA, UEFA, FIFA should have then, and if they haven't still, implement regulations to ban leveraged buyouts from ever happening again. And all this talk of "the fans shouldn't be so hostile with their protest.." f**k that nonsense. They should continue get to get more hostile as time goes on. Whining about it on twitter does nothing, keep protesting and rioting and don't back down. You can never "legislate" these problems away by being giant fannies and doing nothing in the streets to enact the change you want. If it was good enough for BLM its good enough for football supporters. Don't back down, and don't shame the ones who have the balls to not back down.
  8. I've been living under a rock, what's the deal with Hearts? I see their highlights posted on the SPFL youtube channel and they play their games at Tynecastle behind closed doors.
  9. All I remember from Simon Donnelly was that goal he scored against Derby (that we allowed 2 goals in stoppage time...) and that's it. O'Donnell I genuinely don't remember a thing about him other than he passed away playing for Motherwell a few years after he left us. I wonder how many millions that alone cost us
  10. De Bilde only cost about 3mil which even back then wasn't a crazy amount, he scored double figures in an awful team. The guy was just a complete nutcase but the 2 Scottish lads signed at the same time were a bigger waste of money.
  11. Longest serving player by a mile and an academy graduate to boot. Would love to see him stay as long as he plays any part in the team.
  12. Yep that's the name, and thank god
