  1. No S/T for 2 seasons & (still) get access to away tickets?!?!?!?!?!? Impressive
  2. Ahhh I see now Buying (away) tickets is an altruistic action to keep folk in gainful employ? Surely such needs to be extended to buying ‘walk up’ & Cup tie tickets. Additional benefit of packing out Hillsborough lends solidarity with (increasing numbers of) stewards. Such comradeship could also be demonstrated through copious swilling of quarts of ale & glutinous devouring of multiple pies? Unemployment figures would plummet & think of the boost to the economy
  3. FFS I never thought anyone could surpass the idiotic crass repugnance of Shankly’s “Some people football is a matter of life and death…” sh!te, but, I guess you can never say never
  4. So, If I’ve got this correct… Filling away ends is good because it affords “players additional motivation” whilst also allowing “word to be spread” Whereas doing precisely the opposite @ home is good, because…… Which team will your smoggy mate (& his scarf) be motivating?
  5. Aye, but the figure is meaningless unless you know how many of that 20,132 are s/t holders (included in the attendance figure irrespective of their physical presence in the stadium The key statistics are how many are are ‘walk ups’ (+ how many s/t holders weren’t present)
  6. Wear a black & gold scarf whilst swilling a pint. Go to away games & ‘protest’ Go to home games because you’ve ’already paid for your s/t
  7. Aye As is attending “the ground” (home & away)
  8. Aw no !!!! Not more embargo’s !!!! Are these in addition to the ones described (in a ‘Stir’ artilcle / link) on page 7 of this thread, or, indeed, the post immediately afore (& directly above yours?!?!?
  9. Aye So rare that in the last two decades (only) 10 clubs (out of 60) finishing top 3 have lost less than 6 games in the season, ( & 2 of them were last season)
  10. Aye Althoough theres going to be a (very) long list of “Jonah’s” afore the season is over
  11. Aye & what would be really really really smart would be to ‘broadcast’ your misdemeanour on a football fans internet forum
  12. Aye The ‘best’ (sic) part is his disgruntlement about being ‘banned’ from ‘Football Heaven’ for making “just on joke in 15 years… about Jamaican cigarettes” Akin to bemoaning being ‘banged up’ for just 1 armed robbery
  13. In essence the City coat of arms with the addition of “SWFC” & the year
  14. With t’other fella being Vulcan- for obvious(?!?) reasons, Roman God of fire, metalworking, and forging
  15. As is the central element - the wheat sheaves (garbs) & arrows) (Not so ) interesting fact - the other lot across the City utilised the ‘full’ Sheffield Coat of Arms on their jerseys until the mid- 70’s when the Council refused to permission for its continued use. May be co-incidental but around the time (‘73) that the ‘stencil owl’ emerged?
  16. How many folk from across the City will see this as an opportunity to gain a ticket that they wouldn’t ordinarily have a chance of How committed will the club be to ensuring ‘segregation’ ?
  17. Whilst ever the ‘bairns’ keep winning I fear that an increasingly concerning facet of such ‘progress’ is being overlooked. How will the folk with limited finances, limited ‘family time’, limited opportunity, limited creativity/ flexibility ((& limited cognitive functioning) manage to (continue) funding their attendance- win against Grimsby & I fear the ‘poor house’ doors will be thrown open wide. Heaven help em when they see the ticket prices for Wembley & their offspring say “I want to go” (again)
  18. Aye Because ‘proper’ Wednesdayite would do something so contentious (selfish)
  19. Hmmm I take it ‘sums’ wasn’t your favourite subject in school? Whilst no expert, last I knew each club plays 46 games, albeit this season may prove to be an exception given the conversation we are engaged in?!? 23 of those (league) games are away which (optimistically) accrues your £100k 5 % of 23 x 3000 average x £30 (with no concessions) To ‘make’ that figure for home games would require (only) 150 ‘walk ups’ per game:- £30 ?!? x23. 10k home fans tomorrow accrue’s approaching half that @ an average of £10 per head Have you considered you” may only be able to go to one game per season” (implying financial reasons) is because of the current regime? & their ‘pricing structure’ ? Whilst I have no dog in the ‘fight’ - no season ticket (therefore) don’t (get opportunity to) go away, your rant about Season Ticket holders comes across as bizarre (& somewhat bitter) - that money is long gone - hence the need to strangle any / all income streams - I would hope (expect) that no S/T holder attends tomorrow. They could also decide to not attend league games There is some validity in considering away ‘boycotts’ also albeit I don’t believe an empty away end has anything like the resonance of an empty Hillsborough either financially (my original ‘point’) or, just as importantly visually (on national TV) & ‘psychologically to/ for the regime.
  20. So ”probably £2:50 per adult” in an attendance of <2500 & not withstanding the children within that figure versus £2.70 (+ booking fee?) per child in an attendance of (likely) >2500 & not withstanding the adults attending @ say £15 (only for Dirties game) = £6.75 + booking fee & that’s afore any other ‘sundry’ purchases, or indeed the ‘media’ impact of emply(ish) home stands & full away ends
  21. YES IT FECKIN DOES ! AND WITH ITALICS AND IN BOLD AND WITH EXCLAMATION MARKS!!!!! AND WITH (PSEUDO) PROFANIITY
  22. Hmm Who (which club) receives the revenue from sold out away ends
  23. Aye It will be more than longing looks if the club go ‘belly up’ Or, more likely, when, given the buffoons that justify their selfishness by hiding behind ‘doing it for the kids’
