Very well said. Everyone is affected differently, and it’s such a worthy thing to highlight this to allow others to acknowledge and feel able to talk about their mental health.
Football can be such an enabler for people to get enjoyment, forget worries and create connections with others, so when this is threatened it can understandably cause angst.
As fans, we all get the face on when our team loses or the season doesn’t go according to plan, but when the very fabric of our club and hopes and dreams for the season are pretty much swiped away like this, it can be much harder to deal with for some.
The constant daily drip feed or negative news over the summer can also take its toll if we’re not careful. I have had to check myself a couple of times and give my phone a rest for a few days, as it wears you out mentally.
I’m not totally sure that we’ve bottomed out yet, but surely we can’t be far away, if not already, which does (hopefully) mean that we will turn the corner soon and better times are ahead, even if the road may be bumpy.
Keep the faith all and look out for one another. WAWAW
PS please do one, Chansiri and give us all a lift!
