Just checked my first game was 8/11/1969 3-1 against Chelsea my last game will be 23/11/2025 home versus the Blades. 56 years. I bought an early bird for this season and haven't been yet. I won't be back until Chansiri has gone although realistically maybe never.

It's got to be a total boycott, boycotts work. Look at the situation at Brewdog due to actions of the company leaders regarding HR issues, 2000 pubs have now axed Brewdog from their pubs. The Sheffield Brewdog is boarded up. Similar situation with Bud Lite and the advertising campaign involving Dylan Mulvaney, at the Sturgis bike rally in the USA every single beer stand was heaving with not a drop of Bud being sold at the Bud Light stand, the advertising manager got the sack and Bud Lite dropped the Mulvaney campaign. If we don't adopt a more radical stance and stop going to. the matches we will remain a zombie club crashing around the lower reaches of the EFL for years to come. After the Leeds game the next boycott should the local derby, see how Sky report one of the fiercest derbies in English football with 5,000 Blades fans singing to empty stands.

I'll try and stay on topic and answer the question. I bought an early bird season ticket and through personal circumstances couldn't get to the Stoke game but I was at Leicester. I thought about what am I going to do about watching the Owls this season, I've got a great seat and love the excitement of match day. I've been going since 1969 the days of John Ritchie, Gerry Young, Whitham, Fantham etc and SWFC has been the backdrop to my life, but now is time for me to say enough is enough, I'm just thinking of which fixture to make my last game, the date of my last match might coincide with the first game I ever went to which was Chelsea in the cup at Hillsborough (Osgood, Bonneti etc, the Mighty Don Megson, Wilf Smith). Every season we having been trying to make progress but this situation is different and just too hard to take. Once I have decided which game is my last one I won't be coming back, so my permanent boycott is ready to go.

Good point about TUF and John West. When BudLite did an advertising campaign recently involving Dylan Mulvaney, their core customers hated it and boycotted Bud beer, I watched a clip from the Sturgis motorcycle rally when the bikers did their boycott not a customer at the Bud stand, everywhere else was heaving. Bud recognised the damage to their brand (and share price I assume) and sacked their marketing manager. Maybe other football fans would boycott John West in solidarity with us?

Southend missed eighteen payments to HMRC, we are only at three at the moment and just like us the owner failed to pay staff. I looked yesterday on the official site and I wasn't able to buy any tickets for the opening home game, perhaps a clue that the North Stand might not be open. Direct action is the answer, the boycott of shirt sales seems to be working but we need a few more ideas (peaceful of course).

Re the protests, I'm very wary. I listened to an interesting podcast Common Sense with Joey Barton, Episode 5 FFP Explained! Are Man City in trouble - Kieran Maguire Football Finance Expert, its a long listen (2 hours) but right at the end Joey asks Maguire about why Sheff Wed (as Joey calls us) have to put up with a Chairman like ours. The chairman of Reading is cited as an example that the EFL should be dealing with. Maguire answers that he believes that the EFL fear something worse, i.e. if the Chairman walks who will pay the bills ? My view is we should be careful what we wish for, if the Chairman walks away what will happen ? Finally, Maguire points out that since the inception of the Premiership in 1992 costs for fans have gone up 100%, club revenue has increased by 2000% and wages have gone up 3000%. It's definitely worth a listen.

The Danny Röhl situation has echoes of Big Ron to Villa in the early nineties, and the Hirsty to Man Utd under Trevor, look underneath and its all about money, its a job and career progression for those involved. Danny was interviewed as part of the Xisco recruitment process (please Mr Chansiri can I join your madhouse) and didn't get the job, came back again for a successful interview at the 'madhouse', and now he wants out. SWFC are nothing more than the next step on the Danny Röhl career ladder, he's undoubtably destined for big things. I'm ambivalent about Chansiri, his mistakes are well documented, but if Chansiri goes who is going to take over a club that is losing money handover fist? If the interested parties can agree the cash Danny will be gone, I'll still go - through thick and thin Wednesday Til I Die.

I just wonder if a Premier league club are going to bet the farm on an unproven manager, whose biggest achievement is saving us from relegation last season ? Maybe they are. Danny will take his two laptops, numerous coaches, XG stats and he will be off. Its frustrating/heartbreaking to see that we are now just what I call a 'zombie' club, lurching from one crisis to another, bouncing around the top of league one, lower half of the Championship. It's tragic that we are in this situation but we are not alone, add any number of historic big city clubs are just like us, Cardiff (Blackburn, PNE) fans posted a photo from their half empty ground on X this morning criticising their owner Mr Tan.

I see that Max Lowe is getting into a lot of the teams put forward for tomorrows game - just have a look at the highlights and in particular his defending for their 5th or 6th goal, half hearted to say the least.
