  1. If Liam stays fit, keeps his place if we have new owners, he could break Andrew Wilson's record of 546 appearances for the Owls sometime next season. There are 31 games left this season and he is 67 behind Wilson. I know he has got his critics (my brother is one of his biggest ) but I hope he does it.
  2. I was there as well, I've just watched the highlights on YouTube and still can't figure out who should have marked Lineghan who had a run up from the edge of the penalty area and put in a great header, Woods carried the can for the goal but poor marking for the header played a big part.
  3. Who was marking Lineghan for his header from the corner ? - it wasn't Woods.
  4. The IFR can take the club off him but someone has to pay the bills, the IFR has no budget to run a club because it's a government quango. Chansiri goes but there is no-one who can pay the day to day running of the club, so we are stuffed.
  5. I believe that Chansiri is going to try and ride this out, I don't think he cares what league we will be in, but his game plan is to eventually hand the club over to one of his family members.
  6. I'm wondering how the company that owns the ground fits into this scenario ? Is that part of the administration procedure ?
  7. Apologies, this is the link Saving Lives in Stadiums https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m002krl1
  8. Here's a link https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/live/bbc_radio_fourfm Top man, well done Paul
  9. Paul is on Cafe Hope Radio 4 right now - 9:45am 13/10/2025
  10. I think he made his debut in the Kinsmann game against Spurs, spotted during the summer World Cup along with Klaus Ingesson. Top player.
  11. Says in the article that there is hope for United and that they used AI to recruit (seriously) Selles.
  12. Good article in today's Telegraph https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2025/09/27/sheffield-is-the-most-broken-football-city-in-the-country/
  13. Annoying to see how good the second goal was.
  14. Just checked my first game was 8/11/1969 3-1 against Chelsea my last game will be 23/11/2025 home versus the Blades. 56 years. I bought an early bird for this season and haven't been yet. I won't be back until Chansiri has gone although realistically maybe never.
  15. Have you considered standup ?
  16. Peaceful protest at the AWAY teams match day hotel ?
  17. It's got to be a total boycott, boycotts work. Look at the situation at Brewdog due to actions of the company leaders regarding HR issues, 2000 pubs have now axed Brewdog from their pubs. The Sheffield Brewdog is boarded up. Similar situation with Bud Lite and the advertising campaign involving Dylan Mulvaney, at the Sturgis bike rally in the USA every single beer stand was heaving with not a drop of Bud being sold at the Bud Light stand, the advertising manager got the sack and Bud Lite dropped the Mulvaney campaign. If we don't adopt a more radical stance and stop going to. the matches we will remain a zombie club crashing around the lower reaches of the EFL for years to come. After the Leeds game the next boycott should the local derby, see how Sky report one of the fiercest derbies in English football with 5,000 Blades fans singing to empty stands.
  18. I'll try and stay on topic and answer the question. I bought an early bird season ticket and through personal circumstances couldn't get to the Stoke game but I was at Leicester. I thought about what am I going to do about watching the Owls this season, I've got a great seat and love the excitement of match day. I've been going since 1969 the days of John Ritchie, Gerry Young, Whitham, Fantham etc and SWFC has been the backdrop to my life, but now is time for me to say enough is enough, I'm just thinking of which fixture to make my last game, the date of my last match might coincide with the first game I ever went to which was Chelsea in the cup at Hillsborough (Osgood, Bonneti etc, the Mighty Don Megson, Wilf Smith). Every season we having been trying to make progress but this situation is different and just too hard to take. Once I have decided which game is my last one I won't be coming back, so my permanent boycott is ready to go.
  19. NEWS FLASH - Stand Watch: Had an exciting trip to the third isle at the new Aldi on Penistone Road this afternoon (Saturday 9/8/2025), no activity whatsoever in the car park below the North Stand, no contractors vehicles, nothing.
  20. Still a handful of tickets left in the ticket office as of 11:30 4 August 2025
  21. Good point about TUF and John West. When BudLite did an advertising campaign recently involving Dylan Mulvaney, their core customers hated it and boycotted Bud beer, I watched a clip from the Sturgis motorcycle rally when the bikers did their boycott not a customer at the Bud stand, everywhere else was heaving. Bud recognised the damage to their brand (and share price I assume) and sacked their marketing manager. Maybe other football fans would boycott John West in solidarity with us?
  22. I had a quick look on the trademark website https://www.gov.uk/how-to-register-a-trade-mark/before-you-apply last week and I couldn't find Sheffield Wednesday or SWFC - I might have missed it or not searched properly. Maybe it's not been registered ?
  23. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2024/may/02/southend-united-fc-slow-death-possible-rebirth-ron-martin-justin-rees Southend is a good example of the damage one person can do to a football club and echoes what's happening at Hillsborough. Southend missed eighteen payments to HMRC, we are only at three at the moment and just like us the owner failed to pay staff. Southend fans threw plastic rats on the pitch in reference to the owners nickname Ron the Rat . I looked yesterday on the official site and I wasn't able to buy any tickets for the opening home game, perhaps a clue that the North Stand might not be open. Direct action is the answer, the boycott of shirt sales seems to be working but we need a few more ideas (peaceful of course).
  24. https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2025/jul/16/morecambe-fc-football-club-takeover-crisis-fans-supporters From the article - "I suspect that Jason Whittingham has built a house of cards, and it is now falling down around his ears,” she said. “Morecambe FC is being held hostage, and it breaks my heart … The likes of Jason Whittingham should never have been allowed to buy a football club."
